Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between (1) reading habit and listening skill in English, (2) vocabulary mastery and listening skill in English, and (3) reading habit together with vocabulary mastery and the students’ English listening skill. The research was conducted in As-syafi’iyah Islamic Senior High School (SMA Islam As-syafi’iyah 02 Pondok Gede). The population of the research is all students in As-syafi’iyah Islamic Senior High School. The sample used 30 students who selected randomly. The technique for analyzing the data was the statistical technique of correlation and regression. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a positive correlation between reading habit and listening skill, with coefficient correlation (rx1y) = 0,646 and the regression equation Ŷ = 5,742 + 0,152X1. The coefficient of determination yielded is (r²) = 0,416. It means that 41,6% of the listening skill in English is determined by reading habit. (2) there is a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and listening skill in English, with coefficient correlation (rx2y) = 0,764 and the regression equation Ŷ = 6,161 + 0,657X2. The coefficient of determination yielded is (r²) = 0,583. It means that 58,3% of the listening skill in English is determined by vocabulary mastery. (3) there is a positive correlation between reading habit, vocabulary mastery and listening skill, with coefficient correlation (Ry1.2) = 0,791 and the regression equation Ŷ = 3,613 + 0,063X1 + 0,510X2. The coefficient of determination yielded is (R²) = 0,626. It means that 62,6% of the students’ English Listening skill is determined by reading habit and vocabulary mastery. Therefore, from the result of this research it can be concluded that students’ English listening skill can be enhanced by increasing students’ reading habit and vocabulary mastery either individually or simultaneously.

Abstract

Writing is a way to express idea, thinking, feeling, that are arrange from the words into sentence in written form. Writing spoof text is involved into one of these skills that have to be mastered by the students. Writing spoof text is also involved in the curriculum of Indonesia Education for senior high school. But one important thing that has to be concerned in writing spoof is the grammar. So, the result of writing will be better if we can use the correct grammar, because the measure of grammar can cause misunderstanding. From this case, the writer wants to discuss their writing ability by mastering grammar. The objectives of this research is to know the correlation between students‟ grammar mastery and their ability in writing spoof text. The method of this research was descriptive quantitative method. The population of this research was 72 students which consisted of eleventh classes. The sample of the research was 36 students. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling technique. In data collecting technique was multiple choice for grammar mastery and essay test for writing ability. In analyzing the data the writer used multiple correlation formula. Based on the calculation in Chapter IV, it can be seen that rcount is 0.717. It means that rcount is more than 0.00. So there is possitive correlation or there is correlation between students‟ grammar mastery and their ability in writing spoof text.

Abstract

The success of a real literary work can not be separated from the aesthetic value that is owned by a literary work. The aesthetic value can be viewed in terms of the use of language style. Therefore, as a supporter of the aesthetic value of a literary work, required the use of a variety of style, one element of eroticism is seen to pose a greater sense of real value and pemajasan to beautify the intended meaning. The study which is based on the short story collection 1 Perempuan 14 Laki-Laki by Djenar Maesa Ayu and others, aims to describe how to use the language of eroticism as well as in the book collection pemajasan 1 Perempuan 14 Laki-Laki by Djenar Maesa Ayu and others. The method selected for this study was descriptive qualitative method. The most dominant figure of speech is an affirmation, an affirmation figure of speech itself is the most widespread is the figure of speech repetition. The next domination demonstrated through comparison figure of speech.

