Abstract

Geguritan is one of Hindu literary works that pack a lot of Hindu religious education values that can be used as guidelines and demands in everyday life. One of them is the Geguritan Wirata Parwa which is classified as Ithiasa which in it is packed a lot of Hindu religious education values such as: tattwa, susila and acara. There fore, to be able to dig and find the values contained in the text of Geguritan Wirata Parwa, it is necessary to conduct in depth study through a scientific research that aims to interpret every essence of teaching and values contained therein appropriately.

Abstract

Problem Formulation of this research is the Application of Mastery Learning Learning Model to Increase Mathematics Student Achievement in Class IXB First Semester 3 Strait Middle School in 2018/2019 Academic Year The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning achievement of class IX B students of SMP Negeri 3Selat in semester I, year 2018/2019 lessons. The place for this classroom action research is in the 3 Strait Middle School, by taking the research subject of class IX B students in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The object of this class action research is an increase in Mathematics learning achievement of students of class IX B of 3 Strait Middle Schools, 2018/2019 Academic Year. The average value of 51.61 in the first cycle and in the second cycle rose to 77.58. The application of Mastery Learning Learning Model to Improve Mathematics Learning Achievement is effectively applied in the learning process which results in students being active, enthusiastic, critical thinking and able to understand the material being taught so that students' learning achievement increases.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the reality of education in the present. The decline in the quality of education in Indonesia, which is less concerned with learners' affective education, has resulted in a decline in the morale of the younger generation, some actions that are not in accordance with values ​​and norms have become commonplace, such as corruption, juvenile delinquency, cheating, absent during school hours for students and so on. Some parties indicated that the decline in morality that occurred in Indonesia was one of them due to the low quality of education which lacked attention to character education for their students. This study aims to answer the problem: how the concept of learning Hinduism education in the formation of Hindu children's character, how the application of Hinduism education learning in the formation of Hindu children's character and how the implications of learning Hinduism education in forming the character of Hindu children in Surakarta City Elementary School. These problems are discussed with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques using participant observation, interviews and documentation. After the data is obtained through data collection techniques then the data is analyzed through the process of data management in the form of data reduction. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of learning Hinduism education in the formation of the character of Hindu children in Surakarta City Primary School is carried out with the planning and implementation stages. For the success of learning Hinduism education, Hindu teachers must also master good and comprehensive learning methodologies supported by adequate learning facilities and infrastructure. The success of learning programs in schools, especially in building the character of students, must be borne jointly by all school people starting from school leaders, teachers, employees, and active student involvement. In addition, schools must also involve parents of students and the entire community around the school to participate in supporting the success of the school in building the character of its students.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the ability of Hindus subject teachers in compiling syllabus subjects in Elementary Schools in Karanganyar District, implementing Hinduism subject learning in Karanganyar Regency, students' responses in participating in Hinduism subject learning. This study uses descriptive qualitative research method with a single embedded case study strategy because this study is directed at a characteristic, namely the ability of Hinduism subject teachers in carrying out learning tasks. The data source consisted of informants who included Hindu religious teachers, principals, deputy principals for curriculum affairs, library officers and students in grades V and VI, learning activities, facilities and infrastructure, locations, namely the condition of the school environment, especially classrooms, archives and documents includes learning tools, syllabus, and student assignments. Data was collected by in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis. The analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model, namely the interaction between data collection and three components of analysis, namely: data presentation, data reduction, and verification / conclusion in a cycle. The results of the study showed that the majority of Hindu subject teachers in Elementary Schools in Karanganyar District had been able to compile the syllabus well in accordance with the characteristics of the Karanganyar Elementary School which must be made as a direction for teachers in teaching which contained material descriptions, learning objectives , time allocation, methods, media, and evaluation techniques in the form of formative tests, final examination tests. There are a small number of Hindu subject teachers who do not compile syllabi. The material only depends on the syllabus of the results of the Teacher Working Group (KKG). In addition, optimal cooperation has not been established between teachers, principals, school committees and education councils, in discussing the curriculum including in formulating syllabus so that it influences the less than optimal performance of teachers in carrying out assignments in Karanganyar Elementary School, in the process of learning religious subjects Hindus in the class, Hinduism subject teachers convey constraints, including frequently changing curriculum factors, time allocation, infrastructure, and student factors. These obstacles are crucial in the learning process of Hinduism. In overcoming these obstacles Hinduism subject teachers always prepare themselves carefully and try to look attractive with the media, methods, and evaluations that are used even though it is still conventional means to use the lecture method due to limited time with balanced material, the teacher only conveys the outline only, the response of students to Hindu religious subjects is negative and deviates from the provisions, the 2013 curriculum objectives. This is indicated by: indifferent to Hinduism subject teachers, responses in the passive learning process, only as loyal listeners, without critical thinking , rarely ask the teacher, there is an idol in learning Hinduism subjects, the means in the form of Hinduism subject books that students have are very minimal, students only have limited textbooks that are borrowed from the library, lack of students' understanding of the meaning or value that contained in learning of Hinduism.

Abstract

Lack of student interest in learning causes problems in the learning process. In dealing with this problem Sumerta 5 State Elementary School Denpasar applied traditional mapoh-pohan as a method of simulation of Hindu learning for class IV. The results showed (1) the form of traditional game mapoh-pohan as a learning method similar to the game of dragon snake but different in terms, language and song used (2) This method has several functions, namely: 1) educational function: increase participation, interest and achievement student learning, 2) social functions: improving students' social skills and teacher and student interpersonal relationships, 3) cultural preservation and 4) recreational media. (3) The values ​​contained in this method are: the formation of character (sportsmanship, honesty, independence, fieldwork, discipline and togetherness). Besides that, it also contained the values ​​of Hinduism, namely the cultivation of the teachings of chess paramita, and the teachings of satya.

