Abstract

Karakteristik kritis nano-structured lipid carrier (NLC) sangat dipengaruhi oleh komponen lipid padat dan lipid cair dalam sistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh panjang rantai karbon dalam lipid padat terhadap karakteristik NLC. Resveratrol sebagai senyawa antioksidan digunakan sebagai model obat. Sebanyak 3 formula NLC dibuat dengan variasi tipe lemak padat yaitu asam stearat, asam palmitat, dan asam miristat. Lemak padat dengan loading 5%, lemak cair dengan loading 2%, dan Tween 80 dengan loading 4,2% sebagai surfaktan. NLC dibuat dengan metode emulsi diikuti dengan sonikasi untuk memperkecil ukuran partikel. NLC resveratrol dikarakterisasi dengan parameter ukuran partikel, zeta potensial, efisiensi penjerapan, kecepatan pelepasan obat (fluks), dan stabilitas aktivitas antioksidan. Ketiga NLC resveratrol yang diperoleh memiliki karakteristik ukuran partikel 150-280 nm, potensial zeta (-4 mV) – (-15mV), efisiensi penjerapan >80%, nilai fluks 0,02-0,12 mg.cm-2.menit-1, dan penurunan aktivitas antioksidan 5-8% selama penyimpanan 30 hari. Panjang rantai karbon mempengaruhi pembentukan partikel nano dari NLC dengan hubungan parabola dan panjang rantai karbon optimum akan menghasilkan partikel dengan ukuran minimum. Zeta potensial dari ketiga formula menunjukkan perbedaan yang tidak bermakna (p>0,05). Panjang rantai karbon memberikan pengaruh terhadap efisiensi penjerapan secara bermakna (p<0,05). Formula NLC asam palmitat memiliki fluks paling tinggi. Aktivitas antioksidan ketiga formula tidak berbeda bermakna (p>0,05).

Abstract

Rate of disintegration the tablet is determined by disintegrant position in intragranular or extragranular. Intragranulary granules were disintegrant into their constituent particles, while in extragranulary tablets were disintegrant into granules.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the addition of materials disintegrant intragranulary, extragranulary, and combination on the disintegration of the tablet with the parameters of physical properties of tablets produced. The tablets were prepared in three formulas based on comparative materials disintegrant variations intragranular and extragranular. Comparison of the three formulas in intragranular and extragranular: F1 (100%: 0%), F2 (75%: 25%), F3 (0%: 100%). Tablet were prepared using wet granulation method with 10% starch binder materials. The resulting granule tested physical properties of granule include: flow time, angle of repose, and tapping. Furthermore, compressed with a constantdepth of punch. The tablets tested the physical properties include: uniformity of weight, hardness, friability, and disintegration time.Statistical results with oneway ANOVA test showed that between tablets formula have difference disintegration time tablet was significant difference with the addition of disintegrant. Data base obtain showed that all formulas parasetamol tablets fulfilled the requirements of granular physical test but only F2 fulfilled the requirements of tablets physical test. The most effective formula tablet is F2 (75%:25%) was disintegration time (8.05 minute).

Abstract

Atorvastatin is one of the first choice in the treatment of dyslipidemia associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease. Drug patent expires in 2011. Currently in Indonesia circulated atorvastatin dosage tablet innovator , several trade names , and one generic. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the quality of the preparation of atorvastatin market in Indonesia through tablet dosage uniformity test , so that the appropriate levels of drugs can provide the desired therapeutic effect.Uniformity tablet dosage form of atorvastatin is done by measuring the uniformity of tablet weight, and content uniformity was done using ultraviolet spectrophotometry in methanol at the maximum wavelength of 246.2 nm and their validity was tested on the value of LOD (limit of detection), and LOQ (limit of quantitation). One- Way ANOVA analyzis was their also conducted.  The results showed that of the calculation data obtained , either in column A or column B that there is no deviation from the weight of the tablet , and based on the calculation of CV showed that all the tablets of atorvastatin in the market already qualified uniformity of weight as indicated by the value of CV < 5 %, and the levels atorvastatin tablet generic and tablets under the trade name meets the standard requirements of a tablet that in the range 90.0 % - 110.0 % of the amount listed on the label

