Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the use of the Self Directed LearningModel on the ability to write anecdotal texts of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 LubukPakam.Thetypeofresearchusedisquantitativeresearchwithatwogrouppretest-posttestdesign. The population in this study were 68 class X students of SMK Negeri 1 LubukPakam. The instrument in this study the researcher used a test. Based on the results of thestudy, the ability to write anecdotal texts before using the Self Directed Learning learningmodelobtainedanaverageof55andastandard deviationof12.90994withadistributionof pre-test data tendencies included in the poor category. The ability to write anecdotaltexts after using the Self Directed Learning learning model averaged 83.1 and a standarddeviation of 7.021396 with a distribution of post-test data tendencies included in the verygoodcategory.Basedontheresultsofthehypothesistesting,tcountttable(10.8282.03452)wasobtained.ThismeansthatHoisrejectedandHaisaccepted,whichmeansthatthereisaninfluenceoftheSelfDirectedLearninglearningmodelontheabilitytowriteanecdotaltextsinclassXstudentsofSMKNegeri1LubukPakam.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on Project-Based Learning (PBL) for Indonesian language subjects, aiming to ensure that it is valid, effective, and practical in enhancing student learning outcomes. The study employs a Research and Development (RD) approach utilizing the 4-D model, which includes four stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The E-LKPD developed was subjected to validity, effectiveness, and practicality tests. The findings indicated that the E-LKPD on biodiversity materials achieved a validity score of 3.28 from a team of subject matter experts and design validators. Additionally, feedback from students and teachers showed that the practicality of the teaching materials was rated positively with an average score of 3,5. When assessing learning outcomes through the use of the E-LKPD based on PBL, students scored an average of 80.86, categorizing their performance as very high with a mastery percentage of 93%. Consequently, the E-LKPD based on PBL is deemed appropriate for use as it meets the criteria for validity, effectiveness, and practicality. The implications of this development suggest that the PBL-based E-LKPD can enhance the development model utilized to produce higher quality educational products that assist in the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Active Debate terhadap Kemampuan Berdebat Siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Panyabungan”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, variabel X 20 soal dan essay variabel Y sebanyak 1 soal. Penelitian diadakan di SMK Negeri 3 Panyabungan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Hasil penggunaan model pembelajaran active debate yaitu 83,75 sehingga tingkat rata-rata siswa berada pada kategori “ Sangat Baik”. Variabel Y tentang kemampuan berdebat siswa diperoleh 79,75 sehingga tingkat rata-rata siswa berada pada kategori “Baik”. Sedangkan hasil analisis data berdasarkan pengujian persyaratan analisis, yang sudah ditentukan dalam penelitian maka dilakukan analisis dengan teknik kolerasi product moment.Perbandingan nilairxy dan rtabel yakni (0,689 0,404). Maka hipotesis alternatif (Ha) menyatakan adanya pengaruh terhadap Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Active Debate terhadap Kemampuan Debat Siswa Kelas X  SMK Negeri 1 Panyabungan.

Abstract

This thesis is to show and to describe the similarity and difference of the meaning “Tangan” and “ ” between Mandarin and Indonesian language sentences. Using qualitative descriptive research method to describe and analysis the word between Mandarin and Indonesian languages. While research, using documentation technical to collect data in Mandarin and Indonesian both language. Primary data outcome from both language idiom dictionary and books contain those words. While obtaining and summerizing data that is quoted and written from the data in Indonesian and Mandarin, there are 8 types of pragmatic similar meanings in indonesian word “Tangan” and mandarin “ ? ”in two languages, such as brother sisters or family; doing things/job/to shop; to recieve or get; available or expertise in/good in; have a power to do. There are five meanings in indonesian but not available in mandarin, such as to describe me mysel; to take; income; to obey; to influence. There are 5 meanings also in Mandarin but not available in Indonesian, such as to describe easiness, to attack, chance, body and authority.

Abstract

Grammar is a core subject of writing skill in learning English language. Mastering grammar needs a lot of ways, technique or methods therefore, to all of English lectures or teachers should be able to teach it in easy and nice technique. Whereas, a researchers found in their classroom teaching there were more than 50% students are lack of grammar’s understanding in the English sentences. Although some of them understand about tenses in explanation, but most of them could not able to analyse when it was completed in the sentence. This research is focus on the understanding of grammar by analyzing the English sentences (simple sentence and compound sentence). The method used is classroom action research and the purpose of the research is to enrich the students’ understanding about grammar through the sentence analysis. The result of the research shows the improvement of students towards grammar. The pre-test result was 55 % students are lack of grammar understanding however after doing ten meetings for understanding grammar by analysing the sentences, the students’ improvement was raised to 85%. Teaching grammar is a challenging for the researchers themselves because there are so many students are not interested in learning it. Finally in the end of semester they were change their mind about grammar. Essentially, analyzing sentences is so attractive to do and able to improve their ability about grammar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the transformation of lexicon and worldview surrounding traditional cooking utensils used for food preparation by the communities of Lease Island, Central Maluku Regency. The data consists of lexicons related to traditional cooking tools that have undergone transformation in the Lease Island communities—specifically in the villages of Tuhaha, Ihamahu, and Ouw—collected through interviews, observation, and literature review. The findings reveal a shift in the lexicon of traditional cooking utensils from Ambonese Malay to Indonesian and foreign languages. The study classifies the lexicon of traditional cooking utensils into two word classes: nouns and verbs, grouped as follows: (1) Traditional earthenware cooking utensils in Ouw Village – 51 lexicons (2) Traditional cooking utensils for sago and palm sugar-based dishes in Tuhaha Village – 33 lexicons (3) Traditional cooking utensils for Bagea, Sarut, and Sarut dishes in Ihamahu Village – 10 lexicons (4) Household utensils – 29 lexicons Conservation efforts for the traditional cooking lexicon of the Lease community in the G.Z. era include: (1) Documenting traditional cooking utensils through images, replicas, and promotion via social media (2) Reintroducing and encouraging the use of these lexicons in daily speech while maintaining awareness of their Indonesian equivalents

Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate the impact of the pre-question technique on students' reading comprehension achievement at SMA N 1 Pegajahan. This research used a quasi-experimental design involving two classes: control class X-2 and experimental class X-4, each consisting of 36 students. The control class was taught using conventional methods, while the experimental class was given pre-question techniques during reading learning. The results showed that there were significant differences in post-test scores between the two groups. The average value of the control class is (77.22) while the standard deviation is (16.01). Meanwhile, the experimental class has an average value (95.57) with a standard deviation (7.71). The t-test analysis shows that the calculated t-value exceeds the t-table (6.6526) critical value for degrees of freedom (70) at the significance level (0.05) which confirms that the pre-question technique has a statistically significant positive effect on students' reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

The Green Princess" is a Deli Malay folktale containing local wisdom that needs to be preserved and introduced to BIPA learners. Efforts to preserve culture can be conveyed by preparing materials for BIPA learners, so that the local wisdom of the Green Princess, containing educational and cultural values, can be introduced to BIPA learners. The local wisdom contained in the Green Princess folktale needs to be disseminated and introduced to foreign learners as BIPA learning material. Introducing local wisdom greatly helps foreign learners communicate with the local community. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to gain an understanding of reality through an inductive thinking process. By engaging with the situations and phenomena of BIPA material preparation, learners can learn educational and cultural values through the Green Princess folktale, which serves as reading material in BIPA learning. This material contains the following educational values: 1) Truth values, 2) Religious values, 3) Moral values, and 4) Social values. This material also contains cultural values: 1) The relationship between humans and God, 2) The relationship between humans and other humans, 3) The relationship between humans and nature, and 4) The relationship between humans and their creations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze high-frequency words used in Madurese language textbooks for grade 4th, 5th, and 6th of elementary school students. The data in this study is a corpus created from two Madurese language textbooks for elementary schools used in grade 4th, 5th, and 6th in Bangkalan. The data was processed using concordance software, namely Lancsbox, to identify the vocabulary that are frequently used in those textbooks. Then, the data was analysed qualitatively to know the meaning and the word classes of the words. The results of this study show that the frequency of words that are most often used in textbooks in the three classes is the same, those are and “sè” which mean "yang". Additionally, in the Grade 4th textbook, out of 100 high-frequency words across the grades in the data, there are 7 parts of speech that are most frequently used. Those are nouns, particles, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, numerals, and adverbs. In the Grade 5th and 6th textbook, the part of speech that frequently used is nouns. It also used particles, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and numerals. the importance of text design that supports the transition from simple narrative learning in early grades to more information-dense and fact-based learning in later grades. It implies the importance of text design that supports the learning process. Moreover, these results can serve as a guide for educators and curriculum developers in creating more effective teaching materials, aligned with the development of language and student cognition.

Abstract

Ketidakmampuan tokoh utama dalam film untuk melanjutkan perjalanan atau mengalami titik berhenti sering kali dapat dianalisis melalui lensa teori psikoanalisis Carl Gustav Jung, khususnya konsep "The Shadow" dalam ketaksadaran. Dalam pandangan Jung, "The Shadow" merujuk pada aspek-aspek diri yang ditekan, diabaikan, atau tidak disadari oleh individu karena dianggap bertentangan dengan ideal-ideal ego atau citra diri yang diterima secara sosial. Ketaksadaran ini tidak hanya menyimpan pengalaman-pengalaman negatif atau menyakitkan, tetapi juga potensi-potensi tersembunyi yang dapat menjadi kunci bagi perkembangan diri individu. Ketika tokoh tersebut menghadapi The Shadow, ia dihadapkan pada potensi diri yang terabaikan dan berbagai konflik internal yang belum diselesaikan. Melalui simbolisme dan narasi film, The Shadow dalam ketaksadaran bukan hanya memanifestasikan kekurangan atau kelemahan, tetapi juga mengungkapkan potensi untuk perubahan dan transformasi. Proses menghadapi The Shadow menjadi langkah penting bagi tokoh utama dalam mencapai pemahaman diri yang lebih dalam, yang memungkinkan mereka untuk melanjutkan perjalanan hidup mereka secara lebih utuh dan sadar.