Abstract

Death means the relationship with the world in fact has been broken, Ida Sang Hyang Widhi, the creator of birth and death who has the authority to determine the status of the age limit, which cannot be predicted by ordinary people, when the right time passes to the afterlife according to the will, charity and karma. So, death is a necessity of human life, which is then each nation, religion, the tribe has its own way of giving their final respect as humans who have cultural civilizations. Just like the Nyewu ceremony in Surakarta City. There are many things studied in this study, namely: the form of the implementation of the Nyewu ceremony, the functions and meanings contained in the Nyewu ceremony, what values of Hindu religious education are contained in the Nyewu ceremony. To achieve the objectives of this study, an ethnographic approach was used using qualitative methods. In revealing the research used Structural Functionalism Theory, Symbolic Interactional Theory and Behaviorism Theory. Data is collected by observation, interview, and literature study. Ceremony which is the implementation of Pitra Yadnya. According to the Manusmsriti book based on the way the ceremony is performed, it is classified as a Prasita ceremony. There are several functions contained in this ceremony, namely religious function, social function, cultural preservation function, Nyewu ceremony, as part of Javanese culture, which contains very noble values and national cultural values as ancestral heritage that has been passed down through generations and inherited from the previous generation. The noble values contained in the ritual ceremony related to the teachings of Hinduism are the core of the value of Hinduism education, which is described in the Tri Kerangka Dasar Agama Hindu (tattwa, susila, upacara) as the basic concept of Hindu religious education. The value of tattwa education in the implementation of the Nyewu ceremony, among others: five beliefs in Hinduism namely Panca Sradha. The value of moral education in the implementation of the Nyewu ceremony, is the application of the teachings of Tri Kaya Parisudha. The value of Hinduism event education that can be gleaned from the implementation of the Nyewu ceremony is a form of application of its five principles. The application of the noble values of the Nyewu ceremony is an implementation of Hinduism based on the sacred teachings of the Vedas, because these values serve as guidelines for Hindus in particular.

Abstract

The aim of this class room research which was done at class VII F of the first year students of SMP Negeri 1 Abang academic Year 2017/2018 is to improve achievement of learning Civics by using Team Game Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Metod. The result data of this research was collected by giving achievement test. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result of this research consist of first data , cycle 1, and cycle 2. The first data showed the mean of the class was only 71,29% and Minimum Learning Creteria was 48.38%. This data was far from expectation since Minimum Learning Creteria of Civics in this School was 75.00% . In cycle 1 the mean of the class reached 73.22% and the presentage of Minimum Learning Criteria was 58.06%. In cycle 2 the mean of the class had been reached 82.90% and the presentage of Minimum Learning Criteria was reached 87.09%. This data in cycle 2 was an expected data as the eeffect of using Constructive Teaching and Learning Metod. The conclussion was Team Game Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Type Metod can encrease the student achievement of learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' ability to write drama scripts using the STAD type cooperative learning model. This type of research is classroom action research. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 3 Tongauna in the 2017/2018 school year consisting of 19 students. The instruments used in this study were test and nontest instruments. The ability of students in writing drama scripts refers to classical learning completeness and individual learning completeness. Students are said to complete learning if students get a value of 70, and said to be completed classically if at least 85% of students are able to achieve a value of 70.Based on the results of the study, the ability of VIIIA grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Tongauna in writing drama scripts using the STAD type cooperative learning model increased in each cycle. Starting with the ability of students in the pretest stage, the average value obtained was 64.03. Then an increase in cycle I to 74.56, and an increase in the second cycle to 84.21. The increase in the number of students who completed the pretest was only 7 students or 36.84%, then an increase in the first cycle to 13 students or by 68.42%, and increased again in the second cycle to 18 students or by 94.73%. From 19 students showed that their ability to achieve mastery value had reached 85%, with this it can be concluded that the use of STAD type cooperative learning models can improve students' abilities in writing drama scripts.

Abstract

Membaca selalu dianggap sulit oleh banyak siswa. Sebagian besar siswa di Universitas Lakidende mengalami masalah berikut: masalah pertama menyangkut; mereka masih kurang memahami apa yang mereka baca. Masalah kedua, cara guru mengajar membaca digunakan cara konvensional dan tidak mendorong siswa untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, salah satu masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam proses pengajaran adalah bahwa hanya beberapa siswa yang dapat memahami teks dengan baik. Hal ini disebabkan oleh tidak adanya motivasi dari siswa untuk membaca dalam bahasa Inggris dan sebagian besar sudut pandang siswa tentang membaca dalam bahasa Inggris membuat mereka bosan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyelidiki apakah penggunaan schoology akan mengungkapkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam bahasa target serta menemukan apakah strategi tersebut berdampak pada motivasi mereka untuk menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari Studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana schoology meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Di kelas eksperimen disebut kelas yang diberi schoology. Sedangkan kelas kontrol disebut kelas yang diberi seperangkat kondisi biasa atau cara konvensional, yaitu strategi tiga langkah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Lakidende Unaaha dengan sampel 66 mahasiswa sarjana. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes membaca. Hasilnya menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada pemahaman membaca siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol sebelum dan sesudah perawatan. Peneliti menggunakan analisis uji-t Sampel independen oleh SPSS ayat 16 untuk menguji hipotesis. Analisis data menunjukkan ada peningkatan yang signifikan pada pemahaman membaca siswa dari pre-test ke post-test mengungkapkan perbedaan yang signifikan (0,000 <0,05) sebelum dan sesudah implementasi schoology. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Schoology efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa.
