The construction sector plays a significant role in the Indonesian economy. The construction sector has an influence on the economy through the inputs used or generated, absorption of the materials and labor used, as well as producing and distributing the output produced in economic activities. Its contribution and growth each year shows a particularly good value in the central part of Java. This study aims to create a regional typology in Central Java based on its construction sector. The methods used are Location Quotients, shift and share and Klassen Typology. In 2018 most of the districts/cities had a typology of fast developing regions, progressive GRDP growth in the construction sector and baseless absorption of labor. In 2019, central part of Java had a typology of fast-growing and relatively lagging regions, progressive GDP growth of construction sector and baseless absorption of labor. Overall, the GRDP growth in the construction sector in the central part of Java has a positive impact on the economic development of districts / cities in the central part of Java, but this is not followed by absorption of labor in the construction sector.

Land-use change affects the hydrological cycle of any watershed, as occurred in the upper Beringin Watershed in Mijen District and Ngaliyan District, Semarang. These areas have experienced land use change with an increasing population density, facilities, and infrastructure. Consequently, many vacant and open lands have turned to built-up areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of significance of the land-use change effect on water infiltration.  The data used are satellite images and rainfall that occurred in 2010, 2014 and 2018. The study applies quantitative spatial analysis methods to measure land-use change and hydrological analysis to measure the level of infiltration thickness. The results are analyzed by using SPSS software to determine the level of significance of its influence. The results show that the land-use change has occurred in a linear path. Settlement areas have increased by 2.07% while the plantation areas decreased by 2.24%. An increase in industrial areas by 1.82% contradicts to a decrease in paddy fields by 1.45%. Also, an increase in open spaces by 4.09% corresponds to the decline in the grassland areas by 4.30%.The infiltration thickness shows that the CN value had increased from 83.33 in 2010 to 85.57 in 2018. The land-use change in the upper Beringin Watershed has no significant effect on the infiltration thickness with a value of R² = 65.9%

Online transportation has become popular among the public because of its different character than public transportation that was previously available. Therefore, the question in this study is how the influence of land use patterns on the existence of online transportation in the Education Area of Diponegoro University ?. The expected results are in the form of information regarding the effect of land use on online transportation so as to be able to issue policy recommendations related to online transportation. The analysis was carried out by overlaying the pattern of use of the exiting land with the movement pattern of the motorcycle taxi service. The data used in the analysis is divided into two based on time, namely at weekends and weekdays. Based on observation, it was found that 759 movements and the results of overlays carried out with existing land use patterns showed that the highest pattern of demand occurred in residential and boarding areas, educational areas, and commercial areas. This explains that these areas have a large influence on the movement of online transportation facilities.Â

Urbanization and global warming are two phenomena that affect urban development. Urbanization increases population concentration and causes complex human activities in urban environments. Meanwhile, the global warming phenomenon causes cities to experience various disasters that threaten the sustainability of human life. The discourse on urban development needs to anticipate these two phenomena. This research aims to determine the form of population distribution in cities as a model for balanced city development through social, economic, and environmental approaches. Â The research method is qualitative, with an instrumental case study approach. The city of Surabaya is an instrument in understanding and formulating an explanation of a balanced city. Literature and document searches are used to collect data and information. The results showed that the social approach of the balanced city has a non-spatial population distribution (functional distribution) pattern which is marked by the functioning of each system in the city and the high level of community participation in creating a balanced city. The economic approach of balanced city has a population distribution pattern that is not determined by the uniformity of population numbers at each city point but emphasizes the aspects of economic benefits that are distributed evenly. The spatial distribution of the population still follows the potential of each region in the city. The environment approach of the balanced city shows the spatial distribution pattern of the population, which refers to the Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) of a city as a model for balanced city development. A balanced city is a city that through the development of urbanization has grown as a resilient and sustainable city.

Brayut is the only tourism village in Sleman Regency which has a traditional settlement that is still maintained. The existence of traditional houses as a tourist attraction in the Brayut Tourism Village plays a role in shaping the pattern of settlements in the present. This study intends to identify sustainable patterns of inheritance of traditional Javanese houses in the Brayut Tourism Village. The case study research method is the saturated sample (census) technique of 24 traditional Javanese homeowner households. The pattern of inheritance of traditional Javanese houses in the Brayut Tourism Village refers to the existence of institutions (customs, government regulations) and assets (human, natural, physical, social, financial). These aspects are flexible and not absolute so that they can adjust the livelihood conditions in each household. There are 5 patterns of home inheritance namely patrilineal, adaptation, major, patrilineal collective, and not yet inherited. The principle of preservation of the house as an ancestral heritage is still maintained, especially after the existence of a tourist village and government attention to several houses by establishing it as a cultural heritage building that gets expert assistance and maintenance funds.

As one of the tsunami disaster mitigation efforts, the Padang City Government has made a tsunami evacuation map in 2010. However, information regarding the tsunami hazard zone on the map has not been updated to date. Planning for mitigation activities focuses on the coastal areas on the north to the urban centers of the city of Padang. Hills and rice fields on the coast make access to the movement of evacuation communities in the southern region of the city of Padang to be limited. Based on this background, this study aims to conduct topographic analysis in determining potential tsunami evacuation routes in the southern region of Padang City using quantitative methods through the GIS approach. The analysis carried out was community preparedness analysis, tsunami flooding zone modeling, analysis of the level of danger, vulnerability, and tsunami risk. In the end, based on the results of the analysis carried out the determination of potential shelter locations and potential evacuation routes as a form of direction and recommendations regarding tsunami disaster mitigation activities in Padang City. 53 locations of potential evacuation shelter were proposed with details of 18 locations in Bungus Bay, Kabung District, 9 locations in Lubuk Begalung District, and 26 locations in Padang Selatan District. To support the 53 potential locations of the shelter, a potential evacuation route is planned for 52 evacuation routes using the existing road network and 21 proposed evacuation routes to the nearest hills.

The Spatial Planning Law of the Republic of Indonesia requires cities to provide a minimum of 30% land for green open space (RTH). In the midst of meeting this target, the commercial use of public green open space is growing. The situation can potentially reduce the effective area used for the public and affect the quantity of space, as well as the quality of citizen interaction with green open space. This study aims to identify the type and level of public green open space commercialization in Banda Aceh, identify research themes related to green open space commercialization, and formulate a priority list for further study taking into account the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted through focus group discussions, field observations, interviews and opinion polls. Preliminary research results in Banda Aceh indicate that commercial activities have the potential to transform public green open space into quasi-public. The presence of multi actors in the management of commercial activities in RTH can be a synergy, but it can also be a contest. The impact of the decrease in visits and the intensity of commercial activities occurred in the early days of the pandemic, but has increased again so that special handling is needed. The focus of research related to the use of green open space as an alternative space for interaction, especially during the pandemic, needs to be formulated with an interdisciplinary approach. The identified priority research agendas are those of applied research characteristics, namely the complete mapping of green open space that is affected by commercial activities and the application of micro zoning to control space use in green open space, including to mitigate the potential spread of the covid-19 outbreak.
