Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of variations in Small-Sided Games (SSG) training methods on increasing anaerobic lactase capacity in U-17 soccer players by comparing the Pyramid and Interval methods. Using a quantitative pre-test and post-test experimental design, this study involved 20 players selected by purposive sampling, with anaerobic capacity measured through the Running-Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST). The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed that the Pyramid method significantly increased anaerobic lactase capacity, with a more significant decrease in Fatigue Index than the Interval method (p = 0.029, p < 0.05), indicating its effectiveness in maintaining explosive power and ATP-PCr regeneration. In contrast, the Interval method did not significantly increase (p = 0.598, p > 0.05). However, the Independent Sample T-Test results showed no significant difference between the two methods in increasing anaerobic capacity (p = 0.977). These findings suggest that both Pyramid and Interval methods can improve explosive power and ATP-PCr regeneration, with effectiveness that can be adjusted based on athlete needs and training strategies. In conclusion, the application of SSG as an effective and enjoyable training method, with further research involving larger samples, longer training durations, and additional analysis such as effect size to optimize training effectiveness. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of physical education on children's self-confidence and developing gross motor development. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative. The subjects involved in this study were grade VI students and teachers at one of the State Elementary Schools in Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency. In this study, data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation techniques to see how the role of physical education affects children's self-confidence and gross motor development. The results of this study indicate that there are problems with teachers who do not provide understanding to children first so that in practice children are not confident, and their motor development is hampered. The solution taken by the teacher is to provide meaningful material understanding first so that it is easier for children to be more confident and develop their gross motor skills when practicing in the field. Conclusion, Physical education has a significant influence on both aspects. Through structured physical activities, children can improve their gross motor skills, such as walking, running, jumping, and balance skills Keywords: Elementary school children, Motor development, Physical education, Self-confidence,

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the physical activity levels of Generation Z university students based on the population density of their residential areas, specifically between high-density and low-density regions. A quantitative approach with a comparative survey method was employed. The sample included 157 active university students aged 16–27 years, with 87 from campuses in high-density areas (Bandung City) and 70 from low-density areas (Sumedang Regency). Physical activity levels were measured using the short version of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, followed by the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test due to the non-normal distribution of data. The results showed that the average physical activity level of students in high-density areas was 3600 MET-minutes/week, slightly higher than those in low-density areas with an average of 3585.143 MET-minutes/week. However, the Mann-Whitney test revealed that the difference was not statistically significant (significance value = 0.795 > 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that population density does not significantly impact the physical activity levels of Generation Z students. Other factors such as motivation, lifestyle, and access to facilities may play a substantial role. Keywords: Physical activity, population density, university students, Generation Z, IPAQ

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence on the physical education learning outcomes of upper-grade elementary school students. The research employs a quantitative correlational method with a sample of 93 students randomly selected from several elementary schools in Cimanggung District. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence, along with students’ learning outcomes in physical education. The findings indicate a significant relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning outcomes (r = 0.773, p < 0.001) as well as between intrapersonal intelligence and learning outcomes (r = 0.766, p < 0.001). These results suggest that the higher a student's interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence, the better their physical education learning outcomes. Therefore, integrating the development of both types of intelligence into physical education instruction is essential to enhancing the quality of learning. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of Small-Sided Games (SSG) training with the Pyramid method on the improvement of alactic anaerobic capacity in U-17 Persib Academy football players. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design and applies the Running-Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST) as a measurement tool. The research results indicate that the training intervention provided had a significant impact on the improvement of sprint speed, as reflected by the reduction in total sprint time and Fatigue Index in most participants. Statistical analysis through the normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test shows that the pre-test data has a value (p-value = 0.999 > 0.05), while the post-test data has a value (p-value = 0.221 > 0.05). Because both p-values (Sig.) > 0.05, the data are normally distributed. And the statistical analysis through the paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results (p-value = 0.029 < 0.05), confirming that SSG training is effective in improving anaerobic endurance and energy efficiency of the players. Conclusion, the small-sided games (SSG) method is recommended as a training strategy that can enhance the alactic anaerobic capacity in soccer players. Keywords: Anaerobic Alactacid, Fatigue Index, Football,  Small-Sided Games, Sprint.
