Abstract

One of the parts that can be the hallmark of a temple is the carved ornaments. Ornaments in sacred buildings, especially temples, of course contain very deep philosophical values. In general, ornaments at temples, especially Dalem Temple, are related to wayang reliefs, reliefs that tell about the final journey of humans and so on. This is different from the ornaments found in Pura Dalem Segara Madhu. the uniqueness of Pura Dalem Segara Madhu Jagaraga Village can be seen in the reliefs located on the walls of the temple's penyengker. The relief depicts the history of Balinese people against Dutch colonialism. There are also reliefs depicting ships being attacked by sea monsters, people driving cars and so on. The uniqueness of the ornaments owned by Pura Dalem Segara Madhu Jagaraga Village is an interesting thing to study regarding the philosophical values contained therein. In general, this study aims to understand the value of Hindu philosophy in ornaments at Pura Dalem Segara Madhu, Jagaraga Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, literature and documentation. The results of the study regarding this matter are that all the reliefs contained in Pura Dalem Segara Madhu Jagaraga have a connection with one another regarding the struggles of the Jagaraga Village community. This reaffirms that this temple is not only related to the spiritual life of the people, but also related to the history of the people's struggle which is the spirit of social life.

The results of the analysis show that the forms of mythological discrimination received by epilepsy sufferers in the Tri Education Center are restrictions, shunned, ostracized, humiliated, humiliated, and even imprisoned. The causes of the emergence of mythological discrimination of people with epilepsy are due to the low quality of education (formal, informal, non-formal), the low implementation of human values, the degradation of morality, and the low implementation of the teachings of Catur Marga Yoga. Solutions that can be taken to overcome the phenomenon of mythological discrimination of epilepsy sufferers according to Hindu religious teachings include improving the quality of tattwa (philosophical) education, increasing moral quality, integrating human values that are integrated in the concept of Pawongan with tat tvam asi, and the last is realizing the implementation of the teachings of catur marga yoga (bhakti marga yoga, jnana marga yoga, karma marga yoga and raja marga yoga).

Abstract

Indonesia is a pluralistic country with various religious entities and beliefs that live and develop in Indonesia. This plurality has the potential to cause conflict. Conflict can be avoided by the openness of religious institutions towards other religions or beliefs. One of the ways to show this is the openness of a house of worship towards other religions and beliefs. This research aims to dig deeper into the openness of the attitude of the Nam Ha Kwan Se Im Pu Sa Temple towards other religions and beliefs. Data was collected by deep interviews, observation, and documentation. The selection of informants or research subjects was carried out purposively. This temple has a very open attitude towards other religions and beliefs by making altars or pavilions for holy figures of other religions and beliefs. This temple not only honors Buddhist figures but also other figures such as Macopo from Taoism, Spiritual Bells from Confucianism, Our Lady from Catholicism, Lord Ganesha from Hinduism, Eyang Semar from Java, Eyang Prabu Siliwangi from Tatar Sunda, and Nyai Roro Kidul who is trusted by local residents as the sovereign of the South Sea. In addition to erecting altars and pavilions for holy figures of other religions and beliefs, this temple also organizes religious rituals adapted to local culture. Not only during cap go, the Kliwon Friday Night ritual is also carried out by this temple.

Abstract

The Catholic Church has always provided space to fight for justice and gender equality to fulfill God's mission in the world. Women's lives have changed dramatically over the past quarter century. Progress on gender equality remains limited. The still strong patriarchal culture prolongs the suffering of the helpless and complicates the struggle and change toward justice and gender equality. Discrimination against women is a common problem in almost all occupations, even in most parts of the world. It can be understood that gender is a distinction that is neither biological nor divine nature. The purpose of this study is to raise the theme of gender equality which is discussed based on Church documents, namely Gaudium Et Spes art. 9 and art. 29. This research uses a type of library research, which has the aim of tracing and analyzing data or information about the essence of Gaudium Et Spes Article 9 and Article 29 documents concerning Gender Equality. The contribution of Gaudium Et Spes Art. 9 and Art. 29 is that the similarities between men and women are through the institution of goodwill in the sense that both men and women participate in what the church stands for, which is the struggle to shape human life more humanely. The Catholic Church also stressed that this will take a long time, considering that the fight for gender equality is not easy, especially in a world that is heavily influenced by patriarchy. In addition, this research is useful to open horizons regarding gender equality and everyone, both men and women, realize the differences that exist as God's goodwill. Through this document, the Church strives to think about how gender issues are taken seriously to avoid injustices in public life.

Abstract

Social media basically has a big influence on the dimensions of human life, because humans in their various activities cannot be separated from the existence of social media. Social media will have a good impact, if people understand and use it wisely, but it will have a bad impact if they don't use it wisely. This research principally aims to understand how Hindu teachings are to be wise and critical in managing information on social media, bearing in mind that there are two types of knowledge in Hinduism namely Paravidya and Aparavidya. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a critical discourse analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that Paravidya and Aparavidya knowledge is the main basis that must be understood by Hindus in relation to managing information on social media. By having these two knowledges, humans can have a balance between worldly and spiritual life. In addition, the teachings of Paravidya and Aparavidya are used as a basis for analyzing further information in the process of pratyaksa pramana (namely by direct observation using the five senses), anumana pramana understands the phenomena that occur by examining them through the causal process, then upamana pramana namely through doing the process of comparison or comparison, and pramana's words, namely through instructions from people who have authority about this information. By understanding this, Hindus will be wise in controlling the information they obtain on social media.

Abstract

This research focuses on Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot’s Dialogue Views on Interreligious Dialogue in Indonesia. According to Cardinal Ayuso, this research aims to understand the importance of inter-religious dialogue in Indonesia. Dialogue between religious adherents is indeed being warmly encouraged by the Church to build a just and prosperous society. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and critical reading of the text. Based on a critical reading of this research text, it is analyzed and combined with materials related to Cardinal Ayuso’s dialogue views in Das Dikasterium fur den Interreligiosen Dialog, the Church’s teachings on the dialogue between religions, especially those contained in the documents of the Second Vatican Council and documents -Documents after the Second Vatican Council and scientific works related to religious life and authentic fraternity. The findings in this study are that the concept of inter-religious dialogue in Cardinal Ayuso’s perspective is more focused on the “existential attitude” that every human being must have in his life to promote peace in the world. The initial step for inter-religious dialogue must be preceded by theological dialogue. Then the dialogue must be followed up at a practical level in the form of inter-religious cooperation to solve humanitarian and national issues jointly.
