Abstract

This research examines the factors influencing the intention to use digital payment applications (cashless payments) among students in West Papua. Using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, this research analyzes the influence of self-efficacy, perceived risk, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, brand loyalty, and user attitudes on intentions to use cashless payment applications, as well as mediation potential user attitudes towards the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. This research uses a questionnaire to apply a quantitative study of 342 West Papuan students. The analysis includes validity, reliability, and structural models. The research results show that self-efficacy and perceived risk do not significantly affect intention to use. In contrast, perceived usefulness, ease of use, brand loyalty, and user attitude have a significant effect. Besides that, user attitude can mediate the influence of perceived usefulness and ease of use on intention to use.

Abstract

Complex and extensive communication within an organization will create a pattern of communication that becomes the flow of information being channel. This pattern of communication will make it easier for students to determine appropriate and correct actions and directions. The purpose of this study is to examine how the Green School Bali's pattern of organizational communication is implemented to students of the PKL and MBKM internship programs using Goldhaber's (1986) theory of organizational communication, which describes seven key concepts: process, message, network, interdependence, relationship, environment, and uncertainty. The research method used was a qualitative one involving observations and in-depth interviews with informants, who in this study were supervisors of each department, heads of internships, and student interns for the July-December 2022 period. The results of this study indicate that Green School Bali uses the wheel organizational communication pattern in its implementation for apprentice students in the PKL and MBKM programs.

Abstract

Makmur Mandiri Cooperative is an economic entity that plays a crucial role in empowering the community through financial services and business development. In the dynamic context of business environment changes, cooperatives need to adopt the right strategies to strengthen their position in the market and achieve sustainable growth. One of the approaches used is the SWOT analysis, which enables cooperatives to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect their performance and business development strategies. This journal aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of internal and external factors influencing Makmur Mandiri Cooperative and to formulate effective business development strategies. Through secondary data collection, observations, and interviews with relevant parties, this journal presents a comprehensive SWOT analysis, identifying strengths such as good reputation and loyal membership, weaknesses such as limited financial resources, opportunities such as market growth and new technologies, and threats such as intense competition and regulatory changes. The results of this SWOT analysis are then used as a basis for formulating effective action plans in the business development of Makmur Mandiri Cooperative. Proposed strategies include product diversification, effective marketing, utilization of information technology, and strategic partnerships.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the complexities of financial management and their impact on the survival of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) in Semarang district, with special emphasis on Wahana Parfum Shop in Karangjati. Although UMKM continues to flourish in Semarang district, many are facing obstacles in managing their finances effectively, as only a small fraction are active and skilled to manage their financial affairs. Conversations with business owners have found that the main challenge lies in their lack of understanding of the benefits of financial statements and incomplete financial controls. Besides, perfume entrepreneurs show a lack of confidence when comparing financial plans to real life circumstances. It underscores the need to overcome gaps in financial literacy and financial management to improve the performance and resilience of SMEs in the region. Recommendations include offering training and education to enhance understanding of financial management, maximize the use of business control, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the principles of finance management.

Abstract

This study intends to look at how the D'Senopati Malioboro Grand Hotel Yogyakarta's amenities and level of service affect visitors' happiness. Using a sample of 92 respondents, multiple linear regression analysis was used in the research methodology. Guest satisfaction is positively and significantly impacted by the quality of the facilities and services, according to the analysis's findings. It's interesting to note that the degree of client pleasure is more influenced by service quality than by facilities. This discovery could lead to talks about investments and resource allocation in the hotel sector, with a focus on raising service quality. The investigation also emphasizes the significance of favorable reactions to facilities and the difficulties associated with correct information provided by staff members. The research's practical implications offer a strong basis for hotel management to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at maximizing visitor satisfaction through improved amenities and service standards.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction at Berkah Mandiri Sejahtera Cooperative in Tanjungsari. This research is important based on the low level of employee job satisfaction, which impacts their performance and productivity, as indicated by the data on salary reductions and increased employee turnover over the past three years. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative design to explore the relationship between the independent variable (compensation) and the dependent variable (job satisfaction). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all cooperative employees, with 35 respondents. The results showed that compensation had a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The statistical test results indicated a coefficient of determination (R-Square) value of 77.6%, meaning that the compensation variable explains 77.6% of the variation in employee job satisfaction. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000, less than 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha, indicating a significant effect between compensation and job satisfaction. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening empirical evidence that proper compensation, aligned with employees' needs, can enhance their job satisfaction, which in turn can improve company performance and productivity. This research is expected to serve as a reference for companies in formulating effective compensation policies to enhance employee satisfaction and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the furniture industry regarding enhancing business competitiveness in the digital era (a case study of SMEs in South Tangerang City). This research employs a qualitative method to gain in-depth understanding through data collection techniques including observation, documentation, and interviews, using a semi-structured interview format based on a predetermined interview guide with several informants from the furniture industry SMEs in South Tangerang City. The analysis of the interviews revealed that the strategies employed to improve competitiveness in the digital era focus on maintaining product quality, utilizing social media and e-commerce, and building good relationships with customers. Although some business actors have started using digital platforms, many still rely on traditional methods. Challenges such as price competition and the impact of political situations are also faced, but these are addressed through innovation, product differentiation, and strategic adaptation. While there have been efforts to leverage digital opportunities, there remains room for further development in the use of technology and more effective online marketing strategies.
