Abstract

In the digital age, information technology has become essential in many areas of life, including public administration. As a public service provider, the government needs to utilize technology to increase efficiency, transparency, and accountability in providing services to its citizens. The concrete expression of the innovation is the development of the Village Information System (SID) which aims to enable the village government to manage population data, development, and village administration in an integrated manner. The Ogan-Ilir Regency Government has developed and implemented two web applications, SIDESI (Integrated Village Information System). This application aims to facilitate the management of municipal data and village administration. SIDESI allows villages to consolidate data relevant to various development needs. This study uses a quantitative approach using a survey method using a questionnaire to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the SIDESI web application. This approach aims to obtain data obtained from questionnaires filled out by users directly from the SIDESI web application. The results of the use of the SIDESI application web application are very effective in managing population data, with features that make it easier for village officials to input family and resident data in a systematic and structured manner. This speeds up the data management process at the village level, as well as reduces the risk of human error in data recording.

Abstract

Information technology continues to grow in response to societal needs, including the education sector which increasingly depends on digital systems. One of the essential processes in school administration is the Admission of New Students (PPDB), which serves as the first stage of school services to the public. At PAUD TK Dharma Wanita Kebur Village, the PPDB process is still conducted conventionally, requiring parents or guardians to come directly to the school, resulting in inefficiencies in time, effort, and data management. This study develops a web-based PPDB information system as a solution to improve the accuracy, speed, and convenience of the admission process. The Waterfall method is used in system development, consisting of sequential stages including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection was conducted through literature studies and analysis of existing registration procedures. The designed system includes features such as user login, online registration, prospective student data input, validation, and automated registration processing. The final result is a web-based PPDB system that is expected to make the student admission process more efficient, structured, and accessible for both schools and prospective students, while supporting better data management in educational institutions.

Abstract

Efficient spare part management plays a crucial role in supporting operational continuity at PT. Setia Karya Transport (Great Giant Foods). The current spare part forecasting process is still reactive and relies on periodic evaluations, resulting in potential inefficiencies in procurement planning. This study aims to develop a machine learning-based predictive model to forecast spare part requirements using historical transaction data from January to July 2025. The research applied three modeling scenarios: (1) a hybrid model combining Support Vector Regression (SVR), Random Forest, and Statistical methods; (2) pure statistical methods with zero-ratio classification; and (3) the XGBoost algorithm with zero-ratio classification. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) metrics. The results showed that the hybrid approach achieved the best performance with an MAE of 2.919 and an RMSE of 8.056, indicating higher prediction accuracy compared to other models. The findings demonstrate that integrating machine learning with statistical approaches can effectively enhance forecasting accuracy and support data-driven decision-making in warehouse management. Abstract

In order to guarantee system functioning and quality, software testing is an essential stage in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This study implements black box testing using Equivalency Partitioning (EP) and Boundary Value Analysis (BVA) on the Admin Website PAUD KB Al Husna to identify functional defects, focusing on input validation and error handling. In this study, 82 test scenarios were created for five functional modules (Class Management, Teacher Management, FAQ, Schedule, Gallery) and three non-functional factors (Security, Compatibility, and Responsiveness). Test execution was conducted manually based on BVA test cases (Min-1, Min, Max, Max+1) and EP cases (valid and invalid classes). Results showed a 32.9% failure rate (27 of 82 scenarios). Critical findings include: (1) Systemic failure in upper-boundary validation (BVA Max+1) with 256-character inputs; (2) EP-Invalid validation failures revealing Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities from HTML input; and (3) Absence of brute-force protection on login pages. The study concludes that BVA and EP techniques effectively identify critical data validation and security defects, providing essential improvement recommendations for developers.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, human dependence on telecommunications continues to grow, particularly in communication technology. Modern technology has become essential for enabling fast interaction and efficient information exchange. Internet networks not only provide rapid access to information but also allow users to share and obtain data from various global sources. South Sumatra has experienced significant expansion in internet infrastructure, with more than 4,000 BTS (Base Transceiver Stations) installed to support stable communication, including in Lahat Regency. The region currently offers 2G, 3G, and 4G services from providers such as Telkomsel and Indosat. However, internet performance is often disrupted by unexpected power outages and uneven infrastructure in remote areas, resulting in unstable connectivity. This study aims to evaluate network quality at PTPN 7 Senabing Unit, Lahat Regency, using Quality of Service (QoS) parameters including throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter. Measurements were conducted using Wireshark to monitor and capture data packet traffic. Results indicate variations in delay between daytime and nighttime transmissions. During daytime hours, the delay value reached 6.4 ms, falling into the “Very Good” category.

