Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a serious health issue that can lead to death if not detected early. To support early detection, this study applies the eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm to classify patients at risk of CKD. The dataset used is the Chronic Kidney Disease Dataset from Kaggle, consisting of 400 patient records and 26 clinical attributes. Preprocessing involved imputing missing values and converting categorical features into numerical form. The model was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that XGBoost achieved 99% accuracy, with 98% precision and 100% recall, indicating excellent performance in binary classification tasks. This study demonstrates that XGBoost is a reliable algorithm for automatic prediction of chronic kidney disease. Keywords: XGBoost, chronic kidney disease, classification, machine learning

Abstract

Mobile applications have become a crucial part of the digital world, especially in the gaming industry. GSSHOP is a platform that provides various gaming products, from consoles and games to accessories, along with features like vouchers, points, and repair status. This research focuses on evaluating and improving the usability and user experience (UX) of the GSSHOP app. Although it has been downloaded by many users, the low rating on the Play Store indicates significant issues with its UI/UX. The initial survey using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with 40 participants showed an average score of 37.625, which falls in the low category. This suggests that the app is not meeting the users' needs. This study will focus on redesigning the UI to improve the SUS score and address usability issues, such as difficult navigation and unclear product information. The goal is to provide user-centered UI design recommendations that could improve user satisfaction, boost the Play Store rating, and support the growth of the GSSHOP business.

Abstract

Abstract Beauty cotton products come in different quality levels, and subsequently is important to categorize, especially in the area of cosmetics, and face care. Manual assessments of cotton quality are often subjective and not always accurate, this is why an automatic classification system is needed. The purpose of this study is to classify beauty cotton based on their images based on texture using Gray Level Co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN). The dataset comprises of 600 cotton images of three different brands, Sariayu, Watson, and Selection. Each image was transformed to grayscale, resized to 100 ´ 100 pixels, and then the texture features were derived which consist of contrast, correlation, energy, and homogeneity. The classification results show that the maximum performance was achieved at K = 5 with 81% accuracy, these results show that the image-based texture approach can classify cotton quality automatically and objectively and has possibilities in future systems for cosmetic products quality evaluation systems.

Abstract

Aplikasi mobile era digital fundamentalnya bertumpu pada User Interface (UI) dan User Experience (UX). UI menjadi wahana interaksi primer; memfasilitasi pengguna untuk eksekusi perintah maupun akses konten. Berbeda halnya, User Experience (UX) merefleksikan persepsi pengguna terhadap sistem, dengan penekanan pada intuitive information navigation dan clarity. MAXstream, sebagai penyedia layanan streaming Over-The-Top (OTT), kini menghadapi tantangan signifikan perihal UI/UX. Meski unduhannya tinggi sekali, tapi memiliki rating rendah di Play Store/App Store. Survei awal System Usability Scale (SUS) dilakukan ke 40 responden. Hasilnya skor rata-rata 50, masuk kategori 'Poor', Grade F. Ini jelas sekali tunjukkan ketidaksesuaian antara kebutuhan pengguna dengan fitur yang ada di aplikasi. Makanya, riset ini akan berfokus pada perancangan ulang UI. Tujuannya utama adalah membuat ulang UI yang benar-benar memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna agar ketidaksesuaian itu menjadi minimal. Metode Double Diamond dipakai dalam proses ini untuk mengidentifikasi prioritas pengguna dan pandu jalannya redesain UI. Diharapkan riset ini akan memberikan rekomendasi desain UI yang lebih user-friendly. Yang sanggup tingkatkan kepuasan pengguna, perbaiki rating aplikasi, dan dukung pertumbuhan bisnis MAXstream secara strategis.

Abstract

In the current digital era, e-commerce has emerged as a primary choice for many business actors, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) specializing in batik products. Live streaming commerce has gained popularity as an effective marketing strategy, enabling direct interaction between sellers and consumers. However, challenges such as audience engagement and the need for prompt responses to questions or comments during live sessions pose significant issues that need to be addressed. To assist MSMEs optimize this strategy, the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies can provide innovative solutions. LYFY, an AI-driven e-marketplace platform, was developed to support batik MSMEs by facilitating product promotion, enhancing consumer interaction, and enabling efficient transactions through features such as live streaming and size prediction tools. To assess the effectiveness of LYFY's user interface and overall experience, a usability evaluation was conducted using two standardized frameworks: ISO 9241-11 and the Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX-Lite). The finding suggests that LYFY provides a high-quality user experience and is well-positioned to support the digital transformation of Indonesia’s batik SMEs.

