Abstract

Humans tend to always look for convenience, including choosing applications to learn robot programming. uKIT EDU is an educational application for robot building, coding and controlling. This study aims to analyze new learners' level of acceptance towards it. This research was designed quantitatively by involving 116 respondents. A questionnaire based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was organized with 4 observed variables, including perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude and behavioral intention to use. The Mann-Whitney U statistical test was carried out in this study to compare two independent samples, male and female learners. Moreover, the Kruskal-Wallis H statistical test was carried out to compare three or more independent samples based on age generations and occupations. From all the statistical tests conducted, it was found that there was no significant difference in the acceptance of uKIT EDU from each sample based on gender, age generations and occupation. They agreed that the app was useful and easy to be used to learn robotics, coding and controlling. Briefly, this study revealed that uKIT EDU is suitable for new learners and can be used as a reference for any schools, educational institutions, and parents of students interested in starting to learn robotics.

Abstract

The research conducted was based on the development of digital-based learning media, where it was found that the majority of educators paid little attention to the application of media as a learning tool in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students speaking skills when combining the application of digital story media. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with one group pretest-posttest design. The population used in the study were students from grade V elementary school totaling 23 children. The assessment in the research process uses a speaking skill rubric that contains: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary selection, speaking fluency, and overall content of the story delivered. From the results of the research, there are data results in the form of a significant value (2-Tailed) worth 0, 000 in the One Sample T- Test results. Where the significant value of 0, 000 is smaller than 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and Hα is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that digital-based story media can improve students' speaking skills. The impact of the research conducted is that digital story media can help improve students' language skills. Thus, digital story media can be a learning innovation in schools and can be developed again according to the needs of students. So that later it can foster students' creative ideas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the decline in learning outcomes in the learning content of IPAS and the use of media and learning models that could have been more optimal. This study aims to develop Interactive Multimedia based on the PjBL Model with an environmental problem orientation on Ecosystem material for grade V SD which is feasible, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were four experts, three teachers, and six students, as well as 1 class V elementary school student totaling 25 people. This study used a pre-experimental design, one shot case study. The data collection methods were questionnaires and tests with instruments like rating scale sheets and multiple-choice tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the feasibility score of media experts and learning content experts was 0.93 (very feasible), and the assessment of the practicality of the media by teachers was 98.52%. The practicality of the media by students was 99% (very good), and Interactive Multimedia based on the PjBL model effectively improved student learning outcomes in grade V Ecosystem material. This study concludes that the developed media is feasible, practical, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on Ecosystem material.

Abstract

The use of innovative learning media based on digital technology can have a positive impact on improving the quality of the learning process. This study aims to develop a media pop-up book based on a quick response code on the topic of plant propagation that has been tested for validity. This research was conducted through five stages in the ADDIE model. This research was only carried out until the development stage. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire method. The assessment instrument used to test the validity of the pop-up book media in this study was a rating scale with a learning media assessment sheet. The subject of this study was pop-up book media based on quick response code on the topic of plant reproduction systems for grade VI elementary schools with the validity of the media as a research object. The assessment was carried out by four experts consisting of two lecturers and two sixth grade teachers. The results of the assessment are then averaged to determine the validity of the pop-up book media based on the quick response code that has been made. From the results of the assessment by four experts, an average media validity score of 93% was obtained, the material validity average score was 96% and the media validity by practitioners was an average of 98% with very good qualifications. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the pop-up book media based on the quick response code on the topic of plant reproductive systems for grade VI elementary schools is valid in the very good category.

Abstract

The low use of practicum modules in the Integrated Elementary Science learning process. This study aims to create a digital practicum module in Integrated Elementary Science courses. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE stage process. The subject of this research is the validity of the content, design, and media of the practicum module and the practicality of the practicum module. Data collection methods are literature study methods, questionnaires, and interviews. The instrument form is a rating scale with descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that this study successfully produced a digital practicum module in the Integrated Elementary Science course in Elementary School Teacher Education. The level of achievement of media validity is 94%, content validity is 94%, and design validity is 92.5%. It shows that the validity reaches a very good predicate. The level of achievement of the practitioner's response obtained a value of 94% with a very good predicate; The level of achievement of the media practicality response in the individual test obtained a value of 98.33%; And the level of achievement of the practitioner's response in the small group test obtained a value of 97.5% with a very good predicate. The conclusion shows that the developed product as a digital practicum module in Integrated Elementary Science courses can be declared valid, practical, and feasible for learning. This study implies that there is a digital practicum module that can support the learning process of Integrated Elementary Science.

