Abstract

Background: Newborn babies are very vulnerable to vitamin K deficiency. When in the womb, babies do not get enough vitamin K, because it is difficult for vitamin K from the mother to cross the placenta. When a baby experiences bleeding due to a lack of vitamin K or Bleeding due to Vitamin K Deficiency (PDVK), the baby's body will not stop bleeding because the body is unable to clot the blood due to a lack of vitamin K. This bleeding can occur in various parts of the body, internally or externally. outside. Research Objective: To determine the influence of midwives' knowledge and attitudes on the provision of Vitamin K in the Pebayuran Community Health Center working area, Pebayuran District. Research Method: This research is descriptive analytical with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all 37 registered midwives in the Pebayuran Community Health Center Working Area. To determine the sample using total sampling. Research Results: The results show that the significance level is ˂0.001, which means it is lower than 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an influence of midwife knowledge and midwife attitudes towards giving vitamin K in the Pebayuran Community Health Center working area, Pebayuran District. With an OR value of 16.4, which means that a midwife who has good knowledge has a 16.4-fold potential for providing Vitamin K and an OR value of 23.9, which means a midwife who has a positive attitude has a 23.9-fold potential for providing Vitamin K. Conclusions and Suggestions: There is an influence of the knowledge and attitudes of midwives on the provision of Vitamin K in the Pebayuran Community Health Center Work Area, Pebayuran District. For the community health center, it can be used as information and evaluation regarding the provision of Vitamin K to newborn babies and for the head of the community health center it is recommended to hold outreach activities regarding the importance of giving Vitamin K to newborn babies and it is mandatory for all health workers to participate so that they understand the dangers of vitamin K deficiency in particular. in newborn babies.

Abstract

Background: Perineal rupture occurs in almost all first deliveries and not infrequently also in subsequent deliveries. Perineal rupture is influenced by several factors, namely age, parity, education, occupation, and newborn weight. Objective: to determine the relationship between age, parity, education, occupation, and newborn weight with the incidence of perineal rupture at Cirinten Health Center, Lebak Regency in 2023. Research method: quantitative analytic with cross-sectional design. The research sample was maternity mothers who gave birth at Cirinten Health Center, Lebak Regency in August-October 2023 as many as 55 respondents with a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used medical record data analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: univariate analysis showed that most laboring mothers experienced perineal rupture 56.4%, low-risk age 72.7%, parity > 1 70.9%, low education 67.3%, not working 52.7%, and newborn weight ≥ 2500 grams 85.5%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a relationship between age (p-value = 0.014), parity (p-value = 0.007), education (p-value = 0.035), work (p-value = 0.024), and newborn weight (p-value = 0.016) with the incidence of perineal rupture. Conclusions and Suggestions: age, parity, education, occupation, and newborn weight are associated with the incidence of perineal rupture. Midwives are expected to minimize the occurrence of perineal rupture in laboring women by establishing cooperation between mothers and midwives during the process of receiving.

Abstract

Background: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is one part of the hospital that provides nursing services to patients in critical condition with trained staff and special equipment so as to trigger an anxiety response in the family of critical patients. One of the efforts that can be made to reduce anxiety levels in families of critical patients is by providing holistic nursing care through a behavioral caring approach. Purpose: To determine the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the anxiety level of critical patients' families in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room of Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak Hospital in 2023. Methods: Descriptive with a research design using cross-sectional approach. Results: Obtained from 32 respondents, most respondents rated nurses' caring behavior with good categories (90,6%) and most respondents (65,6%) did not experience anxiety, a small number experienced mild anxiety (25,0%) and moderate anxiety (9,4%), and there is a relationship between the caring behavior of nurses and the level of anxiety of critical patients' families in the Intensive Care Unit Room of Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak Hospital in 2023 (p-value = 0,039). Where the higher the nurse's caring behavior, the lower the respondent's anxiety level. Conclusion: It is expected to provide nursing care that not only focuses on therapy but thinks about psychological aspects, namely by providing counseling interventions where the patient's family can exchange ideas with health workers about the problems experienced by patients so as to improve the quality of nursing care holistically.

Abstract

Background: WHO in 2020 stated that maternal deaths worldwide were 295,000 women, Africa WHO in 2020 stated that maternal deaths worldwide were 295,000 women, Africa, Sub-Saharan and South Asia accounted for around 86%. The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is 230/100,000 live births. The direct cause of maternal death in 90% is complications that occur during labor and after delivery. Infections that often occur in mothers after giving birth are infections of the perineum. Data obtained at TPMB Darmauli in the last three months gave birth to women who experienced grade II perineal wounds, namely in August 2023 there were 66.67%, in September 2023 73.33% and in October 2023 there were (64.28%). Objectives: Knowing the difference between giving decoction of betel leaves and binahong leaves in healing perineal wounds. Methods: Quasi-experimental with posttest group design research type. The sample in this study was all 30 postpartum mothers who experienced perineal wounds at TPMB Darmauli in December 2023. The sampling technique was total sampling. Results: The majority of perineal wound healing in the betel leaf group was normal and the majority in the binahong leaf group was fast. The average healing time for perineal wounds in the betel leaf group was 7.13 days and 5 days in the binahong leaf group. Binahong leaves are faster for healing perineal wounds in postpartum women compared to betel leaves (p. value 0.000). Conclusions and Suggestions: Binahong leaves are faster for healing perineal wounds in postpartum women compared to betel leaves. It is hoped that midwives can improve counseling regarding perineal wound care by using boiled water from binahong leaves to speed up wound healing.

Abstract

Mitra Sehat Hospital in Situbondo won the general conference title for the first time in 2018. However, the number of case mix officers in this hospital is only six, and they face many tasks as the workload is disproportionate to their number. This study used the ABK-Kes methodology to determine the staffing needs of the Casemix department of Mitra Sehat Situbondo Hospital in 2023. The methodology used was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population of this study consisted of six Case Mix officials with different educational backgrounds, namely, four with D4 RMIK education, one with a D2 degree in informatics, and one with a high school diploma. Data were collected by observation and interviews. From the results of calculations using the workload analysis (ABK-Kes) methodology, the need for the Casemix section is 10 PMIK. Meanwhile, Mitra Sehat Hospital has only six PMIKs, indicating the need to add four more staff to reduce the high workload and optimize staff working hours.

Abstract

Hospitals as health service providers are responsible for ensuring the storage of medical records in accordance with regulations, both in conventional and electronic form. At Mitra Sehat Situbondo Hospital, the process of transitioning from conventional to electronic medical records is ongoing, but has not yet been fully implemented. Some of the obstacles faced include delays in digitalization and no clear operational procedures (SOP). This research aims to evaluate the management of medical records in support of digitalization, using a qualitative descriptive approach involving observation and interviews. The research results show that the use of RME at Mitra Sehat Hospital has only been implemented in outpatient settings, while scanning and digitizing medical records is not yet optimal. Digitalization of conventional medical record files is carried out through a scanning and retention process to reduce the accumulation of files in the filing unit. Storage efficiency and security of physical documents that indicate damage, loss and natural factors can be maintained with digital files. Through this research, it is hoped that Mitra Sehat Hospital can design features that support media transfer to ensure consistent medical records and ensure an efficient data migration process.