Abstract

Tingginya ISK pada geriatri wanita disebakan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu anatomi tubuh wanita yang memiliki uretra lebih pendek, faktor usia menyebabkan penurunan urusan perawatan diri khususnya organ intim, produksi hormon estrogen turun dan pH cairan vagina naik menyebabkan perkembangan mikroorganisme pada vagina. Untuk mendukung keberhasilan pengobatan dibutuhkan terapi yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah evaluasi penggunaan antibiotik pada pasien geriatri wanita ISK di instalasi rawat inap RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah non eksperimental dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif. Sampel diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Kriteria inklusi yang ditetapkan yaitu pasien geriatri wanita terdiagnosis ISK dan mendapatkan terapi antibiotik. Kriteria ekslusinya yaitu pasien pulang paksa dan meninggal.  Pemilihan obat dan dosis dianalisis kesesuaiannya berdasarkan Guideline on Urological Infections 2015 dan Antibiotic Guidelines 2015-2016 untuk pasien Gagal Ginjal. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 31 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Antibiotik yang paling banyak digunakan yaitu seftriakson (57,6%).  Pada penelitian ini, hasil analisis terapi antibiotik dinyatakan tepat indikasi (100%), tepat pasien (100%), tepat obat (90,9%), tepat dosis dan frekuensi (84,9%).

Abstract

Daun salam mengandung flavonoid sebagai antihipertensi, flavonoid yang diberikan secara peroral memiliki bioavailabilitas yang kurang baik karena kelarutan yang rendah dan tidak stabil terhadap faktor lingkungan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memformulasikan dalam sediaan nanopartikel menggunakan polimer kitosan dan natrium tri-polifosfat (NaTPP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi nanopartikel dari ekstrak etanol daun salam dengan variasi rasio konsentrasi kitosan. Ekstrak etanol daun salam diperoleh dengan cara ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Hasil ekstrak dibuat koloid nanopartikel menggunakan teknik gelasi ionic menggunakan variasi ekstrak etanol daun salam: kitosan: NaTPP (1:1:1); (1:5:1); dan (1:10:1). Koloid nanopartikel yang terbentuk dikarakterisasi ukuran partikel, dan nilai zeta potensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun salam positif mengandung flavonoid. Hasil karakterisasi nanopartikel ekstrak etanol daun salam menunjukkan bahwa formula F1, F2, dan F3 mempunyai ukuran partikel 284,2 ± 6,8; 410,6 ± 6,8; dan 630,1 ± 3,4 nm dan nilai zeta potensial F1, F2 dan F3 adalah 50,1 ± 4,3; 45,8 ± 0,7; dan 59,2 ± 1,2 mV. Semua formula menunjukan rentan karakterisasi sediaan nanopartikel (<1000nm) Peningkatan rasio kitosan dalam formulasi nanopartikel ekstrak etanol daun salam meningkatkan ukuran partikel dan nilai zeta potensial. F1 merupakan formula dengan ukuran partikel paling kecil dengan karakterisasi ukuran partikel <300nm dan stabilitas sistem dispersi yang optimal yaitu >30 mV.

Abstract

Pneumonia is lower respiratory tract infections, which is the leading cause of death in developing countries. Antibiotics are the primary therapy in cases of pneumonia due to bacteria. The use of antibiotics with other drugs allowing harmful effect. This study aimed to determine the significancy of antibiotics interaction and determine the phase of potential drug interaction could be happened.Data were collected retrospectively by taking data on the patient's medical record. Samples were obtained by purposive sampling. Inclusion criteria were patients diagnosed  pneumonia with comorbid and got antibiotic therapy.The results showed that there were 12 types of drugs combinationthat could potentially cause drug interactions .Potential interactions with other drugs antibiotics based on the literature occurred in the absorption phase (12.82%), metabolism (35.9%), and excretion (51.28%).

