Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of SERVQUAL service strategies in Umrah worship for physically disabled pilgrims at PT. Harum Bina Wisata, Indramayu. To ensure that physically disabled pilgrims can perform Umrah worship smoothly and solemnly, PT. Harum Bina Wisata has developed a special strategy that focuses on meeting the needs of pilgrims with physical disabilities. The methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative, which is based on field analysis. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with (managers, staff of PT. Harum Bina Wisata, and physically disabled pilgrims), and documentation which was then analyzed thematically to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the five dimensions of SERVQUAL: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study indicate that the main strength of the bureau lies in its experience and deep understanding of the needs of physically disabled pilgrims. The tangible dimension is reflected in disability-friendly facilities, such as wheelchairs, hotel accessibility, and safe and comfortable transportation. The reliability and assurance dimensions are seen in the consistency of service and the ability of staff to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims during the trip. Responsiveness is demonstrated through the bureau's ability to respond to sudden needs, while empathy is seen in a personal approach that fosters a sense of appreciation among pilgrims. Although the results show quite high satisfaction, a significant challenge faced is the limited number of workers with special skills in serving pilgrims with physical disabilities. Therefore, it is recommended to develop special training for staff, improve the quality and quantity of facilities, and collaborate with disability organizations to improve the quality of service. This study is expected to provide a significant contribution in creating a more inclusive and quality Umrah service for pilgrims with physical disabilities at PT. Harum Bina Wisata.

Abstract

The acceleration of technology has another impact on human understanding that is based on holy books. This condition is characterized by the existence of claims of religious truth that only glorify themselves and their groups and look down on religions and groups outside themselves so that religion becomes one of the causes of disharmony in society that often triggers inter-religious conflict. This study raises the issue of how religion has two powers that can unite and divide society and even the country. By using qualitative descriptive analysis based on literature, the researcher conducted an analysis of the meaning of religion, values ​​of tolerance, and harmony from the perspective of Habermas's public sphere concept. Through the application of the principles of religious ethical values, it is hoped that it can contribute to efforts to realize harmony and togetherness in the era of globalization so that open and inclusive communication is established as the key to building shared understanding and reaching a fair agreement. This theory provides an overview of how public space can contribute as an essential framework in a democratic society. The conclusion of this study shows that tolerance is the main indicator for building a strong foundation in society so that it can accept the differences that exist in the public sphere. It is necessary to understand the values ​​of tolerance in Hinduism as a form of spiritual-humanist discussion model to build religious moderation in the era of technological disruption so that public opinion refers to criticism or control carried out by society can influence state policy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of planning, organizing, implementing, and assessing in an effort to improve the quality of student memorization in the Tahfidz class program at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. The type of research used is qualitative research with a field research approach. The subjects involved in this study included the principal, Tahfidz coordinator, Tahfidz teacher, and students who participated in the Tahfidz program. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive method based on the Miles and Huberman model, while triangulation techniques were used to validate the data obtained. The results showed that the management of the Tahfidz program runs well, especially through cooperation with Griya Qur'an in the learning process. The program is carefully managed to support all stages of its implementation, in accordance with the predetermined objectives. The Tahfidz program management process includes planning which includes educators, selection of students, financing, learning materials, and activity procedures. Organizing is done by preparing an organizational structure in accordance with the duties and responsibilities of each party. Program implementation is carried out through Tahfidz learning activities, and assessment is carried out through several stages of assessment in the learning process that has been prepared previously.

Abstract

This research discusses the discourse on shifting madhhabs (intiqalul madhhab) in the context of wukuf based on two seminal works in Islamic jurisprudence: al-Fiqh ‘ala al-Madhāhib al-Arba‘ah by Abdulrahman al-Juzairi and al-Fiqh al-Islāmī wa Adillatuhu by Wahbah az-Zuhaili. The diversity of legal interpretations among the four major Sunni madhhabs (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali) has made the issue of switching madhhabs a relevant topic, particularly in pilgrimage rituals like wukuf, where the validity of worship can depend on specific legal requirements. This research aims to analyze how both scholars frame the concept of intiqāl al-madhhab, and to evaluate its relevance to contemporary hajj practices. The study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using descriptive-comparative analysis of both texts to explore methodological similarities and differences. The findings reveal that both works support the legitimacy of madhhab transition under certain shar‘i conditions. Al-Juzairi emphasizes the comparative diversity of fiqh rulings and presents detailed mazhab-based legal options for wukuf. Az-Zuhaili, on the other hand, strengthens this flexibility through in-depth textual analysis and the application of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The study concludes that shifting madhhabs can serve as a practical and theologically grounded solution for pilgrims facing complex or difficult situations. This aligns with the Islamic legal maxims promoting ease and removing hardship, making intiqāl al-madhhab a valid contemporary approach in ritual practice.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Tazkiyatun Nufus in the book Madarij As-Salikin by Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah as an Islamic counseling strategy in the process of purifying the soul, with a focus on its implementation at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Mangkang Wetan. Amidst the challenges of modern life that is full of pressure and temptation, students as the next generation of the community also face spiritual problems, both from within themselves and their social environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method and content analysis, which explores the principles of tazkiyatun nufus such as takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli as well as practical strategies such as dhikr, muhasabah, tafakkur, and mujahadah that are relevant in the context of Islamic counseling. The results of the study indicate that Madarij As-Salikin not only offers a profound Sufi concept, but is also able to be an applicable guide in forming a clean soul and noble morals. This study also reveals the real problems faced by students, namely the struggle between knowledge and lust, as well as the inequality of social relations between students that can hinder the process of purifying the soul. Therefore, an integrated Islamic counseling strategy with the values ​​of tazkiyatun nufus needs to be developed so that it can touch the spiritual, emotional, and social dimensions as a whole, so as to form a complete and characterful Muslim person.

