Abstract

Efforts to increase the growth and yield of soybean plants can be done through the use of cultivation technology,  namely  by  providing  biological  fertilizer  treatments  such   as  N-fixing  bacteria,  namely Rhizobium. The study aims to determine the effect of the right Rhizobium dose and type of NPK fertilizer on the growth of the Anjasmoro variety of soybean (Glycine max). This research uses a factorial randomized block design with two factors and three repetitions. The first factor is Rhizobium inoculation consisting of I0: No inoculum, I1: Rhizobium inoculum (5 g / kg seed), I2: Rhizobium inoculum (7 g / kg seed), I3: Rhizobium inoculum (9 g / kg seed). The second factor is the type of NPK fertilizer, namely P0: No fertilizer, P1: solid NPK fertilizer (0.8 g / plant), P2: liquid NPK fertilizer. The results showed that the dose of Rhizobium that could affect soybean growth was a dose of 9 grams/kg of seed that significantly affect ed the number of leaves and leaf color but did not significantly affect plant height, number of branches, number of root nodules and root nodules weight. NPK fertilizer that can affect soybean growth is liquid NPK fertilizer, and only has a significant effect on leaf color. The interaction of Rhizobium inoculation treatment and NPK fertilizer types significantly affected most parameters but did not significantly affect the number of branches and weight of root nodules.

Abstract

Tanaman pangan di Indonesia sangat beragam termasuk diantaranya padi, jagung dan ubi kayu. Namun lahan pertanian di Indonesia semakin sempit seiring dengan laju pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin tinggi. Lahan kering (sub optimal) di Indonesia masih banyak yang belum dimanfaatkan, yang sebenarnya bisa dioptimalkan sebagai lahan pertanian. Tanaman pangan yang memiliki tingkat ketahanan lebih tinggi terhadap lahan kering adalah tanaman ubi kayu, sehingga berpotensi untuk ditanam pada lahan kering. Tahap pertama pemuliaan tanaman ubi kayu adalah mengetahui karakterisasi gen pada tanaman tersebut salah satunya yaitu WIN1. Metode pertama yang dilakukan adalah isolasi DNA daun ubi kayu varietas Adira 1 dan Malang 6, kemudian amplifikasi dengan PCR, dan analisis sekuensing. Hasil menunjukkan tanaman ubi kayu Adira 1 memiliki asam amino yang sama dengan kultivar am560-2 yang terdapat pada GenBank, sedangkan pada varietas Malang 6 terdapat satu asam amino yang berbeda. Hal tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh adanya mutasi gen pada varietas ubi kayu serta perbedaan kandungan HCN pada ubi kayu pangan varietas Adira 1, dan ubi kayu industri varietas Malang 6.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an encyclopedia of biological laboratory equipment and to find out the feasibility of the encyclopedia of biological laboratory equipment developed as a biology learning resource for high school students. This study included research and development (R D) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) developed by Reiser and Mollenda in the 1990s. This research is limited only to the implementation stage (limited or small scale implementation), then limited testing is conducted to 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 2 biology teachers and 4 peer reviewers and 20 students' responses to the product developed to determine the quality/feasibility of the product. The research instrument was in the form of a check list questionnaire using a Likert scale. The design of this study uses a descriptive qualitative research design with the type of data in the form of qualitative and quantitative data to determine the quality/feasibility of the product being developed. the results showed that: encyclopedia products of biology laboratory equipment were developed with the ADDIE model. The quality/feasibility of the encyclopedia is developed based on the assessment of material experts with a percentage of 80% including the good category (B); media experts at 85.6% including the excellent category (SB); biology teachers at 91% including the excellent category (SB); peer reviewers at 86.8% including the excellent category (SB); and student responses of 87.6% included very feasible categories. Thus it can be concluded that the encyclopedia of biological laboratory equipment developed having very decent quality is used as a reference for teachers in biology laboratory as well as can be used by high school students as one of the learning resources of biology.

Abstract

Monitoring of the existence of the Javan Leopard (Panthera pardus melas) in the Nusakambangan Timur Nature Reserve, Cilacap Regency, has been carried out in July-November 2020. Monitoring is carried out using the method of collecting signs of animal presence and installing camera traps. Photos / videos caught on camera traps are counted on the encounter rate. The monitoring results obtained 97 videos which were divided into 6 videos of P.p. melas, 15 videos of wild boar (Sus scrofa), 1 video of mouse deer (Tragulus javanicus), 2 videos of mountain squirrels (Tupaia montana), 1 video of mice (Apodemus sp.) 20 videos of human activities, and 47 videos of non detection. The result of the Encounter Rate calculation shows the result of P.p. melas 4.44 / 100 days; wild boar 11.85 / 100 days; Squirrels 1.48 / 100 days; rats and mouse deer 0.74 / 100 days, respectively. Meanwhile, for the trail of P.p. melas found 2 impurities.

