This study was conducted by using experimental method. The objectives of the study were (1) to find out whether there is a significant difference in writing achievement between the eleventh graders who taught by using news broadcast videos and that of those who are not, (2) to find out whether there is a significant interaction effect of news broadcasts videos and motivation in writing achievement of the eleventh graders (3) to find out whether there is a significant difference in writing achievement between the eleventh graders who have high motivation and those who have low motivation. The population of this study the was eleventh graders of SMA Negeri 2 Palembang in the academy year of 2014/2015 consisting of 450 from 11 classes. The sample of the study are taken by using purposive sampling method. The total of the samples is 60. The results of the study are analyzed by using T-test and Two Way Anova. The results show that 1 there is a significant difference in writing achievement between the eleventh graders who taught by using news broadcast videos and those who are not and there is a significant difference in writing achievement between the eleventh graders students who have high motivation and those who have low motivation based on t-test analyzed. Based on two way Anova, there is not any significant interaction effect of news broadcasts videos and motivation in writing achievement. Based on the result of questionnaire, the students agree that news broadcast videos motivate them to learn English.

Education is a very important thing in people's lives. As is known that education will never be separated from learning activities, because without learning humans will not be able to do something. Science that a person can shape the attitudes, mindset, personality, views and insights that enlighten himself and others. It is realized that the importance of education for humans is a trigger in improving the quality of education. One effort to improve the quality of education is by giving birth to quality people. In the mathematics learning activities, it was found that most students were not confident about their abilities, and did not want to repeat the lesson again because they got bad grades. Based on the observations that the author did in Mathematics Education Department, self-efficacy (self-confidence) has not become a part that influences students mathematics learning outcomes. This study uses a correlation method with a quantitative approach. This study was conducted in the VII semester of the Mathematics Education Department STAIN Gajah Putih Takengon. The research sample was 21 students of Unit B Mathematics Education. Data collection tools are tests in the form of descriptions and questionnaires. Hypothesis testing using product moment test formula. Based on the results of research conducted on the students of the Mathematics Education Department at STAIN GPA, then obtained the results of the hypothesis Ha is accepted that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and student mathematics learning outcomes in non-parametric statistical subjects of the seventh semester Mathematics Education STAIN GPA students. The results of this study are that there is a significant correlations between self-efficacy and mathematics mathematics learning outcomes of Mathematics Education Department students of STAIN GPA.

Etiquette and manner of speaking reflected in the way of communicating by verbal or the way how to communicate. Etiquette of speaking is very important to pay attention by participants (communicator and communication) for fluency communication. Therefore, this language problem ettiquete should get the attention, especially the use of language in daily life. Speaking politeness describe politeness of the speaker. Ettiquete a child in speaking usually imitate the habit of his parents in speaking daily life. Sometimes parents inadvertently or accidentally often express the words or phrases that are not good to be heard by children. In this case the application needs to be civilized and polite language as an effort to build the character. Things that need to be done in building a child character are as follows. (1) Parents are accustomed to use polite language when communicating with children. (2) Parents should avoid taboo words. (3) Parents should seek to use fine words (euphemism). (4) Parents should try to choose the honorifics. (5) Parents should establish good relationship with teachers at the school to determine the personality development of their children.

Motivasi belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III di SDN Taman Baru, SDN Banjarmasin, dan SDN Gedong Harta tergolong rendah sehingga mengakibatkan rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa. Hal ini, diduga karena bahasa Indonesia dianggap sebagai pelajaran yang mudah tetapi membosankan sehingga siswa tidak termotivasi untuk mendengarkan penjelasan guru. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III di ketiga SD tersebut adalah Media Gambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh penggunaan media gambar terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas III SD Negeri di Penengahan, Lampung Selatan. Pemecahan masalah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang menerapkan konsep KTSP . Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar lebih efektif jika dikombinasikan dengan metode pembelajaran lain.

