Abstract

Universities as higher education institutions play an important role in producing competent human resources. One of the key elements in supporting university operations is the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure that are classified as fixed assets. Effective and efficient asset management is very important to ensure the success of the education process. However, based on observations at the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (UMMI), several problems were found in the management of fixed assets, such as lack of asset identification, storage of damaged assets, and lack of maintenance. This can be caused by a weak internal control system. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Implementation of the Internal Control System in Fixed Asset Management at the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi based on the COSO Internal Control components, namely, control environment, control activities, risk assessment, information and communication, and monitoring. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the management of fixed assets at UMMI which is applied based on the theory put forward by COSO has shown several strengths, such as a clear organizational structure with separation of duties and authorities, and the use of effective information systems. However, there are still some areas that need improvement, such as the lack of specific training for employee competency development and constraints in storing damaged goods and maintaining barcodes on old fixed assets. Nevertheless, UMMI has shown commitment in conducting risk assessments and periodic monitoring, including audits by the Internal Audit Unit (SPI). Overall, the fixed asset management system and internal control at UMMI have been running quite effectively, but there is still room for improvement to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of fixed asset management in the future.

Abstract

People's Business Credit (KUR) is a government program to help MSMEs access financing. However, the State Savings Bank (BTN) Sukabumi Branch Office faces challenges in achieving its distribution target, with significant fluctuations and decreases in the realization of KUR. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of KUR distribution, identify the factors that cause the non-achievement of the target, and formulate a strategy to increase the realization of KUR in BTN KC Sukabumi. The scope of the research includes KUR's business processes and distribution performance for the period January to May 2024. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The results of the study show that the KUR distribution process has a structured procedure with credit analysis using the 5C and 7P methods. However, the realization of KUR distribution has decreased drastically, from 146% in January to only 0.6% in April. The main factors causing this are the tightening of distribution criteria and the limitations of service areas. To overcome these challenges, a comprehensive strategy is needed including intensification of local marketing, optimization of distribution networks, product innovation, strengthening partnerships, and utilization of technology. The implementation of this recommendation is expected to increase the effectiveness of KUR distribution and support the development of MSMEs in the Sukabumi area.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the world of education and business. In the context of higher education, the use of accounting software such as Accurate has become an integral part of the modern accounting curriculum. This is in line with the demands of the world of work which increasingly relies on technology in daily accounting practices. According to a survey conducted by the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) in 2020, more than 80% of companies in Indonesia have adopted accounting software in their operations, with Accurate being one of the main choices of the Bali State Polytechnic, as one of the leading vocational education institutions in Indonesia, has integrated the use of Accurate in the Business Administration Department curriculum. This step was taken in response to industry needs and an effort to increase graduate competency in facing the digital era. However, although the use of Accurate has been implemented, there has been no comprehensive evaluation of its effectiveness in improving students' accounting understanding and skills. This research aims to measure the extent to which the use of Accurate contributes to increasing conceptual understanding, practical skills, and work readiness of students majoring in Business Administration. By involving 162 respondents and using quantitative methods, the collected questionnaire data was then processed using SPSS version 26 software. The results of this research indicate that theoretically, this research strengthens the argument about the importance of technology integration in accounting education while emphasizing the role of contextual factors such as teaching methods and infrastructure. This supports a holistic approach in accounting curriculum development that focuses not only on content but also on delivery methods and learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of burnout and a non-physical work environment on employee performance at PT Saudara Buana Samudera Medan. 150 respondents from various departments in the organization participated in the quantitative approach survey technique. We analyzed the collected data using multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between the independent variables (burnout and non-physical work environment) and the dependent variable (employee performance). The results showed that burnout has a significant negative impact on employee performance. Employees who experience high levels of burnout tend to show decreased productivity, a lack of motivation, and lower engagement in their work tasks. In contrast, a conducive non-physical work environment, such as strong social support, flexibility, and a comfortable working atmosphere, contributes positively to improving employee performance. A positive non-physical work environment can create conditions that allow employees to work more effectively, increase job satisfaction, and motivate them to achieve better results. Based on these findings, this study suggests that company management focus on efforts to reduce burnout, such as employee welfare programs, stress management, and workload adjustments. Furthermore, we highly recommend enhancing the non-physical work environment by implementing policies that promote work-life balance and foster positive interactions among coworkers. Thus, companies can improve overall employee performance, which in turn will have a positive impact on the company's productivity and sustainability. This study provides important insights for human resource management in organizations to create a healthier and more productive work environment.

Abstract

This research delves into the interplay of procrastination, leadership traits, and assertive communication, examining their combined influence on employee productivity. Procrastination, the tendency to delay tasks, has been identified as a significant factor affecting productivity. Concurrently, leadership traits, including intelligence, self-confidence, determination, and personal integrity, play a pivotal role in shaping employee behavior and performance. This study posits that assertive communication acts as a moderating variable, influencing the relationship between procrastination, leadership traits, and employee productivity. A quantitative approach is employed, utilizing a research model comprising two independent variables: procrastination and leadership traits. Assertive communication serves as the moderating variable, while employee productivity is the dependent variable. The study's hypotheses are tested using data collected from a sample of 159 employees from various companies, representing a diverse age range. The findings reveal that procrastination negatively influences employee productivity, while positive leadership traits positively impact employee productivity. Furthermore, assertive communication is found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between procrastination, leadership traits, and employee productivity. Employees exhibiting lower procrastination tendencies, coupled with effective assertive communication, demonstrate higher productivity levels. Similarly, positive leadership traits, complemented by assertive communication, contribute to increased employee productivity. In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of addressing procrastination and fostering assertive communication within organizations to enhance employee productivity. The presence of assertive communication, along with positive leadership traits, can mitigate the negative effects of procrastination and promote a more productive work environment.

Abstract

Determining the location of the factory is an important element so that the factory continues to develop and operate. The Sumedang Saribumi Karawang tofu factory has problems in the production process, during the continuous rainy season the factory experiences flooding so it has to close production and experiences increased transportation costs due to the distance between the factory and several distributors. relatively high operational cost barriers of IDR 43,650,000 per year. So, when selecting the right location it is necessary to avoid obstacles in the production process. Therefore, it is important to select a location using the Center Of Gravity method. Based on previous research, the Center of Gravity can produce distribution centers based on the location of the location to be addressed and the volume of delivery so as to produce optimal locations and the distribution process can be effective and efficient. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with Center Of Gravity calculations. By conducting observations and interviews and collecting some of the document data needed for the research. The research results show the optimal location of the factory with coordinate points X (–6.418306, 107.388306). namely in the Cimahi, Klari, Karawang Regency areas. The total reduction in distance resulting from this research was reduced by 4 km. By reducing the total distance traveled, transportation costs will also be smaller. The location of the Sumedang Saribumi Karawang tofu factory which has been suggested is at several distributor locations and also the newest location tends to not experience flooding with the location being in an area with a good drainage system that can drain rainwater quickly and efficiently thereby reducing the risk of flooding. So the current location is an advantage that can be utilized by the Sumedang Saribumi Karawang tofu factory because the distribution process is the key to the success of distribution activities.
