Abstract

The selection of students who excel academically is a measure of the quality of education in an educational institution. In the implementation of education, student achievement becomes a measure of the success of education at the institution. Achievement is the result of hard work by following the rules given by a certain person or institution with certain criteria and conditions to determine if someone is eligible to be chosen as an award recipient. This research uses the Mamdani Fuzzy method or Fuzzy inference system and Sugeno Fuzzy, to design this decision-making system is to design the decision results from the rules compiled using Matlab software for testing. The South Aceh Polytechnic holds outstanding student elections every year, the selection of students with achievements that are carried out every year only focuses on the GPA value in academic achievement without looking at the determining factors which are more precise. In the research that will be conducted the selection must meet the eligibility criteria as a student who gets an award or as an outstanding student at the South Aceh Polytechnic involving variables in the form of Cumulative Achievement Index, Final Project value, Extracurricular, and Attendance. Research is expected to be a tool in the selection process for candidate participants who compete in the selection of outstanding students at the South Aceh Polytechnic so that relevant departments in universities can determine the eligibility of prospective students as award recipients as students with the best achievement scores by considering the appropriate determining factors. The expected output using the Mamdani and Sugeno fuzzy method can become an intellectual property system so that this system can be selected as a guideline by the South Aceh Polytechnic academic for determining outstanding students. The results of the research that have been obtained show that the level of truth is 86.82% for the Mamdani method while the implementation of Sugeno Fuzzy logic is obtained a level of truth of 71.88%

Abstract

As technology advances, the development of equipment used by humans is increasing and most of the equipment produces unwanted sounds that cause noise. To overcome this, an alternative material for soundproofing is needed which is relatively cheap and easily available in the community by using marble powder as a polyurethane mixture in soundproof panels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the sound absorption coefficient value and to determine the relationship between the frequency of the sound source and the sound absorption coefficient of acoustic materials using marble powder mixed with polyurethane in different compositions. The sound absorption test in this study was carried out using a two-microphone impedance tube and has a frequency limit of 125 Hz - 4000 Hz, variations in the mass composition of marble and polyurethane powder 1: 1, 1: 2 and 1: 3 with a thickness of 5 cm, 3cm and 1 cm. Then the test results of the 1: 1 test specimen, the lowest sound absorption coefficient value was obtained 0.10 0.73 cm-1 at a thickness of 1 cm with a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest was 0.73 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm with a frequency of 125 Hz, the test results 1: 2 test specimen, the lowest sound absorption coefficient value is 0.29 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm at a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest is 0.67 cm-1 at a thickness of 5 cm at 250 Hz, then the test results of the test specimen are 1: 3 values The lowest sound absorption coefficient was 0.24 at a thickness of 1 cm at a frequency of 4000 Hz and the highest was 0.71 at a thickness of 5 cm at a frequency of 250 Hz. For the comparison of the sound absorption coefficient values based on the composition and thickness, the lowest and highest sound absorption coefficient values are found in 1: 1 specimens with a thickness of 1 cm and 5 cm with the best sound absorption coefficient values on average at a frequency of 500 Hz, but in material 1:2 and 1:3 obtained the sound absorption coefficient values are in between on the grounds that the thicker the material, the higher the sound absorption coefficient value. Thus it can be concluded that the polyurethane composite material mixed with marble powder can be used as a sound absorbing panel material, especially in a 1: 1 composition

Abstract

In general, aggregates consist of Natural Aggregates (NA) and Artificial Aggregates (AA). Artificial aggregates, such as Crushed Stone (CS), are aggregates produced through the crusher industry which has a rough and angular surface so that it has excellent adhesion to asphalt. Meanwhile, NA is an aggregate produced from a river which has a smooth and large hollow surface texture. The cost for AA is very expensive when compared to NA, so it is necessary to experiment with mixing NA and AA to minimize the use of AA. NA are obtained from Sungai Jalin, Jantho City District, Aceh Besar District. The method used refers to the specification of Bina Marga 2010 Revision four (2018) and the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the combination of NA and AA as a substitute for coarse aggregate on the AC-WC concrete asphalt layer. The specimens used were 66 specimens with substitution of NA and AA into the asphalt layer were 0% NA: 100% AA, 25% NA: 75% AA, 50% NA: 50% AA, 75% NA: 25% AA, 100% NA : 0% AA. Based on the research results, the best value for the optimum marshall parameter is the substitution of 25% AA: 75% BP at asphalt content of 5.00%, the stability value is 1492.37kg with a VIM value of 3.69%, VMA 16.17%, VFA 77.88% and MQ 573.87kg / mm which have met the requirements of the 2010 Revision four (2018) Bina Marga specification.

Abstract

The G-3503 centrifugal pump functions to flow Diethanolamine fluid with a viscosity of 380 Cp which functions to reduce H2S and CO2 levels in natural gas. When operating, the pump shaft experiences a torque load which causes the shaft to be twisted by 80. From the exact and finite element analysis results, the shear stress that occurs on the shaft is greater than the shear stress of the shaft material. Thus, the shaft is deformed plastically. The shear stress that occurs is 164 MPa
