Abstract

Abstract- In the recent years, fashion brands and retailers in the West have introduced supplier’s codes of conduct to strengthen international labour standards in their supply chain. Village funds have been allocated since 2015, and increase overtime. In 2015, the allocation of village funds amounting to Rp.28.8 trillion increased to reach Rp60 trillion in 2018. Village funds were used to finance government administration, implementation of development, community development, and community empowerment. This research uses the difference-in-difference (DID) which is adapted to continuous treatment method to analyze the impact of village funds on the work of rural communities. The analysis uses "repeated" cross section data from SUSENAS 2012-2017. We found that an increase in village fund per capita was more likely to raise the labor hours in agriculture and service industries, primarily on non-Java islands. The recommendation of this study is the need for regulation to standardize the proportion of village funds allocation based on the demographic (or number of poor people) and geographical (land area) conditions of the regions. Moreover, increasing the effectiveness of organizational management can be implemented by increasing the capacity of village officials.

Abstract

Abstract— The subject area of the research work, which determined the key aspects of its meaningful content, was the algorithms for the analytical diagnosis of indicators of Supply Chain Management (SCM) characteristic for the companies operating in the oil sector of the world economy. A generalization of the terms of the methodological tools for conducting a retrospective assessment of the studied indicator formed the basis for the argumentation in favour of the benefits of using the deterministic factor analysis model. They are caused by the possibility of a substantive economic interpretation of the factorial features included in its structure and reflecting changes in the results of operating and financial activities of corporations, as well as the pronounced relationship of the formalized algorithm used in the work with the format for disclosing financial indicators in the public reporting of the economic entities. The composition of factorial features formalized in the content of the mathematical model included the indicator of sales profitability for operating activities, the indicator of total assets turnover, the amount of financial leverage, the effect of financial transactions, and the levels of credit and tax burden of a company. Analytical processing of the results implied the integration of the results obtained for the dynamic assessment of supply chain management in the context of economic diagnostics, as well as the study of the homogeneity of cause-effect relationships for the dynamics of the analysed indicator under the influence of eliminated factors of the model when companies of one type of economic activity belong to different national economic systems.

Abstract

There is a paradox that Vietnam is becoming the leading country in the Southeast Asia region in terms of low-cost advantages. However, the logistics industry in Vietnam is not in this trend, because its costs are being evaluated as very high compared to other countries. Over the years, there have very few empirical studies focusing on this issue. In addition, the costs of logistics services are very diverse, but there is a lack of studies to assess these costs as a whole. Therefore, this paper aims to fill the mentioned research gaps by assessing the existing costs of logistics services in Vietnam. To accomplish this goal, the paper uses the concept of the logistics value chain (LVC) to systematically arrange costs and the Fuzzy-AHP (FAHP) method to measure the extent of the costs arising in the LVC. Based on the existing literature, four main costs and 14 sub-costs are selected to build the research model and questionnaire. A total of 20 experts are invited to participate in a face-to-face interview to evaluate the costs based on the pairwise comparison matrix. The findings show that costs incurred in the LVC are considered to be high in all four stages, of which procurement costs (C1) and production costs (C2) are the most concerns and need to be handled, while storage costs (C3) and transportation costs (C4) should be gradually improved in order to enhance the competitiveness of the logistics industry in Vietnam.Overall, the paper has contributed to supplementing the literature in the given field in terms of cost assessment in the LVC. Besides, the findings are also valuable references for managers to cut the logistics costs throughout the LVC.

Abstract

Abstract—Traditional supply chains rely on banks to support the related financing activities and services. With the emergence of blockchain technology, more and more companies in different industries have considered using it to support supply chain finance. Despite the very high interest from international and national financial institutions, and also enterprises from the real sector of the economy demonstrated in the distributed data storage technology, studies on the problems of assessing the use of the supply chain platform potential in the socioeconomic environment, and their theoretical understanding can be met vary rarely. As a rule, existing works reveal either the technical side of the object of study, or the regulatory or legal aspects of the applicability of supply chain technologies in the national economy. This paper attempts to overcome this conditional vacuum of understanding in order to make up for conditions with questions revealing other aspects of the subject of research, for example, such as the economic and social effects of introducing blockchain technologies into the activities of business entities. The banking sector of the national economy of the Russian Federation was chosen as the object of research. The research subject is the relationship built between participants in the financial market on the basis of supply chain technologies and the resulting effects expressed in the potential to reduce the credit risks of banks due to non-fulfilment, untimely or incomplete fulfilment of financial obligations by debtors. In the course of the study, the main directions that reduce the risks under consideration as a result of minimizing opportunistic models of behavior are substantiated and possible economic effects for the Russian banking system as a result of the use of blockchain technologies are identified. The opportunities for supply chain finance offered by possible applications of blockchain technologies in the supply chain and the capacity of this technology to deal with the existing barriers and pain points. The most important result of the work is the developed algorithm for determining the parameters for reducing the credit risk capital for as a result of the penetration of supply chain technologies into the banking environment.

Abstract

Abstract- The article is devoted to the study of the activities of Zemstvo institutions for the development of supply chain infrastructure in the XIX-early XX centuries; identification of the role of the Zemstvo reform in the formation of supply chain infrastructure at the local level. Supply Chain infrastructure provides the means for chain economic entities and firms sharing a common interest to participate in a mutual exchange. Despite the fact that the provision of supply chain services was not among the priorities of the Zemstvos, significant results were achieved. The retrospective analysis allowed us to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the Zemstvo self-government system. The comparative method helped to identify trends in the financial and economic support of Zemstvo bodies at various stages of the Zemstvo reform, and to analyze key indicators of supply chain infrastructure development. It is concluded that the success of the Zemstvo self-government bodies in the development of supply chain infrastructure was due to the availability of significant organizational resources, ensuring sustainable interaction of Zemstvos with the population, active support for local initiatives and the formation of a system of public control. The authors note that the experience of implementing the principle of consolidation of the main directions of management activities for the development of supply chain infrastructure, formed by local authorities, can be in demand in modern conditions and adapted to the current system of local government in Russia for economy efficiency.

Abstract

Abstract— The main objective of this paper is to investigate the digitalization and technologies impact on supply chain management of agricultural industry.  This paper provides practical examples of supply chain digitalization, as well as its socio-economic and environmental effects. The absence of processes that are compatible with the high production requirements adopted in foreign markets can lead to crisis phenomena in domestic industries with high potential and rapid growth dynamics in agriculture industry. Agriculture in Russia is an integral part of the agro-industrial complex, and the program “Digitalization of its supply chain” should provide participants with the opportunity to use broadband, mobile, LPWAN communications, information technologies (small and big data, management platforms, etc.) of the domestic instrument industry (tags, controllers, sensors, control units) to improve significantly the efficiency of agriculture. The opportunities for modernizing the industry are huge. Food security of the country and the development of export potential, turn agriculture into a high-tech industry that can not only provide food for itself, but also many countries of the world through the global supply chain system, as well as create opportunities for the introduction of new innovative developments that have not exist before, stimulate management decisions that can provide the population with high-quality and safe products. According to expert estimates, during the season, the farmer has to make more than 40 different decisions in limited time intervals. Many of these solutions, which affect directly the production economy, are objects of digitalization in supply chain.
