The study has planned to examine the impact of the supply chain business intelligence on the supply chain performance of the Indonesian firms. Additionally, the study has examined the mediating role of agile capability and supply chain capability. For data gathering, total 450 questionnaires were distributed and obtained only 325 questionnaires. During data screening process 23 questionnaires were excluded, since they were incomplete. Therefore, we obtained 67% response rate for the survey in present study. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is an important statistical procedure to carry out multivariate data analysis, Empirical analysis in this study supports the supply chain business intelligence competence with respect to technical, cultural and managerial competence. This indicates that it is necessary to utilize appropriate technologies and tools and have well-defined processes, although these are not sufficient conditions to develop business intelligence product efficiently and effectively, such as, relevant knowledge and information which facilitate in the decision-making functions of the supply chain. Besides, some inter- and intra-organizational culture elements also affect the business intelligence product creation. The prior research further supported the significance of knowledge/information-related competences to enhance agile performance characteristics and competitive performance of the supply chain.

In recent years, the topics of urban logistics and consumer behavior have attracted considerable interest from researchers and practitioners. As cities rapidly urbanize and customer service expectations increase, the corpus of research on these topics has become fragmented. The problems of urban logistics have become a widespread area for supply chain companies, due to the growth of e-commerce which allows consumers to design personalized packages, at the location of their choice. This means that consumers can both set the quality standards for delivery and control the performance of e-commerce. The aim of this article is to answer the following questions: (1) How are new consumption patterns changing the logistical pattern of cities? (2) How does e-commerce delivery relate to the final customer? This will give practitioners and researchers an overview of recent theoretical approaches in order to analyze the development of the discipline and provide directions for future research.

Abstract— The great majority of companies' supply chains span multiple countries, cultures, and industries. However people in different parts of the globe perceive supply chain risks differently. The research is intended to identify patterns of the socio-economic situation and the characteristics of the development of the demographic situation in the economic system through supply chain strategies, as well as present the factors of ensuring demographic in the industries development. Various methods of statistical, economic-mathematical, and sociological analysis were used in the study. The main trends in migration processes and patterns of development of the demographic situation in the world, country, and economic situations were identified. The dynamics of the Gross domestic product (GDP) of Russia was analyzed as well. The results of a retrospective analysis of population dynamics, changes in Gross domestic product depending on the population are shown. The relationship between the demographic and supply chain strategies of the state and its economic and political security is revealed. The analysis shows that there are indeed demographic factors that can help predict how people manage supply chain risk. The results obtained during the study can serve as the basis for the development of more advanced socio-economic policies both at the regional and interregional levels of economic development through supply chain strategies, which one of the main factor in supply chain is population.

This research aims to explore the possible benefits of regional government supply chain management information towards decision making in regional election (“Pilkada”) in Indonesia. This research is important due to the rarity of researches that discuss the empirical and theoretical proofs of people’s needs towards government Supply chain management information. By using data from 2017 and 2018 regional election in Indonesia, I observed 198 regional governments at province/regency/city level. These sampled regions were chosen by deciding if the regional heads went to run for a second term. This decision was intended to evaluate the success of public policies applied in the first terms, which should be reflected in the regions’ government Supply chain management information that could be used by customers to consider if the ruling government (the incumbents) should be upheld or replaced. By using cluster analysis, I grouped the sampled regions into several clusters based on sociodemographic similarities. Then, I used discriminant analysis towards these clusters and found that regional government Supply chain management information has strong discriminant values towards regional election results. This research proves that customers have good awareness towards Supply chain management information involved in decision making. The implication of this research shows the existence of customers’ needs and interests towards regional government supply chain management information in regional election, thus regional government should improve the quality of supply chain management information and information dissemination, while also make sure that supply chain management information reaches and is reachable the whole society through vast publication and education.

Abstract- WHO has deemed the Covid-19 pandemic to be a regional outbreak, Indonesia is one of the pandemic nations. This paper seeks to see the capacity of the world to cope with the global pandemic and the provision of resources through the supply chain policy. Here, we analyse the supply-chain effects of a set of idealized lockdown scenarios, using the latest global trade modelling framework. We find that supply-chain losses that are related to initial COVID-19 lockdowns are largely dependent on the number of countries imposing restrictions and that losses are more sensitive to the duration of a lockdown than its strictness. There are three essential topics in this paper: 1) the sense of urgency; 2) the national government's legislative and structural supply chain policy’s; and 3) the pandemic regional headquarters. The data collection is carried out through scientific journals, online news, reports, and academic forums with public policy and health experts. The findings of this paper indicate that Indonesia is still in difficulty in coping with a global pandemic in the context of the international crisis. Likewise, at the beginning of the outbreak in Indonesia, the system of contact between central and regional representatives seems to be not well organized.

