Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping mental health awareness and literacy among secondary school students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicate that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning contributes significantly to students' psychological well-being through four main mechanisms: internalization of spiritual values, strengthening the meaning of life, cultivating worship as a psychological therapy, and establishing a supportive religious environment. Values such as patience, gratitude, and trust in God help students manage emotions and stress, while regular worship practices promote inner peace. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers also act as spiritual counselors, fostering a sense of security and empathy in the learning environment. In conclusion, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play a crucial role in shaping students' mental health awareness and literacy.   Keywords: Spiritual Awareness, Mental Health, Psychological Well-Being, Islamic Religious Education, Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Missouri Mathematics Project model, supported by Microsoft Math Solver, for students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The study used the ADIIE model, with a sample of 30 students from grade X-3 at Bina Bersaudra School. The results showed that the classical learning outcomes achieved in the final trial were 76.6%, categorized as high, meeting the classical learning outcomes desired by the researcher. The final trial student response questionnaire score was 86.3%. The validator declared the MMP learning model and the developed learning instruments feasible based on all validity aspects, categorized as valid. The conclusion is that student responses are very effective for mathematical critical thinking skills. Practicality in mathematics learning, with an average score of 96.6%, categorized as very practical in the mathematics learning process.   Keywords: Mathematical Critical Thinking, Microsoft Math Solver, Missouri Mathematics Project Model

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of teaching module development based on the deep learning approach by teachers at Public Elementary School 124 Palembang, focusing on the alignment of instructional components, integration of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), and utilization of technology. This descriptive qualitative study involved 26 teachers as subjects, with data collected through documentation studies, interviews, and observations analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results revealed a gap between teachers' conceptual understanding and module development practices. Specifically, only 50% of the module samples demonstrated precise alignment between objectives, indicators, and assessments. Approximately 40% of learning activities were still dominated by lower-order cognitive skills, while HOTS integration and student reflection activities had not been systematically implemented. Furthermore, the use of digital media remained limited to basic platforms, with little interactivity. In conclusion, despite teachers' adaptive commitment, intensive mentoring in instructional planning and strengthening of TPACK competencies are needed to produce teaching modules that effectively facilitate students' critical and reflective thinking skills in accordance with national curriculum standards.   Keywords: Deep Learning, HOTS, Teacher Competence, Independent Curriculum, Teaching Modules

Abstract

This study aims to improve basic manipulative motor skills through the implementation of a ball game with a tail in children with intellectual disabilities at the PGRI Pamekasan Special Needs School (SLB). The study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study subjects included three ninth-grade students with moderate intellectual disabilities in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation, performance tests, and documentation, while data analysis used a descriptive qualitative approach with a calculation of the percentage of skill improvement. The results showed that the implementation of the ball game with a tail significantly improved students' throwing and catching abilities. The average manipulative skill score increased from 50% in the pre-cycle to 87.5% in the second cycle, with an average increase of 33.7%. Furthermore, there was an increase in students' motivation, courage, and active participation during the learning process. Thus, the ball game with a tail can be an effective alternative adaptive physical education method to improve basic motor skills in children with intellectual disabilities.   Keywords: Intellectual Disabilities, Basic Manipulative Movement, Tailed Ball Game, Adaptive Physical Education

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based instructional media using a scientific learning approach on regulation material for eleventh-grade students that is valid, practical, and effective for use in the learning process. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed website-based instructional media includes regulation materials, learning activities based on the scientific approach (observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating), interactive practice exercises, and links to instructional videos to support students’ understanding. The feasibility of the media was evaluated through validation by subject-matter experts and media experts, as well as limited trials with eleventh-grade students. The validation results indicate that the website-based instructional media is categorized as highly feasible for use in learning. Students’ responses show that the website-based instructional media is easy to use, engaging, and helps improve students’ understanding of regulation material. Therefore, the website-based instructional media using a scientific learning approach can serve as an innovative and effective alternative learning medium to support the learning process.   Keywords: ADDIE, Webssite-Based Learning Media, Scientific Approach, Regulation, Research and Development (R&D)

Abstract

This study aims to improve the science and social studies (IPAS) learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary students through the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 18 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 32 Lubuklinggau. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average pretest score was 52.2 with 28% mastery, which increased to 66.7 with 67% mastery in the posttest. In Cycle II, the average pretest score was 66.1 with 39% mastery, and increased to 80.6 with 89% mastery in the posttest. Thus, the Think Pair Share learning model is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS.   Keywords: Think Pair Share, Learning Outcomes, IPAS, Cooperative Learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in mathematical analysis abilities of students learning through Discovery Learning, simulation, and conventional methods in mathematics learning for grade 10 at SMA Negeri 7, Bengkulu City. The research method used was quasi-experimental. Based on the results of SPSS calculations, it can be concluded that there is an analytical effect of using the Discovery Learning model on students' abilities in mathematics learning for grade 10 at SMA Negeri 7, Bengkulu City. This is evidenced by the calculated t value = 2.921 with a significance value of 0.004 <0.05 and a significance level of 5% for a two-tailed test and df = n - 2 - 1 = 65. The t table obtained is 1.98. Therefore, it can be concluded that t = 2.921 > t = 1.98, which means that there is a significant partial effect of the Discovery Learning model on students' analytical abilities at SMA Negeri 7, Bengkulu City. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning model (X1) and the simulation method (X2) have an effect on students' analytical abilities (Y).   Keywords: Analysis, Discovery Learning, Simulation,