Abstract

Prediction is an action to predict future conditions based on past data. One method for making predictions that can be used is the linear regression method. The linear regression method itself consists of two types, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. One method that uses past data to make predictions is the linear regression method. Regression is a statistical calculation to test how closely the relationship between variables. The simplest and most frequently used regression analysis is simple linear regression. In regression analysis, there is one dependent variable usually written with the symbol Y and one or more independent variables usually written with the symbol X. The relationship between the two variables has a linear nature according to its name. The SVM method was chosen for data mining analysis in this study. There are two parameters used: Exam Scores and Admission Status. This research uses recapitulation data on the acceptance of new students at Play Group & Kindergarten Rahmah Abadi with a total of 50 people. Based on the analysis results, an accuracy rate of 91%.

Abstract

Fierce competition in the world of e-commerce requires platforms not only to attract new customers but also to retain existing ones in a highly dynamic digital market. Customer retention, defined as a business’s ability to maintain customer loyalty over a specific period of time, has become a vital metric for long-term business sustainability. As consumers are increasingly exposed to multiple shopping alternatives, e-commerce platforms must ensure that their digital environment remains engaging, efficient, and user-friendly. This study highlights the crucial role of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) as key determinants that influence customer behaviour and significantly contribute to improving retention rates. Using a combination of literature review and case study methodology, this journal identifies several essential UI/UX elements that directly impact user satisfaction. These elements include clean and visually appealing interface design, intuitive and predictable navigation paths, fast loading speed, and a seamless, simplified checkout process. Each of these components plays a strategic role in reducing user frustration, increasing convenience, and fostering trust in the platform. When users are able to browse, search, and complete transactions effortlessly, their likelihood of revisiting the same platform increases significantly. The analysis shows that a smooth, personalised, and efficient overall user experience has a positive correlation with repeat purchases and higher customer loyalty. Therefore, the study concludes that investing in UI/UX design is not merely an operational cost but a fundamental business strategy for building long-term customer relationships and achieving stable growth in an increasingly competitive e-commerce environment. This journal recommends that e-commerce businesses prioritise UI/UX development within their operational strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term retention.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the world of education requires educational institutions to have an objective and integrated decision-making system. However, the results of observations at SMKN 13 Medan showed that there are still problems in the form of data fragmentation between departments which causes the process of determining outstanding students and selecting new students' majors to be inefficient and prone to subjectivity. This study aims to develop an integrated web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using a combination of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) methods to improve accuracy and fairness in the academic decision-making process. The system development method used is Waterfall, with stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, application, and maintenance. The results of quantitative calculations show that in determining outstanding students, student Amira obtained the highest score of 95.79, while in selecting majors, student Aulia Fatimah Al Zahra obtained the highest score of 86.11 and was recommended to the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) department. The system testing results show that the AHP-SMART combination successfully provides accurate and consistent results with a weighting consistency level of CR = 0.08 for achievement and CR = 0.06 for majors. It can be concluded that the developed system is able to integrate data across majors, improve assessment efficiency, and support transparent, objective, and data-based decision-making in the vocational school environment.

Abstract

Forest and Land Fires in Indonesia represent a chronic disaster with multidimensional impacts, marked by economic losses reaching Rp. 72.8 trillion in 2022 and severe data fragmentation. Conventional reporting systems, dominated by manual mechanisms (85%), create a temporal crisis, causing response delays of 24 to 48 hours. This research aims to design and develop an integrated mobile application prototype that combines predictive Artificial Intelligence (AI) with community participation (crowdsourcing) to address this gap. The methodology used is Research and Development (R&D), beginning with an in-depth needs analysis of 150 respondents in Riau. A three-tier system architecture is implemented, consisting of a Mobile Layer (Flutter), a Firebase-based Backend as a Service (BaaS), and a Machine Learning Engine (TensorFlow) with a Random Forest (RF) model optimized for peatland characteristics. Initial results show an RF model accuracy of >= 80% on internal validation data and 90% user approval for the minimalist UI/UX design. This prototype is explicitly engineered to achieve a system response time of < 1 minute and a prediction accuracy of >= 85%, making it an innovative solution that enhances response speed, operational resilience, and disaster mitigation effectiveness in Forest and Land Fires-prone areas like Riau Province.
