Abstract

This study aimed to describe the level of achievement motivation Hindu religious teachers are certified educators. This research belongs to qualitative research. The population of this study were teachers of Hindu religious subjects at Junior High School who were certified educators in Tabanan Regency. Samples were taken using saturated sampling techniques. The research instrument used was achievement motivation questionnaire. The questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 8.7% of teachers had very high achievement motivation; 76.1% had high achievement motivation and 15.2% had achievement motivation level in the sufficient category. The achievement motivation of these teachers is influenced by factors such as job satisfaction, appreciation, physical and social environment and the existence of career paths.

Abstract

This study aims to describing character education in the application of blended learning in elementary schools. The other purpose of this study is to formulate character education activities suitable for integration into blended learning in elementary schools. The research method used is library research (Library Research). Data collection techniques applied in this discussion are reviewing books, research journals, literature, and other documents deemed relevant to the research problem. The findings in the data collection process are documented for later analysis and presented descriptively. The results of this study are; 1) a study of character education in elementary schools, 2) a study of the application of blended learning in elementary schools, and 3) description of integrating character education in the application of blended learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of applying the effect of speed reading technique on the students’ ability in comprehending a text at grade X of SMA N 4 Pematangsiantar. The problems of this study are “What is the effect of using speed reading technique to the students’ ability in comprehending a text?” and “Is the effect of using speed reading technique more significant to the students’ ability in comprehending a text?” The method used in this research was quantitative research design. The population of this research is the tenth grade students of SMA N 4 Pematangsiantar academic year of 2019/2020. Populations of this research are 235 students. Sample of this research are two classes which are divided into control (X PMIA-6) and experimental class (X PMIA-7). The research instrument in the form of multiple choice test. There are 10 questions. After the data had been analyzed, the researchers conclude that the effect of speed reading technique on the students’ ability in comprehending a text was high. It was found that the value of t-test > t-table (1, 96 > 1, 67). It means that the use of speed reading technique on the students’ ability in comprehending a text is significant effective. Based on the result, it can be seen that the students’ reading comprehension ability increases. They can understand the passages easier and efficiently. Moreover, the students are not bored in learning English since the technique used. They can get maximum result with minimum effort.

Abstract

This classroom action research was done at SMPN 1 Abang at grade VIII A that were still low in learning achievement and also in learning activities in English lesson especially at speaking class. This study aimed at knowing wether the implementation of PAIKEM as learning model combined with Communicative drilling can improve students’s speaking skill in English.The research data were students learning activities data and students learning achievement in english lesson.The students activities data were taken by using observation technique, while students learning achievement data were taken by students achievement in term of Basic competence test. The colected data were then analized in descriptive and qualitative method. The result of the research data analisys showed the mean of students learning activities at pre- sycle step was 63.33% then increased to 75.23 at sycle I and 86.19 at sycle II. While the mean point of students learning achievement showed 69,85 with the 40% in mastery learning then increased into 74.54 with 68% mastery learning at sycle I and at the sycle II the mean increased into 76.02 with 85% mastery learning. The reserach can be summerized that the implementation of PAIKEM learning model combined with Communicative drilling could increase the students learning activities and students learning achievement.

Abstract

Education is the most important thing controlled by humans from generation to generation. Without education it will break the blindness of knowing the universe. Education will not recognize people with disabilities or the normal, the fulcrum is the will to learn. This has become the spirit of the students in Mahatmia orphanage to always study knowledge, including knowledge about the teachings of Hinduism. Surely there will be obstacles in the implementation of Education carried out at the Mahatmia Orphanage. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the type of qualitative research sourced from primary data, namely members of the Mahatmia orphanage and Hindu religious teaching staff, while Primary data sources are related books and articles. To make it easier for researchers to obtain data, interview and literature data collection methods are used which are then analyzed and presented in the form of qualitative descriptions. The results of the study can be classified into two things: 1) The obstacles of learners who are blind people will naturally experience limitations in understanding the material presented. 2) the obstacle of the teaching staff is of course adjusting the learning methods applied so as to provide a correct understanding to the blind people at the Mahatmia Orphanage properly about the teachings of Hinduism. Through these obstacles, of course, the learning method becomes the main key in improving future learning so that religious learning, especially Hinduism, can be carried out effectively.