Abstract

The lack of media used in learning can affect the low student learning outcomes. This study has four objectives, namely to produce a design of panpuzfape media on the theme of events in life, to analyze the validity of the content of panpuzfape media on life events, to analyze the practicality of students in panpuzfape media on the theme of life events, and to analyze the effectiveness of panpuzfape media development on the theme of deep events in order to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in elementary schools. This development study uses the ADDIE model, which is composed of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study takes the subject of panpuzfape media, while the objects of development research are media content validity, user response, and media effectiveness. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The instruments used for data collection were observation guidelines, rating scale sheets, interviews, and questionnaires. Quantitative analysis method consists of two ways, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that Panpuzfape media was valid in terms of the results of the expert's assessment, practical in terms of the results of the practitioner's assessment, and effective in terms of the results of tests on students.

Abstract

ESD competence is key for teachers to implement ESD in schools so that education can make a real contribution to achieving sustainable development goals. This study analyzes the relationship between perceptions of teacher ESD competence and ESD implementation in Junior High Schools (JHS). This study uses a correlational study. The population in this study included JHS teachers. The research sample consisted of 384 teachers who were taken using a multistage sampling technique by taking teachers from 3 sub-districts in 6 urban districts. The data collection method used is by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis is using percentage analysis technique amd Pearson correlation analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that teachers need ESD competencies because teachers feel that the implementation of ESD in schools is still in the average category. So teachers hope to acquire competencies related to ESD in more depth. Based on this, it is hoped that policymakers at the national level, local governments, and even the schools themselves will organize activities to improve ESD competence for teachers in various forms of training, seminars, and others. This is done so that the implementation of ESD in schools can be maximized so that teachers, as the spearhead of education, can make a real contribution to achieving the 2030 agenda.

Abstract

The development of educational technology has become an essential factor in solving academic problems. Educational technology can provide accessible information and delivery of material so that the learning activities carried out do not become a significant obstacle to learning effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the use of digital musical storytelling to increase first-grade elementary school student listening skills. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The research design used in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was the first graders of elementary school. Data collection techniques were direct observation and measurement techniques. The data is ana-lyzing statistically using SPSS. The results showed that there is an average difference between pretest and posttest learning outcomes, which means that there is an effect of using digital music storytelling on stu-dents' listening skills. The contribution of this study is to help students learn music courses with more fun and easier understanding.

Abstract

A big challenge for educators in carrying out learning that has undergone drastic changes. During the pandemic, learning activities carried out online were again carried out offline. This learning adaptation has a considerable impact on learning outcomes. Students have difficulty understanding chemical concepts and are passive in giving opinions in learning so it is difficult to integrate knowledge. During online learning activities, student learning resources are still focused on abstract concepts and books provided. The purpose of this study was to improve students' argumentation skills on chemistry in interpreting the knowledge obtained with the guided inquiry learning model. This type of research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation, argumentation ability tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it showed that students were able to make claims but had difficulty presenting data and proving evidence. Students' initial argumentation abilities can be a reference for educators to determine future learning activities, with the hope that learning is designed not only to focus on achieving conceptual understanding but to develop students' argumentation abilities.

Abstract

The development of innovative learning media is needed to provide a different and varied learning experience.  This is required to stimulate student interest in learning to achieve maximum learning outcomes.  The aim of this study is to develop and analyze the effect of digital-based flashcard media to improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth-grade elementary school students.  This research uses R&D (Research and Development) methods and adapts the ADDIE development model.  The population in this study were fourth-grade students.  This study randomly took a sample of 126 fourth-grade students and calculated using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%.  The results of this study show that the results of material expert validation 83.3% in the worthy category. The results of media experts 93.3% in the very worthy category, and the results of the effectiveness of learning media are obtained through a questionnaire given to students at the pretest and posttest.  This study concludes that digital-based flashcard media positively impacts social studies learning outcomes for fourth-grade elementary school students.