Abstract

This study aims to study three aspects, namely: Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation of Problem Based Learning model learning to improve students' critical thinking skills in Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah subjects in grades X, XI, XII at Muhammadiyah Pontren Imam Syuhodo High School. This study uses qualitative research methods. Data sources are obtained from primary and secondary data. The researcher obtained primary data directly from al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers. Secondary data sources come from previous journals and information provided by al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Direct interviews with al-Islam and Muhammadiyah experts then conduct observations and documentation. The data were validated by triangulation. The results of the research show that the educational planning has been adjusted to the Muhammadiyah curriculum. To improve students' critical thinking skills, the facilitator uses the Problem Based Learning model at the learning implementation stage. This model includes problem-oriented to learners, organizing learners, guidance in individual and group investigations, creating and presenting works, and analyzing the evaluation of the problem-solving process. For the evaluation stage, the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers did not use observation sheets to assess the students' activeness. On the other hand, the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers conduct assessments by assigning assignments, which are then discussed by students. Thus, the students of SMA Muhammadiyah Pontren Imam Syuhodo showed an improvement in their critical thinking skills during the learning process which was based on problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at El Dzikir Islamic Boarding School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, the research explores the learning practices, challenges, and positive impacts of implementing this curriculum in a pesantren environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and PAI teachers, non-participatory observation, and analysis of learning documents. The results showed that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum has been running quite well although it has not been maximized. The implementation stages include planning (including teacher training and socialization to student guardians), implementation (with an active learning approach and project-based), and evaluation both test and non-test based. Learning facilities such as projectors and Chromebooks are supporting factors, while the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) has successfully integrated Islamic values through activities such as Quranic Camp. Key challenges include teachers' and learners' adaptation to the new curriculum and learners' difficulty maintaining focus during digital learning and outside the classroom. Positive impacts include more dynamic learning, development of learners' independence and critical thinking skills, and a more flexible and creative role for teachers. This research shows that pesantren-based educational institutions are able to adapt Merdeka Curriculum while maintaining Islamic values in the learning process. The findings contribute to the development of a national curriculum implementation model in the context of Islamic education and provide practical recommendations for optimizing the integration of religious values with contemporary pedagogical approaches according to the Pancasila Learner Profile.

Abstract

The teacher's skill in using audio visual media is the teacher's ability to operate and utilize media that combines audio (sound) and visual (image) elements effectively in the learning process. This study aims to determine how the teacher's skills in using audio-visual media, especially on the material of fardhu prayer in class II of Tahfidz Al-Jamiel Elementary School. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive type that aims to explain the data naturally, objectively and realistically with the aim of searching and finding information. Islamic Religious Education Teacher of Tahfidz Al-Jamiel Elementary School Palangka Raya as the research subject. The informants in this study were the principal and students. The results showed that from planning, implementation to follow-up, it was carried out effectively. In planning, teachers choose media that is in accordance with the material and characteristics of grade II elementary school students. During implementation, teachers operate the media well, keeping students focused and engaged. After learning, teachers provide opportunities for students to repeat the material, and conduct evaluations in the form of assessments to measure the extent of students' understanding during the learning process. As for obstacles, there are several obstacles faced by teachers, such as limited time to prepare appropriate media and technical problems with the tools used. Nonetheless, teachers still try to ensure students understand the material taught and work to overcome these obstacles. Teachers also continue to innovate and develop their skills in the use of audio-visual media so that the learning process remains interesting and not monotonous for students to support the smooth learning process.

Abstract

The concept of purifying fire, whether in the form of Purgatory in Catholic teachings or Hell in Islam, is an important topic in the eschatological studies of both religions. Purgatory is understood as a temporary stage of purification for souls who die in a state of grace but still carry minor sins, while Hell in Islam is described as a place of eternal punishment for those who disbelieve or commit major sins. This study aims to compare the concepts of Purgatory and Hell from the perspectives of Catholicism and Islam, as well as to analyze the theological implications of both concepts. The research method employed is a literature review, involving the collection and analysis of data from various literary sources such as the Bible, the Qur’an, Hadith, and theological works. The results of the study indicate that although there are differences in emphasis and description, both concepts share the same purpose, which is to emphasize the importance of living a righteous life and obeying God. In Catholicism, Purgatory functions as a mechanism of purification before entering Heaven, while in Islam, Hell serves as a place of punishment and a warning for humanity. Both concepts also reflect divine justice and mercy in addressing human sin.

Abstract

Social interaction is a basic human need as a social being. In Paya Gambar Village, Al Hidayah religious studies are not only a place for religious learning, but also to strengthen social relations and strengthen Islamic brotherhood. Although the majority of the community is Muslim, many still do not have a good understanding of religion, so religious studies play a role as a strategy to increase religious insight. The purpose of this study is to understand how Al-Hidayah religious studies contribute to the development of social interaction in the community and maintain friendships that strengthen relationships between residents. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methodology. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation collection. Data analysis was carried out by means of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher used source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the religious studies facilitate members to get to know each other better, both in aspects of worship and daily life, and deepen religious knowledge. This activity also encourages a sense of togetherness, helps in solving small problems, and provides support when facing difficult economic situations or disasters. Thus, Al-Hidayah religious studies have proven to play an important role as a foundation for strengthening social relations among the residents of Paya Gambar Village, while also functioning as a means of communication and networking in various aspects of social life, religion, and other activities in society.