Despite the data driven supply chain (DDSC) significance, the extant researches have a limited attention on how the DDSC effects to supply chain capabilities (SCC) to enhance the business performance (BP). Based on this gap, the main objective of the study is to investigate how DDSC effect to BP through the SCC in the manufacturing industries of the Indonesia. To achieve this objective, data has been collected from the 600 supply chain managers who were working in the food industry of Indonesia by using a simple random sampling technique which yield a 55% response rate. To analyze the results Smart PLS 3 software and structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed. The SEM findings has shown that in the direct effect DDSC has a significant and positive association with the BP, DDSC also have a significant and positive association with the SCC and SCC also has a positive and significant association with the BP. On the other hand, the indirect effect also shows that SCC is partially mediates in the relationship of DDSC and BP of the manufacturing industry of Indonesia. These findings show that SCC is considered to be a significant mediator in the relationship of DDSC and BP. Based on these findings, it could be considered that SCC is an important contribution which added a body of literature in the extant empirical studies. The findings of the current study could also be helped to supply chain managers to provide guideline to the supply chain mangers to know about the importance of the DDSC to increase the BP of the organization. The research limitations and future directions of the study also explained at the end of the study.

This study aims to explore the Educational Supply Chain Management System existing in the case faculty by using the sequential mixed methods (qualitative-quantitative). The use of mixed methods in this work not only captures the full picture of the comprehensive research results but also fills the gap in the existing literature. Purposive sampling method and simple random sampling method were used for selecting the participants. The target population involved academicians and management practitioners. The number of participants for qualitative was 48 and 50 respondents for the quantitative method. A semi-structured interview with at least 20 questions was used and 40 minutes was consumed on average per interview. Thematic analysis was employed for qualitative data analysis. Qualitative phase resulted in five primary activities involving input, operation, output, public relations, and services, and four supporting activities consisting of procurement, technology management, human resources, and infrastructure management (finance and student affairs). Based on these results, nine themes were developed to build quantitative instruments which included 38 Likert Scales questions. Pearson’s R-Table method was used for instrument validity test and Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was applied to test instrument reliability. The data from the respondents were analyzed by Percentage Analysis method. Measurement level of all indicators achieved over 65% and thus, nine supply chain functions (qualitative results) have firmly identified by quantitative method as the existing functions. Therefore, this research gives the sufficient research findings of how the Educational Supply Chain works in the educational institution.

The work performed by audit teams within different organizations has been improving over the years. Internal auditors are part of the central role in the process of providing assurance and preventing fraud within an organization. Additionally, independent internal audit personnel have the responsibility of ensuring that there is a proper audit practice that is found in the firm. This paper seeks to develop a balanced assessment approach to assess the performance of supply chain management which evaluates daily business operations in four areas: financial perspective (or shareholders), learning and growth, customers and in-company business processes. The appreciation of the duties that are performed by the internal audit teams are mainly due to the major function that they play, especially in initiating an enabling environment or financial and economic organizational support. The study sought to carry out an in-depth discussion on the independence and the overall burden of internal auditors that is related to the promotion of effective audit practices and mechanisms. Additionally, the researcher will carry out interviews to ascertain the independence of internal auditors and examine their role in promoting effective internal audit mechanisms. The researcher will carry out the research using very specific mode of statistical analysis. The researcher will carry out the analysis of the hypothesis in the analysis using the Chi-Square technique and the application of SPSS as a major statistical tool.

The study investigated the influence of procurement planning on procurement performance in Public Higher Education Institutions by focusing on UMI. The study was guided by the resource-based view (RBV) theory and the European foundation for quality management model. In Uganda most government Institutions such as UMI have registered certain constraints in procurement performance and this could be a result of inadequate procurement planning on a timely basis as required by the PPDA Act 2003. The objectives of the study were: to find out the relationship between procurement needs assessment and procurement performance, to examine the relationship between procurement budgeting and procurement performance and to analyze the relationship between information sharing and procurement performance at UMI. The study used the cross sectional research design. The sample size comprised of 119 stakeholders and the response rate was 63%. The information got from the data collection instrument was analyzed by the researcher and the findings of the study were: there is a strong positive relationship between needs assessment and procurement performance, there is a weak positive relationship between procurement budgeting and procurement performance and there is a fairly positive relationship between information sharing and procurement performance. It was concluded that there is a close relationship between Procurement planning and organizational performance of operations and projects of public Higher Education Institutions in Uganda. It was recommended that the PDU should always liaise with User Departments to ensure that they undertake a thorough needs assessment, the heads of departments should always ensure that they involve their subordinates in procurement budgeting and that the PDU should always avail the User Departments, with the right PPDA procedures and guidelines on procurement planning and budgeting.
