Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran tentang kosakata dan tatabahasa yang digunakan dalam berita online tirto. Diantaranya klasifikasi kosakata, membatasi pandangan, kosakata yang mengandung pertarungan wacana, dan kosakata yang membawa ideologi tertentu. Tata bahasa yang digunakan model transitif dan intransitif. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan  data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, baca dan catat berupa kata-kata, frasa, klausa, maupun kalimat yang mengandung ideologi, kosakata pemarjinalan, klasifikasi kosakata, dan kosakata membatasi pandangan. Dalam wacana berita online "Prabowo Umumkan Kenaikan Gaji Guru ASN, PPPK dan Non-ASN”. Hasil penelitian menemukan terdapat lima kosakata yang mengandung klasifikasi, empat frasa yang membatasi pandangan, dua frasa yang termasuk pertarungan wacana, tiga frasa yang mengandung ideologi tertentu.

Abstract

The repetitive adverbs “Zai” and “You” in Mandarin have the same meaning when translated into Indonesian, namely “Lagi”. Because language is universal and unique, this study was conducted with the aim of explaining the similarities and differences in the use and structure of the repetitive adverbs “Zai” and “You” in Mandarin with the word “Lagi” in Indonesian. This study was designed with a qualitative descriptive research design. The data collection technique used documentation techniques and the data sources were sentences that used the words “Zai” and “You” in Mandarin with the word “Lagi” in Indonesian. The theories used in this study are the theory of universality of language and uniqueness of language as well as contrastive analysis to examine the similarities and differences of the three words based on the definition, position or use of the words. The results of the study showed that there were 4 similarities, consisting of 1 similarity in definition, 3 similarities in terms of usage, and 7 differences, consisting of 2 differences in terms of structure and 5 differences in terms of usage in the repetitive adverbs "Zai" and "You" in Mandarin with the repetitive adverb "Lagi" in Indonesian.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the fulfillment of Abraham Maslow's hierarchical needs in the family dynamics shown in the film "Family Cemara". This research aims to identify how the characters in the film fulfill Maslow's five levels of needs, namely physiological needs, security, affection, self-esteem and self-actualization. The method used is a qualitative approach with narrative analysis of interactions between family members. The research results show that this film depicts the importance of emotional and social support in meeting basic needs and how relationships between family members contribute to well-being and harmony. In the context of the film, it can be seen that despite facing various challenges and difficulties, the Cemara family is still able to maintain solidarity and support each other. These findings provide insight into the relevance of Maslow's theory in the context of family life and highlight the important role of communication and solidarity in building healthy family dynamics. Apart from that, this article also discusses the implications of fulfilling these needs for individual and collective development in the family, as well as how values transmitted through daily interactions can shape the character and identity of family members. Thus, this research not only enriches filmography studies but also contributes to the understanding of family psychology in the context of Indonesian culture

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan pola reduplikasi dalam Bahasa Melayu Makassar dan Bahasa Indonesia dengan pendekatan linguistik kontrastif. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode simak, teknik sadap, dan teknik catat, yang datanya diperoleh dari kamus kedua bahasa. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode padan intralingual dengan teknik hubung banding untuk mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan pola reduplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat pola reduplikasi yang dianalisis, yakni reduplikasi utuh, reduplikasi berimbuhan, reduplikasi sebagian, dan reduplikasi berubah bunyi. Reduplikasi utuh pada kedua bahasa menunjukkan kemiripan fungsi, seperti menyatakan makna jamak, intensitas, atau keberulangan, dengan kategori kata yang tetap. Reduplikasi berimbuhan juga terdapat pada kedua bahasa, namun Bahasa Indonesia menunjukkan variasi afiks yang lebih kompleks serta fleksibilitas dalam perubahan kelas kata, sedangkan Bahasa Melayu Makassar cenderung mempertahankan verba sebagai kelas kata. Reduplikasi sebagian dan reduplikasi berubah bunyi hanya ditemukan dalam Bahasa Indonesia, umumnya melibatkan perubahan fonem tanpa mengubah kategori kata. Bahasa Melayu Makassar tidak menunjukkan bentuk reduplikasi dalam dua pola terakhir tersebut. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun kedua bahasa berasal dari rumpun Austronesia dan memiliki pola yang sejajar dalam beberapa bentuk reduplikasi, Bahasa Indonesia lebih kompleks dan fleksibel dalam penggunaan reduplikasi, baik dari sisi bentuk maupun struktur morfologisnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyses the application of basic character values to grade 6 students at SDN No. 101112 Sipange. The character principles that are the focus of the study include honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and respect for others. This study applies a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study indicate that basic character values have been applied through various learning activities, although there are some challenges in the consistency and internalization of these values. Further efforts are needed to improve the effectiveness of the application of character values through collaboration between teachers

