Abstract

Abstract— The objective of this paper was to determine the criteria for selection of C-Check maintenance service provider for a Thai-Singaporean low cost airline. To identify the significant criteria, the documentary studies from reviewing ten related researches in scholarly literatures were conducted and then developed the semi-structure interview guide. Based on results of the interviews of four key informants, who are the top managerial level officers of the airline company, from the competing values of roles and responsibilities, the supplier selection criteria were examined and scored by using the weighted factor rating method. The results revealed 4 significant criteria being used as a framework for the C-Check maintenance service provider selection; these are quality, cost, delivery and compatibility. However, the result confirmed that quality is a must for C-Check maintenance in compliance with the restriction of the aviation industry. Keywords— Aviation Industry, Maintenance Supplier Selection, Factor Rating Method

Abstract

Abstract-Human resources is one of the crucial aspects to achieve the company goals which can be handle by supply chain strategy. The relationship among supply chain strategy, management of core operational functions and improvement in performance requires better understanding. In banks, turnover intention is the process or attitude of an employee to consider leaving the current job, and to find alternative employment opportunities in other organizations or companies that are better. The objective of this research was to find out the influence of Supply Chain Management and Organization Performance toward Turnover Intention at the Head Office of PT Bank Syariah Mandiri. In this research, the researcher took the samples by using non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The samples were the permanent officers of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri (Head Office) consisted of 291 respondents from the total of 404 permanent officers. The researcher used structural equation model in testing, analyzing the data, and model development. The Data were analyzed by using statistical software tools (LISREL 8.8). The paper seeks to establish and validate a theoretical model linking the supply chain strategy, core operational functions and organizational performance in bank. The data validates the theoretical basis of the constructs and shows supply chain strategy has an overall positive impact on multiple performance dimensions through strategically aligned core operational functions.

Abstract

Abstract This paper investigates the effect of the board quality on risk reporting in specific social and cultural context of Saudi Arabia for a sample of 423 company-year observations over the period 2015-2018. The paper utilizes a comprehensive risk reporting index and self-constructed index of board quality to measure the main variables. Using pooled OLS regression models, our results suggest that there is a positive and significant relationship between the quality of the board of directors and risk reporting in Saudi non-financial firms. In addition, this finding is consistent with the disaggregation of the risk disclosure index into mandatory versus voluntary risk disclosures and the disclosure of financial and non-financial risk disclosures. Such findings suggest that the quality of the board of directors helps to eliminate information asymmetry and agency costs. Finally, the findings of this study can prove to be of great value to market regulators in their attempts to improve the corporate governance in Saudi Arabia and can be extended to include other countries in the MENA region.

Abstract

Halal compliance is very crucial for halal certified food manufacturers. However, over time, there are many cases of non-compliances which resulted in the revocation of halal certificate among Malaysian food and beverage manufacturers. This study looked at the role of religiosity in ensuring halal compliance in companies operating in Malaysia. Results from the quantitative analyses indicated that religiosity did not have an impact on halal compliance by Malaysia FB companies. This conclusion indicated that the existing Malaysia halal management system might be the main factor which ensure compliance among FB stake holders in Malaysia.

Abstract

Global logistics system performance could not be achieved without an available intern logistics system for production systems.  Indeed, availability is the fastest path to performance where maintenance logistics occupies the central role.In this paper we define a systemic framework for maintenance logistics to manage all maintenance resources and their interactions.  In order to define main maintenance logistics management problems we conducted a structured survey study in the Moroccan industrial context. The study presents results based on 152 surveys responses from 281 surveys addressed to different industrial production systems. Results analysed on SPSS statistical software revealed an insufficient involvement level for production operator and insufficient organisation level for maintenance logistics environment. Therefore we propose a new sustainable model conception based on empirical conclusions. Keywords— Maintenance logistics system; management model; Operator involvement; maintenance logistics environment; SPSS software; maintenance improvement.

The results also showed that the higher the level of supply chain management, the higher the attitude of rejection of fraud in regional budgeting. The results highlight that individuals who have a level of religiosity in themselves will practice religious values by obeying the rules and carrying out obligations and being able to control themselves from all forms of fraud including fraud in the budgeting process. The results also exposed the leadership moderates the links among the religiosity, supply chain management, and the rejection of fraud in budgeting to the regional government.

Abstract

Abstract This study examines the model for the goat production supply chain and institution performance in the supply chain from production centers (Jeneponto Regency) to consumption centers (Makassar City). The institutions discussed here are only institutions that are included in the chain as primary members. The performance of goat supply chain institutions can be seen from the benefits obtained in the highest order, namely breeders, retailers, and collectors in Channel 1, while in Channel 2, they are farmers, intermediary consumers, collectors and retailers. The profit gained breeders from marketing margins in both channels is quite good; the respective values are 67.43% and 64.66% of total marketing margins.