Abstract

The occurrence of a COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a learning system changing from face-to-face learning to online learning. Many people are questioning whether the effectiveness of online learning / online to be implemented. Effectiveness in learning can be seen from the achievement of learning objectives, increasing student understanding of the material presented. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of online learning from the perspective of students and lecturers. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method conducted online by utilizing the use of Google forms. Abstract

In general, this study aims to improve the quality of learning in microeconomic theory courses in students of the Economic Education study program, Faculty of Economics, Unimed. In particular, this study aims to develop a feasible and effective Android-based macroeconomic theory learning media for learning. Based on the research results, the application of ed classes in the microeconomic theory course has been validated by 3 media and material experts. The results of expert validation resulted in a decision that the Ed Classes mobile learning application had a very high level of feasibility with a note that revisions needed to be made. After all revision notes were corrected, the mobile learning was then tested in small groups on 20 class C students in semester 3 of the Microeconomic Theory course. Based on the results of these trials, it is known that to test the effectiveness of the elasticity material it is concluded that the posttest learning outcomes of students after using mobile learning Ed Classes are significantly higher than the results of student pretest. Whereas in the practicality test it is known from three indicators, namely ease, usability and time effectiveness, all of which show satisfactory results at the strong level of practicality category. The results of this study are expected to increase learning motivation and also to increase student learning independence. It is hoped that the preparation of mobile learning can be as practical as it will make it easier for students to learn. Mobile learning applications, of course, can trigger students to master technology that makes human life easier and supports the industrial revolution 4.0 in the world of education.A maximum 200 - 250 words abstract in English with book antiqua font 11 point, 1 spacing, justify, italic. Abstract should be clear, descriptive, and should provide a brief overview of the problem studied. Abstract topics include discipline area, the purpose of article, reasons for the selection or the importance of research topics, research methods, hipothesis, the results of research, research’s contribution in discipline area, and a summary of the results. Abstract should end with a comment about the importance of the results or conclusions brief.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the ability to write descriptive essays for fifth grade students in the first semester of SD Negeri 1 Tejakula in the 2019/2020 school year through the application of the ficture and ficture learning model. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The design of each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing / evaluating and reflecting. The research subjects used were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Tejakula which provided 25 student. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the data obtained, it can be shown that the application of the learning model of pictures and pictures can improve the ability to write descriptive essays for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Tejakula, starting from pre-cycle 64.00% which is classified, cycle I of 69.00% which is classified as sufficient and increased again in the second cycle of 76.40% which is classified as good

Abstract

This study aims to describe the readiness of economic teachers in facing online learning in Ende City. The sample in this study were all economics teachers in Ende City. This research method is quantitative descriptive research. The data collection technique used a questionnaire for primary data and secondary data using a documentation study. The data obtained were analyzed using the theoretical-descriptive approach and percentage techniques. The result showed that the readiness of economics teachers in facing online learning in Ende City ranged from 61,11 to 79,17 with the ready and very ready categories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an objective description of the form of teacher intervention and the types of expressive speech acts of students in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The theory used in this research is pragmatic theory and theory of intervention. Based on data analysis, the results of the research in cycle I are described as follows. 1) Teachers are more dominant in using preventive interventions, while psychotherapy and psychosocial use are not too often used in the learning process. 2) In the learning process, expressive speech acts were found in the form of complaints, expressing confusion, agreeing, and expressing annoyance. Students tend to convey expressive speech that expresses a sense of complaint. 3) Students 'expressive speech was born because the teacher intervened, but the effect of the intervention did not bring about positive changes in students' expressive speech. While the research results in cycle II are described as follows. 1) Teachers use preventive interventions less often, while psychotherapy and psychosocial use are more frequently used in the learning process. 2) In the learning process, expressive speech acts were found in the form of apologies, expressing requests, approving, and expressing optimism. Students seldom deliver expressive speech that expresses a sense of complaint. 3) Students 'expressive speech was born because the teacher intervened, and the effect of the intervention brought about positive changes in students' expressive speech