Abstract

The study of syntax and semantics has direct relevance to the Madurese language so that a complete classification of both form and meaning can be carried out. Thus, this research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to describe the distribution and meaning of the use of the bi' conjunction. The method used in providing data is the Simak method with basic tapping techniques and the advanced Simak, Bebas, Libat, Catat (SBLC) technique. Data obtained from the Bilingual Story Textbook (Madura-Indonesia). Researchers use syntactic and semantic theoretical approaches to analyze bi' conjunction data. Data analysis uses a collection method with Bagi Unsur Langsung (BUL) techniques with forwarding, replacement and loss techniques. The research results show that the characteristics of the bi' conjunction in Bilingual Children's story texts have a fixed position, have two or more conjunctions, and can be tied to conjunctions such as words, phrases and clauses. The meaning of the conjunction bi' also has a combination of pure, evaluative, implicative, paraphrastic and sequential meanings. Thus, this research still has the potential to be studied in more depth regarding the overall meaning of conjunctions with different objects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai analisis makna konotatif pada puisi yang berjudul “Sebuah Jaket Berlumur Darah” karya Taufiq Ismail dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yakni peneliti membaca puisi dan memahami makna konotatif yang terkandung dalam kata larik pada setiap bait puisi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pengarang menciptakan puisi ini dengan makna konotatif yang diadaptasi dengan kata-kata yang mengandung makna penindasan dan perlawanan dimana puisi ini memberikan nilai rasa perjuangan yang disesuaikan kondisi pada saat puisi ini tercipta.

Abstract

This study analyzes how artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied in educational settings, with a specific focus on career preparation via English-language job interview preparation. The study looks at how well AI-based programs, especially the Huru AI Interview Prep App, simulate job interviews in light of the importance of professional readiness in higher education. Data were gathered using a mixed-methods approach by distributing questionnaires with 15 statements to 31 respondents. In response to the results, 58% of students said that using AI tools, such as the Huru AI Interview Prep App, improved their ability to answer English-language job interview questions, which had a beneficial effect on their career preparation. Furthermore, four students participated in qualitative interviews using seven questions, which supported the quantitative findings and showed that AI-assisted job interview training greatly enhances students' English language skills and general preparedness for the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of discourse on the news entitled "Tangis Goenawan Mohamad di MK: Seharusnya DPR Dibubarkan" published by Tempo.co. The critical discourse analysis approach of the Sara Mills model is used to reveal the position of subjects and objects in the text and how the reader is directed to interpret the discourse. This research shows that Tempo.co build a narrative that strengthens Goenawan Mohamad's position as an empowered subject by voicing strong criticism of the DPR. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is placed as an object of criticism whose legitimacy and performance are questioned. The results of this study provide insight into how the media shapes public opinion through narrative structure and representation choices.

Abstract

Linguistic landscape refers to the visibility of languages in public spaces through written signs that reflect both communication and identity. This study examines the linguistic landscape and cultural identity of Sanjai shop signs in Bukittinggi and its surrounding areas, including Agam Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through direct observation, documentation using photographs, and interviews with shop owners. The study focuses on the languages and symbols appearing on the shop signs and their meanings. The results show that Sanjai shop signs feature monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual expressions. The monolingual signs use Minangnese, Indonesian, or Bataknese, while the bilingual signs combine Minangnese and Indonesian. Bilingual signs serve to convey both local identity and product appeal to a wider audience. The use of Bataknese in border areas illustrates language adaptation along major trade routes like the Trans-Sumatra Highway. Non-linguistic signs such as Rumah Gadang motifs, Jam Gadang images, Sianok Canyon pictures, and Marawa colors strengthen the cultural identity of Minangkabau. The study concludes that Sanjai shop signs are not only commercial tools but also media for preserving and promoting Minangkabau cultural identity through both linguistic and visual elements.