Abstract

In the process of learning the use of media or learning models is very important because it can cause desire and interest in learning a new one that is expected to improve learning outcomes. In this regard the issues raised in this study is whether there is an influence of using cooperative learning techniques two stay two guests (two stay two stray) to the learning outcomes of integrated IPS second semester of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of cooperative learning techniques two stay two guests (two stay two stray) to learning outcomes of integrated IPS second semester of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this research is all class VIII Semester even SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2014/2015 a total of 11 classes to 302. And the number of students who take the sample in two classes, one class as an experimental class and the other class as the control class. The sampling technique used in this study is a random cluster sampling technique. Data analysis was done by statistical quantitative data by using t-test formula that data relating to the figures obtained by the students after the test. Based on the hypothesis testing results obtained using thit thit = 7.66 and from 0.05 significance level distribution tables known ttab = t (1 - ½a) = 2.02 and t (1-α) = 1.68. It can be concluded that the entire hypothesis proved to be true, which means that there is influence of using cooperative learning techniques two stay two guests (two stay two stray) on learning outcomes IPS Integrated second semester of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2015/2016. The average results of social studies integrated students who use cooperative learning techniques two stay two guests (two stay two stray) higher than the results of social studies integrated students who do not use cooperative learning techniques two stay two guests (two stay two stray) against results Integrated social studies second semester of eighth grade students of SMPN 19 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The most important factor in writing is that students need to be personally involved in order to make the learning experience of lasting value. Encouraging students’ participation in the exercise, while at the same time refining and expanding writing skills, requires a certain pragmatic approach. The teacher should be clear on what skills he/she is trying to develop. The method of this research was experimental method. The population of this research was the students at the first semester of the seventh class at SMP Budi Karya Natar Lampung Selatan consisting of 78 students in 2 classes. The samples of this research were two classes, the first class as the experimental class and the second class as control class. In taking the sample, the writer used total sampling technique. In collecting the data, the writer used writing test. The writer provided some topics for the students, and they were asked to write a descriptive text based on the topic chosen. In analyzing the data, the writer used ttest formula. The result of this research showed that the writer proved that the students’ ability in writing descriptive that learn descriptive text was higher than the students’ who learn descriptive through conventional technique. It was proved by the average score of students’ ability in writing descriptive text in experimental class was higher than the average score of students’ ability in writing descriptive text in control class (69.95 > 54.67). Then, the calculation of ttest showed that the score of ttest was higher than ttable with significance level 5% and 1% (7.88>1.67>2.39). Therefore, the writer proved the hypothesis that there is a significant influence of Group Work towards students’ ability in writing descriptive text at the first semester of the seventh class at SMP Budi Karya Natar Lampung Selatan in 2014/2015.

Abstract

This reseach aims to get an overview of learning Social Studies with an interdisciplinarity approach at the Junior High School in Bojong Gede Kabupaten Bogor. This research was conducted qualitatively by trying to discover the implementation of social studies learning in an interdisciplinary by means of an interview, observation, observation the documentation and literature review. Based on the reseach done known that the implementation of social studies learning with an interdisciplinarity approach consists of three aspects, first learning planning, the second implementation of learning and the third evaluation of learning. In the planning stage, the steps taken are; 1) review and analyze standards of competence / core competencies and basic competencies, 2) set the themes, 3) map basic competencies and indicators of material achievement, 4) create theme networks, 4) develop thematic syllabus and 5) compossing lesson plans thematic. At the stage of the implementation of social studies learning with an interdisciplinarity approach can be done by submitting material in an integrated manner based on predetermined themes. The choice of themes in the interdisciplinarity approach can be done by analyzing basic competencies, then determining the theme based on the main topic, based on the main potential and based on the problem, so that the boundaries between one discipline and another become invisible and manifest interdisciplinarity between social studies. At the stage of evaluation of social studies learning with interdisciplinarity is to measure indicators of achievement of competencies that cover three aspects of the domain in accordance with the objectives of social sstudies, namely aspects of skill and values.

