Abstract

This research focuses on the origins of the culture that developed at the Sunan Drajat Islamic boarding school, the process of integrating Islamic values into the culture, and the benefits of integrating Islamic values into the lives of the students and the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical. The results show that the Joyo Samudro Karawitan culture emerged from KH. Abstract

The low learning motivation of students in Islamic Religious Education at the elementary school level is often caused by monotonous, traditional, and teacher-centered learning methods that limit students’ active participation. This condition makes students less enthusiastic and less engaged in the learning process. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Joyful Learning method and its impact on students’ learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at SDN 27 Pinrang. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that implementing Joyful Learning through educational games, active discussions, group work, creative media, and contextual learning increased students’ motivation, enthusiasm, participation, and understanding. This method created a pleasant learning atmosphere, reduced boredom, and strengthened positive relationships between teachers and students. Also, it can improve students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and support their cognitive, emotional, moral, and spiritual development in IRE.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning has not only altered pedagogical strategies but also reshaped students' Well-being experiences. This study aims to examine the meaning of student Well-being and the factors influencing it in IRE learning in the digital era. This research employed a qualitative, phenomenological design. The findings reveal that student Well-being is interpreted as a holistic construct encompassing academic balance, emotional comfort, quality of social relationships, and spiritual meaningfulness within IRE learning. Well-being is shaped by the interaction of pedagogical practices, peer relationships, the design and workload of digital learning, students' self-regulation in technology use, family support, and school-based spiritual practices. The novelty of this study lies in the formulation of a conceptual model of student Well-being in IRE grounded in students' perspectives, integrating pedagogical, digital, and spiritual dimensions simultaneously within a learning ecosystem framework that implies the need to develop IRE learning practices oriented toward holistic and sustainable Well-being in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of the Ngaji.AI application to improve students' Qur'anic reading and memorization abilities at MTs As'adiyah Gilireng. This research is motivated by challenges in Qur'anic learning, including limited learning time, low reading accuracy, and minimal use of digital media in rural madrasahs. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students. The findings indicate that the use of the Ngaji.AI application has a positive impact on improving reading fluency, accuracy of makhraj and tajwid, and consistency of students' memorization. Artificial intelligence–based features such as automatic correction, real-time feedback, and audio repetition support independent learning while enhancing students' motivation and self-confidence. This study contributes to the growing body of research on AI-based Qur'anic learning.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology brings new challenges to the character building of the Alpha generation growing up in a digital ecosystem; the Alpha generation is vulnerable to the negative influence of cyberspace, such as moral degradation. This study aims to examine how Islamic Education shapes the digital ethics of the alpha generation and the strategic steps it takes to build the alpha generation's character. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study found that Islamic Education plays a role in building awareness of digital ethics through instilling awareness of Islamic morals in doing activities on social media, preventing cyberbullying and hate speech behavior by instilling Islamic values, teaching the concept of trust in the use of digital media, and developing a critical attitude towards digital information. In addition, strategic steps that can be implemented include integrating digital ethics material into the Islamic Education curriculum, optimizing teachers' roles as moral mentors, and collaborating with parents and communities to monitor children's use of digital technology.

Abstract

The implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) has become a dominant paradigm in higher education in Indonesia, particularly in supporting quality assurance and the accountability of learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the implementation of OBE in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at universities and to examine the extent to which this approach accommodates both students' academic achievement and the development of their spiritual awareness. This research employed a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design. The findings indicate that OBE effectively supports students' academic achievement, which is categorized as high. However, students' spiritual awareness remains at a moderate level and tends to develop implicitly outside the formal evaluation system. These findings highlight the need to integrate spiritual awareness more explicitly within the OBE framework in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Although digital technology has significantly changed education, some teaching strategies are still ineffective, such as the Islamic Cultural History curriculum at MTsN 7 North Aceh. This study aims to examine how YouTube content affects students' motivation to learn in Islamic History (SKI) classes. The research methodology employed in this study is the quantitative technique of the one-group pre-experimental design. 21 students from class VII/D made up the research sample, and pretests, posttests, and observation results were used to gather data. The study's findings demonstrate that students' motivation to learn rose from 65.24 on the pretest to 78.67 on the posttest. The results of the paired t-test showed a difference between the scores prior to and following the use of YouTube media, with a value of 0.000 (<0.05). The pretest and posttest scores are well correlated, as indicated by the correlation value of 0.742. The conclusion shows that YouTube-based learning is effective in increasing students' learning motivation and creating an engaging and interactive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Initial observations at MTsN 4 Madiun revealed that the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students in Aqidah Akhlak were relatively low, as many students had not achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 70. This condition was influenced by the limited use of varied instructional media, indicating the need for more innovative learning tools. This study aims to examine the effect of using Plotagon as a learning medium on students' learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group. The sample consisted of two classes: VIII B as the experimental group and VIII C as the control group, each with 30 students. The results showed that both groups had relatively equivalent initial abilities, with mean pretest scores of 71.33 (experimental) and 70.50 (control). After treatment, the experimental group showed significant improvement, with a mean posttest score of 85.67, higher than the control group's 71.33. Hypothesis testing showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming a significant positive effect.