Abstract

Coffee favored because it has flavor, distinctive aroma, and contain bioactive components that can act as an antioxidant. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of extracts and fractions of green coffee cherries of Merapi. Green coffee cherries macerated with chloroform further partitioned with 80% methanol solvent. Measurement of antioxidant activity using DPPH spectrophotometric method. The results showed the chloroform extract has antioxidant activity 2.21 mg / mL, the methanol soluble 1.88 mg / mL, the residue was 3.66 mg / mL, and vitamin C 2.38 ug / mL.

Abstract

Irasionalitas terapi antibiotik yang tidak terkontrol dilaporkan menyebabkan bakteri resisten antibiotik, sehingga memicu penemuan agen antibakteri baru. Eksplorasi keanekaragaman tanaman obat Indonesia masih menjanjikan sebagai agen antibakteri yang potensial, termasuk tanaman senggugu (Rotheca serrata (L.) Steane & Mabb.). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dan kandungan fitokimia dari ekstrak dan fraksi senggugu terhadap bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metanol. Fraksinasi bertingkat dilakukan untuk mendapatkan fraksi n-heksana, diklorometana, etil asetat, dan residu. Skrining fitokimia dilakukan untuk menentukan alkaloid, terpenoid/steroid, flavonoid, dan polifenol menggunakan metode KLT. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan menggunakan metode mikrodilusi untuk menentukan nilai IC50. Ekstrak mengandung terpenoid/steroid, flavonoid, polifenol. Fraksi n-heksana dan diklorometana mengandung terpenoid/steroid. Fraksi etil asetat dan residu mengandung flavonoid dan polifenol. Nilai IC50 terendah dicapai oleh fraksi n-heksana sebesar 176,919 ± 6,303 µg/mL. Ekstrak dan fraksi senggugu memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang moderat.

Abstract

Planning of drug is an attempt determination of the type of drug, quantity and quality of medicines as needed. Antibiotics are used as primary therapy in cases of bacterial infection, so it needs a good planning for control the supplies. This study aims to classify antibiotics using ABC analysis to help the control of antibiotic drugs at Pharmacy Instalation of Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedy Hospital Surakarta.The design of this study is non-experimental research with descriptive analysis by using quantitative data. Data was analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2007.  Data was obtained from prescriptions that contain antibiotic drugs at Pharmacy Instalation of Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedy Hospital Surakarta during 2013. Data was  analyzed using ABC method. The data classified by usingABC method showed that out of 100 antibiotic drug items, 9 (9%) are categorized as group A, 13 (13%) are categorized as group B, and 78 (78%) are categorized as group C.

Abstract

Strawberry (Fragaria vesca L.) fruits contains nutrients that was beneficial to health because rich of antioxidant such as anthocyanin and flavonoids. Concentration of anthocyanins and flavonoids in strawberry during process would decline respectively 53% for pelargonidin3-O-glucoside and 40% for flavonoid. Water-oil emulsion consists of water and oil components were not mixed with each other, thus requiring emulgator to create a system that was homogeneous and stabilize the the antioxidants in strawberry.Emulgator that used in this study were : span 80, croduret 50 ss, and propylene glycol. They were optimized to know their combination in order to gain each portion of components which would produce an optimum formula of water/oil emulsion with good physical stability and stabilize the antioxidants ingredient. The optimization with Simplex Lattice Design method using Design Expert® software 7.1.5. Low limit and upper limit each components of emulgator were 1:1:1. The results of the responses of physical parameter were viscosity, separation ratio (F), and diameter of emulsion globule.Water/oil emulsion of strawberry that use emulgators : 2% Span80, 4% croduret 50 ss, and 2% propylene glycol produced a physically stable emulsion with the observation results had no significant difference to the prediction of Simplex Lattice Design. The observation results of viscosity value was -0.85 log P.as, 1.59 μm diameter of emulsion globule, and 0.99 cm of separation ratio (F). The prediction value were -0.56 log P.as of viscosity, diameter of emulsion globule of 3.26 μm and 0.97 cm of separation ratio (F). Strawberry fruits contains 23.3% of flavonoid, and 13.23% of anthocyanin. The optimum formula had 20% of flavonoids and 11.67% of anthocyanin. Combination of emulgator can stable the antioxidant compound of strawbbery fruits into water/oil emulsion formula. The consentration of antioxidant compounds decreased just ± 14% after formulation process.