Abstract

The implementation of information technology can be a key factor in improving the quality of tutoring services. However, many institutions do not yet have a structured system architecture framework, which hinders the achievement of business goals. This study aims to design an Enterprise Architecture (EA) in a tutoring institution. Designed using the TOGAF-ADM approach method, to create a structured IT framework that supports improving services and business efficiency by aligning IT strategies with operational needs, identifying gaps, and building an integrated system for data-based decision making. Research methods include analyzing organizational needs, identifying existing conditions, designing business architecture, data architecture, and application architecture in accordance with the ADM stages. The results of the study are in the form of a business process diagram, including system integration, optimization, and development of IT-based services. Using the implementation obtained in the results and discussion, tutoring institutions will increase competitiveness, improve operational efficiency, and optimize resource utilization. In conclusion, the application of TOGAF-ADM as an EA design framework is relevant and contributes to building a more adaptive and oriented information system foundation.

Abstract

Toko Ramai Rambipuji is a retail store that manages transactions manually, often leading to errors in transaction calculations, product recording mistakes, and long queues, which hinder operational efficiency. To address these issues, a web-based point-of-sale system will be developed using Laravel as the framework and MySQL as the database, with data collected through interviews and observations, and system testing conducted using unit scenario testing. This application will feature transaction recording, sales report generation, and an intuitive user interface, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, reduce transaction errors, and improve customer service. The originality of this project lies in the tailored implementation of Laravel and MySQL to meet the specific needs of Toko Ramai Rambipuji, providing a relevant and practical digital solution to enhance the store’s competitiveness in the digital era. The test results received positive feedback from the user. They felt that the POS system developed was helpful.

Abstract

Mobile applications play a crucial role in the modern transportation sector, including Whoosh – Indonesia High-Speed Rail, which provides ticket booking and travel information services. Despite a high number of downloads, the application has received low ratings, indicating issues related to its UI/UX. This study aims to enhance the quality of the interface and user experience through a Design Thinking approach, involving stages of empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing. An initial evaluation using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) with 46 users identified problems such as confusing navigation, a non-intuitive booking flow, and the lack of a direct assistance feature. The redesign focused on simplifying the interface, implementing OTP-based login, and adding a live chat feature. Follow-up testing showed significant improvements across all UX aspects, with average scores falling into the "Good" to "Excellent" categories. These results indicate that the redesign of the Whoosh application successfully enhanced user satisfaction and supports the image of an efficient and modern transportation service.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an personality prediction system based on the Big Five Personality model using Transfer Learning with VGG-Face on video data. This research is significant as accurate personality prediction can be applied in various fields, such as behavior analysis. In this study, the pre-trained VGG-Face model, along with two LSTM layers followed by several Dense and Dropout layers, is used for facial feature extraction from video. These features are then used to predict personality across five key dimensions: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. The study uses secondary data from the ChaLearn Looking at People (LAP) dataset, which was utilized in the CVPR 2017 competition and includes approximately 10,000 videos. The model is evaluated using the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) metric, which is then converted into regression accuracy. The evaluation results show strong performance with accuracy: Training: 91.75%, Validation: 90.39%, and Testing: 90.28%. The results show that the model has consistency and the ability to generalize well to data it has never encountered before.

Abstract

Flat tires during travel are a common issue, especially when drivers are in unfamiliar areas. Although digital maps like Google Maps are widely used, information on tire repair locations remains limited. This study aims to design a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that displays real-time locations of tire repair services. The system includes features such as operating hours, service types, and contact details. Development was carried out using the Laravel framework and the Waterfall method, covering stages from communication to testing. GPS technology, Dijkstra’s algorithm, and geofencing are implemented to calculate the fastest route and detect user location. Black Box testing confirms the system functions properly and supports the digitalization of local tire repair services for easier online access.
