Abstract

The small and medium business sector plays an important role in strengthening the structure of the national economy. This sector is essentially related to the economic life of most Indonesian people. Past studies indicate that the quality of small and medium enterprises in Indonesia facing difficulties to extend their businesses due to several internal problems such as lack of human resources entrepreneurial skill, technology, management, and information. As such, based on Resource-Based View theory, this study aims to analyze the effect of adaptability strategy, entrepreneurial orientation, and the government policy on the performance of selected small and medium enterprises. Information sharing wide supply chain management significantly and positively inserts moderating effect among the relationship between government policy, adaptability strategy, entrepreneurial orientation, and performance. Based on interviews and questionnaires distributed to 49 small and medium enterprises, this study found adaptability strategy, entrepreneurial orientation, and the government policy affects business performance. This study enriches the current literature by providing contributions and insights to understanding how Resource-Based View theory will affect the business performance of small and medium enterprises in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review the supply chain factors of lean healthcare performance improvement (LHPI). Seven supply chain factors of LHPI (leadership, employee engagement, customer engagement, continuous improvement, just in time, lean production, and workflow processes) had been identified. The researcher chose Malaysia’s healthcare industry as a population of this study because the industry will face strong pressures and take initiatives in order to manage the healthcare in a cost and performances effective manner. For practical implications, the LHPI tool process is user friendly, easy to use, systematic and practical thus can assist practitioners to understand the concept of lean healthcare practices in the Malaysian healthcare industry. Thus, the implementation of LHPI is significant to the Malaysian healthcare industry in order to improve the supply chain factors.

Abstract

Supply chain management is considered as one of the key elements to leveraging a company’s success. Active global crypto currency market growth “overwhelming” national economic systems contributes to the formation of a new type of economic relations which makes supply chain as the crucial factor in development. Despite the fact that at the current time in the world community a single (unified) approach to the legal regulation of the crypto currency market has not yet been developed, crypto currency is considered by many world regulators as a promising tool in the monetary policy of national economies. In this regard, it seems extremely urgent to solve the problem which reveals the features of the studied market development, as well as the possibility of its forecasting for short- and medium-term periods of time. The research subject is the process of economic and mathematical modelling of time series characterizing the bitcoin exchange rate volatility, based on the use of artificial neural networks. The purpose of the work is to search and scientifically substantiate the tools and mechanisms for developing prognostic estimates of the crypto currency market development. The paper considers the task of financial time series trend forecasting using the LSTM neural network for supply chain strategies. The time series composed of the BTC / USD currency pair data is analysed; the period analysed is a day. The authors analysed the neural network architecture, built a neural network model taking into account the heterogeneity and random volatility of the time series, developed and implemented an algorithm for solving the problem in the Python system. For training the neural network, data were used for the period from September 24, 2013, to March 17, 2019 (a total of 2002 data sets). The experiment boils down to that the constructed neural network model is trying to determine the trend of the time series for one next timeframe. The training was conducted with a "teacher". To determine the prediction error, the root-mean-square error (RMSE) was calculated. The results of the study are of practical interest for both government authorities in the field of crypto currency market regulation and for representatives of the business community, who are integrated or planning to integrate into the global crypto currency transaction system.

Abstract

The termination of a contract for non-performance does not preclude the application of the limitation of liability clause that was provided for in the contract. This clause therefore survives the retroactive annihilation of the contract following resolution. However, the scope of such a solution must be carefully considered. After the two rulings of the Cour de cassation (French Supreme Court) that ruled on the survival of limitation of liability clauses, the first of October 5, 2010, handed down specifically on the subject of a limitation of liability clause, and the second of May 3, 2012, which concerned all “contractual stipulations governing the conditions and consequences of its unilateral termination”, the Commercial Chamber of the Cour de cassation revived the plot by restoring, in a ruling of February 7, 2018, the full effectiveness of the limitation of liability clause in the event of termination of the contract for non-performance. There is no doubt that the letter of the new article 1230 of the Civil Code, resulting from the order of February 10, 2016, will have guided the spirit of the advisers. Henceforth - says the law- “the resolution does not affect either the clauses relating to the settlement of disputes, or those intended to take effect even in the event of resolution”. So in both the old and new contract law, limitation of liability clauses have a bright future ahead of them

Abstract

Abstract— This study aimed to explore the intermediary role of supply chain agility in the relationship between quality of information sharing and sustainability of the humanitarian supply chain. Questionnaire surveys were developed and administered to senior’s managers and assistant executives of the Jordanian Army and Red Crescent. The findings of the data analysis showed that the quality of information sharing positively impacts humanitarian supply chain sustainability. Furthermore, agility in supply chains partially mediates the relationship between quality of information sharing and supply chain sustainability. This study contributes to the existing body of literature on humanitarian aid supply chains by developing a comprehensive framework illustrating the role of inherent mechanisms of agility in the relationship between information-sharing quality and integrating sustainable development objectives, derived from recipients, relief seekers, and stakeholder requirements.

Abstract- This research tried to discuss the supply chain management and its motivation, ability, and opportunity on consumer service innovativeness and consumer attitude. The aimed of this research was threefold. First of all, this research reviewed phenomena on motivation, opportunity, and ability on consumer innovativeness. Second, we developed a measurement that important to the research which discussed about motivation, ability, and opportunity on consumer innovativeness. Third, we explained the relationship between motivation, ability, and opportunity to consumer innovativeness and consumer attitude. This research was conducted on consumers of Skincare services in Indonesia. This research used structural equation model by using software WARP PLS 6.0 to prove the hypothesis. The result of this research showed that consumer innovativeness was a positive effect on consumer attitude. And supply chain had a role as moderator variable to the relationship between consumer innovativeness and consumer attitude. The implication of this research was expected to be useful for a service business that prioritizes in service innovation. Abstract

The procurement of goods and services is generally carried out in isolation without coordination and integration in the process. Consequently, a number of issues may occur, such as the high number of procurement packages, high administrative cost, and high purchasing cost. Strategies are needed to address those issues, and one potential strategy is consolidated procurement of goods/services. Consolidated procurement has successfully been carried out by the Government of Indonesia through the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) for the procurement of national textbooks for the primary, junior high, and senior high schools. This paper reports on the implementation, challenges, and benefits at every stage of the consolidated procurement of the national textbooks in Indonesia. This study employed a qualitative approach and method by interviewing informants selected through purposive sampling. The informants in this research came from the Ministry of Education and Culture, the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP), and book publishers as procurement vendors. Data analysis was conducted through open, selective, and axial coding whereby data from different informants were triangulated. The findings suggested that the consolidated procurement of the national textbooks, which was conducted in three phases, namely planning, tendering, and contract delivery, involved several strategies and faced a number of challenges. Studies on and practice of consolidated procurement of goods/services in Indonesia remain limited. Therefore, this article is expected to serve as a reference for future studies and for practitioners/government who wish to conduct consolidated procurement. Keywords— Consolidated procurement, Challange of consolidated procurement, Advantage of consolidated procurement, national textbooks, procurement of goods/services in Indonesia,