Abstract

The problems studied in the study relate to the application of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model and mathematical connection ability. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of class VIII Even Semester 2 Middle School 2 Warkuk Ranau South Academic Year 2018/2019. The study used quasi-experimental methods. Analysis of research data to determine the effect of treatment given using the t test with data that is normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average mathematical ability of the experimental class is higher than the average value of the control class, which is 76.56> 61.88. This is supported by the results of hypothesis testing obtained by the value t = 6.49. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5% it is known that t = = 2.00 means t> t which is 6.49> 2.00, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of Grade VIII students Even the 2nd Middle School 2 Warkuk South Ranau Academic Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Pengelolaan pendidikan terkait dengan Pemerintah secara makro sebagai pembuat kebijakan dan secara mikro Kepala Sekolah sebagai sebagai pengelola sekolah. Sebagai orang yang bertanggung jawab terhadap manajemen di sekolah, kepala sekolah dituntut untuk dapat bekerja secara baik dan profesional. Melihat beratnya pekerjaan yang diemban oleh kepala sekolah, maka jabatan ini merupakan jabatan yang tidak dapat di isi oleh sembarang orang. Jabatan ini harus benar-benar di isi oleh orang-orang yang berkompetensi dan profesional. Namun amat disayangkan bahwa: ”Departemen Pendidikan Nasional memperkirakan 70 persen dari 250.000 kepala sekolah di Indonesia tidak Kompeten”. Kesimpulan ini merupakan temuan Direktorat Peningkatan Mutu Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan Departemen Pendidikan Nasional setelah melakukan uji kompetensi. Banyaknya kepala sekolah yang kurang memenuhi standar kompetensi ini diduga sebagai akibat dari kurang baiknya proses rekruitmen dan pengangkatan kepala sekolah yang selama ini berlaku. Proses pengangkatan kepala sekolah jarang disertai pendidikan dan pelatihan.Pendidikan dan pelatihan kepala sekolah adalah program kesempatan balajar yang terencana dalam satuan waktu tertentu yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja kepala sekolah. Dalam prosesnya, diharapkan ada perubahan tingkah laku sebagai akibat adanya interaksi antara stimulus yang diberikan dengan respon. Dasar filosofis dari pendidikan dan pelatihan adalah berlandaskan nilai-nlai pancasila.Tujuan utama dari pendidikan dan pelatihan kepala sekolah adalah untuk memperoleh kecakapan khusus yang diperlukan oleh kepala sekolah dalam rangka pelaksanaan tugas-tugas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Oleh karena itu maka program-program pendidikan dan pelatihan harus dikemas secara rapi, menarik serta menjadi suatu program yang berkelanjutan atau paling tidak merupakan suatu bagian kehidupan dan pelaksanaan tujuan di ulang kembali. Pendidikan dan pelatihan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan profesionlisme dapat dilaksanakan dengan dua program, yaitu program pre-service dan program in-service training. Program pre-service diperuntukkan bagi calon kepala sekolah yang akan menjadi kepala sekolah. Sedangkan program in-service training diperuntukkan bagi mereka yang telah menduduki jabatan kepala sekolah. Ada tiga kelompok materi dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan, sehingga dengan adanya materi tersebut dapat memenuhi harapan persyaratan jabatan kepala sekolah. Materi tersebut dibagi dalam kelompok dasar, kelompok inti dan kelompok pendukung.

Abstract

Pengajaran bahasa tidak dapat Iepas sama .sekali daripada pertumbuhan ilmu bahasa pada umumnya. Kaum Brahma di India beberapa abad sebelum Masehi mendapat “pelajaran" bahasa Sansekerta dari ahli-ahli tata bahasa mereka. Biarpun tujuannya berbeda daripada pelajaran bahasa pada umumnya yaitu karena kaum Brahma itu mengusahakan "kemurnian" ucapan dan pembentukan frasa dan kalimat, supaya mantera-mantera yang mereka ucapkan tidak kehilangan hikmahnya, pengajaran bahasa bagi kaum Brahma itu merupakan pengajaran bahasa yang sesuai dengan ilmu bahasa murni. Untuk itu pada tulisan ini saya akan membahas tentang pembagian frasa dalam bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop social study learning through Pie Chart and to know the effectiveness of learning through Pie Chart in social study learning. The research method used was research and development (R&D). The desain of learning development through Pie Chart used the step of Dick and Carey. The researcher used purpose sampling in taking tke sample of the research. The researcher took two classes VII3 as the control and VII6 as experiment class. The research result of this learning development concluded that, (1) This research was the development of social study learning through Pie Chart to increase the study result of the student in seven grade of SMP Wiyata Bhkati Natar Sout Lampung 2015/2016; (2) The study result of posttest in experiment class that used Pie Chart in social studies learning was higher than the control class that used conventional learning.