This research uses experimental method that is by using method of learning Auditory, Intellectuality, Repetition (AIR). From hypothesis testing using ttest statistic formula to know whether there is influence of application of learning method of learning of Auditory, Intelectuality, Repetition (AIR). After testing hypothesis on test of difference of two mean and calculation of data of economic learning result by using statistic formula, hence in can thit = 4,38 and ttab = 2.00 at 5% significant level so that proved that hit hit> ttab .. With so it can be concluded "There is influence of learning method of Auditory, Intellectuality, Repetition (AIR) to student's economic learning result of class X even semester SMA Negeri 2 Menggala year lesson 2016/2017". Judging from the mean score of the students, the experimental class x Ì…_ = 83.37 and the control class had an average value of x Ì…_ = 71.03. So the average students' economic learning outcomes using Auditory, Intellectuality, Repetition (AIR) learning methods are higher than students using conventional learning methods.

The problem of analyzing a novel literary work is that the mastery of every reading material must be mastered in depth each verse by verse. This is done to obtain an object of study will be examined in a study of literature. The purpose of the study are to know and analyze the educational values contained in the novel My Love Is A White Hacker by Mahmud Jauhari Ali. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method to analyze the value of education contained in the novel. The principal technique used by the author to collect data is by reading, understanding, and analyzing Mahmud Jauhari Ali's novel, My Love Is A White Hacker. Step analysis of the data by reading the novel carefully, summarizing the content or meaning, re-reading the novel intensively, describe and analyze the values of education and draw conclusions of educational values contained in the novel. The results of the analysis of the educational value data of My Love Is A White Hacker's novel by Mahmud Jauhari Ali, namely the value of social education, such as help, empathy and togetherness, the value of religious education such as gratitude, truth value, moral education value such as honesty.

Bahasa Indonesia not only as a communication tool to deliver the process of public relations Indonesia, but it could be able to change the whole order of community life, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and togetherness in the community that ultimately a sense of kinship in society. Indonesian is good and right way is the Indonesian language that it suitable fits with the determinants of true communication in the application of rules of language. The understanding of the people about the usage of good and correct Indonesian language can pride and loyalty to the Indonesian language that is able to grow a positive attitude toward the Indonesian language. This positive attitude encourages the people to maintain, develop and use the Indonesian language as a symbol of identity and community unity.

The main objective of teaching English as a Foreign Language is enables students to use English for communication in real-life situations. However, it is a fact that many students find difficulties in mastering English. They cannot speak English well although they have learned English for years. It is the teachers’ responsibility to encourage students to practice their English at least in the classroom hours. The English teachers should apply various teaching techniques and teaching media that over higher and wider opportunities to use English in real-life situations.All kinds of instructional activities and exercises provided by the English teachers should offer and challenge students to use English orally so that they will not be afraid of making mistakes in their speaking.

The correlation between students’ vocabulary and tenses mastery with their writing ability is interesting to be investigated. The writer took this title of the research because the writer found that the students’ writing ability need to be improved because the lack of vocabulary and tenses mastery. The objectives of this research were to know and described the correlation between students’ vocabulary and their writing ability, to know and described the correlation between students’ tenses mastery and their writing ability, to know and described the correlation between students’ vocabulary and tenses mastery with their writing ability. In this research the writer used descriptive quantitative method. The writer took 40 students’ as the sample from 205 students as the population. The population was the students’ of the eight class at MTs Al-Ikhlas Tanjung Bintang Lampung Selatan in 2015/2016. In getting the sample the writer used Stratified Proporsional Random Sampling Technique. To get the data vocabulary and tenses the writer used objectives test that was multiple choice contains 50 questions and 40 question. To get the data of writing test the writer used essay text. The writer used scoring system proposed by Heaton. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there is correlation between students’ vocabulary and tenses mastery with their writing ability the result showed that the level of the correlation is high, rcount = 0.91 with n:40 higher than rtable = 0.312, which has been counted on product moment table at significance level 5%. The writer concludes there is correlation between students’ vocabulary and tenses mastery with their writing ability of the eight class at Mts Al-ikhlas Tanjung Bingtang Lampung Selatan in 2015/2016.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R pada hasil belajar siswa dengan mengambil pokok bahasan program aplikasi Microsoft Word, (2) aktivitas belajar siswa terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R, (3) respon siswa terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control Grup Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Bandar Lampung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur ranah kognitif. Data hasil belajar kemudian dianalisis dengan melakukan uji prasyarat yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji-t. Aktivitas belajar siswa menggunakan metode observasi, sedangkan untuk respon menggunakan metode angket.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII Semester Genap SMP Muhammadiyah Bandar Lampung. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen tergolong cukup aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, dan siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran PQ4R
