Abstract

Various prevention and adaptations have been carried out to prevent the recent global pandemic of COVID-19, one of which is encouraging people to do activities at homes to reduce the level of transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Worker and students adapted to working from home (WFH) and learning from home (LFH) which resonates globally with the hashtag stayhome. This policy is quite effective if we assume that all residential areas have ideal conditions to accommodate the health functions and productivity of their residents. In fact, housing and settlement areas in Indonesia have various characteristics and responses to pandemic situations. This article aims to map the adaptation efforts of housing and settlement areas in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic based on several observational variables. Data was taken in May 2020, the 3rd month after the appeal to stay home was socialized in Indonesia, through 110 respondents who were undergoing WFH and LFH, spread across almost all parts of Indonesia. The data is processed through descriptive statistical analysis and the results show that the assumption that all residential areas are in a state that is ready to become the frontline of defense during the pandemic has not been as expected, especially from observations of houses and their surroundings as a function of isolation, the effectiveness of implementing rules and policies, and limitation of activities in order to increase settlement resilience.

Abstract

The Karuhan Urang Indigenous Community (AKUR) Cigugur, West Java, is one of the traditional communities that still adheres to the Sunda Wiwitan belief. This community lives side by side with mutual respect for the views of other religions. At the Seren taun ceremony, people from various religions attended and prayed together in Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal. The preservation of Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal is an effort to continue the tradition of the community's ancestors, Prince Sadewa Madrais Alibasa. Ancestral teachings embedded in society are manifested in the form of strong tolerance and a sense of universal brotherhood in the Cigugur Indigenous Community. The study uses a structuralism approach to uncover the structure of settlements consisting of aspects of the form and function of the settlement elements. With syntagmatic analysis, research seeks to look for relations between elements of settlements and reveal the meaning of elements of the settlement system. Cultural identity of the people who uphold the values of humanity and nationality can be a cultural capital for the Cigugur Village development process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine public space services in meeting the needs and activities of the community in their spare time. Synergy and creativity are two factors to measure how the public space functions and functions properly. A good public space has an index of synergy and creativity that can be used collectively and is interesting for its visitors to interact with. The synergy of public spaces is manifested in how compatible spaces are mutually compatible in serving the activities of its users. Creativity is how existing facilities have an attractive form so that visitors can use them together. The method used in this study is to spread questions to visitors who visit heritage areas in the old city area in Jakarta. Descriptive description is used in research to determine the togetherness aspect of the community using public space in carrying out the needs and activities of visitors. The results of this study found that most visitors like to do activities together, share space with other visitors, especially if there are events such as music, culture or carnivals, but most are still embarrassed to initiate the initiative to invite other visitors, besides that in Kota Tua the visitors also sometimes want a little privacy, so additional furniture such as seating and shade is needed.

Abstract

Bojonegoro Regency is one of the areas traversed by the Bengawan Solo River and is at risk of flooding annually. Utilization of the land around the watershed becomes a special supervision in reducing the risk of this disaster. The purpose of this study is to determine the delineation of the area which is the locus of observation, so that the direction of spatial planning for riparian zone can be determined in the Bojonegoro and Kapas District, Bojonegoro districts. The method used in this study is to use qualitative analysis by analyzing typology or grouping, and comparisons between data and regulations / policies. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, namely the identification of river formations, analysis of the typology of characteristics around the river to the determination of the riparian zone, a conclusion is obtained in the form of recommendations for spatial planning directions that need to be carried out in the riparian zone. The results obtained from this study are that Bojonegoro District is a flood-prone sub-district dominated by a moderate flood hazard area so that each cultivation activity has a conditional license, while Kapas District is a sub-district that does not have the potential for flooding because all river segments are in a flood-prone area. Low so that all cultivation activities in the Kapas District are permitted. With this study, it is hoped that it can help and become an input for the Bojonegoro Regency government in planning spatial planning, especially in the riparian zone in Bojonegoro and Kapas Districts.