Abstract

Kehidupan manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dari lingkungannya. Ada tidaknya masalah lingkungan tergantung bagaimana sikap dan tanggung jawab manusia terhadap lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pengetahuan tentang pemanasan global terhadap perilaku peduli lingkungan sekitar, dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, UIN Walisongo. Diperoleh hasil bahwa pengetahuan pemanasan global tidak mempengaruhi secara signifikan perilaku peduli lingkungan sekitar. Pada umumnya perilaku peduli lingkungan sudah baik yaitu sebesar 62% dan pengetahuan tentang pemanasan global sudah cukup baik yaitu sekitar 75%. Dari analisis data diperoleh hasil perhitungan adalah r = 0,125 memberikan penafsiran bahwa tingkat pengaruh variabel sangat rendah. Kemudian diuji keberartian koefisien korelasinya dan didapat hasil berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh bahwa thitung = 0,896 untuk x dan y. Harga ini dikonsultasikan dengan dk = 52 dan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh ttabel= 2,009. Karena thitung ttabelmaka Ho diterima artinya tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang pemanasan global terhadap perilaku peduli lingkungan. Kemudian dihitung Koefisien Determinasi Pada Regresi Linier Sederhana. Didapat hasil bahwa Nilai koefisien determinasir2= 0,1252 = 0,016. Ini berarti bahwa pengaruh pengetahuan pemanasan global (X) terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan(Y) sebesar 1,6% terhadap perilaku peduli lingkungan. Selain dipengaruhi pengetahuan tentang pemanasan global juga dipengaruhi faktor lain  sebesar 98,4% yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Macaca fascicularis is one species of primate that easily adapts to various habitats, such as disturbances habitat, like a natural park. The conflict between M. fascicularis and human increases due to changes in ecology. In Borneo, Sumatra, Malaysia, Mauritus, and Thailand, M. fascicularis has become pests because destroyed orchards and plantations. Interaction between M. fascicularis and human, which occurred at several natural parks in Singapura and Kaliurang caused by M. fascicularis’s attraction to food brought by humans. This research aimed to study the interaction between M. fascicularis with the humans in Grojogan Sewu Natural Park (TWA GS) by direct observation and also an interview with visitors, workers, and villagers. Based on direct observation, frequency of affiliation interaction between humans and M. fascicularis (55.56%) is higher than agonistic interaction (44.4%). The dominant affiliation interaction was sitting nearby the visitors (42.96%); meanwhile, the most dominant agonistic interaction was stealing (54.12%) because the M. fascicularis attracted to food (67.02%). Workers reported having more nuisance problem with M. fascicularis than visitors and villagers. Almost all of the respondents thought that M. fascicularis needs to be kept alive in the park, and consider conservation and protection of the macaques are essential.

Abstract

Mount Ungaran has very varied vegetation which includes grass plants. The purpose of this study was to find out the types of Poaceae family grass found on the Mount Ungaran hiking path. This type of research is a qualitative research field. The object of the research is the types of grass belonging to the family Poaceae. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and characterization. The results of the study obtained 29 species from 23 genera.

Abstract

Budidaya tanaman cabai di Indonesia saat ini sangat bergantung terhadap penggunaan pestisida sintetik.  Pestisida sintetik sangat buruk terhadap kelestarian lingkungan seperti berkurangnya jumlah dan jenis musuh alami. Kondisi tersebut mendorong penemuan teknik pengendalian hama dan penyakit yang lebih ramah lingkungan seperti penggunaan refugia. Refugia yang sering digunakan adalah Zinnia sp. Namun morfologi Zinnia sp belum banyak diketahui terutama tentang penologi bunga sehingga sulit menentukan waktu penanaman yang tepat agar efektif dalam mengendalikan hama. Hal ini yang menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian penggunaan refugia Zinnia sp pada tanaman cabai.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penanaman refugia Zinnia sp sebanyak 20 tanaman di setiap pinggir bedengan. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan mengamati perkembangan bunga Zinnia sp setiap hari serta mengidentifikasi hama dan musuh alami.  Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diketahui serangga menyukai bunga Zinnia sp pada fase X sampai XII. Hama yang ditemukan pada lahan adalah orong-orong (Gryllotalpa sp.), lalat pengorok daun (Liriomyza sp.), kutu kebul (Aphis craccivora), trips (Thrips spp.), tungau (P. latus), lalat buah (Bactrocera spp.). Musuh alami  yang ditemukan pada lahan adalah Hemiptarsenus varicornis, Eriborus argenteopilosus, Menochilus sexmaculatus. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah Zinnia memiliki potensi yang tinggi untuk digunakan sebagai refugia dan penanaman Zinnia sp sebaiknya dilakukan satu bulan lebih awal dari penanaman cabai.

Abstract

Birds are living organisms classified into the Kingdom Animalia, phylum Aves and including organisms that possess similar characteristics with body cover in the form of feathers and can fly. The aim of this study was to determine the diversity of bird species found in Pasui Village, Buntu Batu District, Enrekang Regency. This research was conducted at Pasui watershed. Birdwatching is done by cruising method at three different stations. The results of this study found 14 bird species classified into 5 orders, 11 families and 13 genera. The bird species obtained are Haliastur indus, Collocalia esculenta, Egretta alba, Chalcophaps indica longirostris, Streptopelia chinensin, Corvus enca, Dicaeum aureolimbatum, Eruthrura hyperythra, Lonchura Malacca, Lonchura punctulata, Passer montanus, Pycnonotus aurigaster, Acridontheres javanicus, Zosterops pelpepbrosus.

Abstract

Traditional medicine is the local wisdom of the Indonesian people. The people of the Jaya Sakti area of Central Lampung use saliva as a medicine to heal minor wounds. This study aims to determine the potential use of saliva in healing minor wounds. This study uses the method of observing the community. The results showed that based on the percentage of data from field observations related to the use of saliva for minor injuries in communities around Jayasakti village, Anak Tuha District, Central Lampung Regency, it is known that most people have used saliva to treat minor wounds, while other communities have never used it. or seeing other people use saliva as a remedy for minor wounds. Based on the literature review, the content contained in saliva, especially histatin, plays a major role in improving wound healing by increasing the revitalization phase, especially through increasing keratinocyte migration and proliferation. Besides, people use saliva as a medicine to heal minor wounds because they follow the habits of people who have been passed down from generation to generation and already know the content of saliva that can heal minor wounds, namely histatin and alkaline acids. In conclusion, saliva is effective to use as a wound-healing drug because of the compounds contained in saliva and people's experiences when using it.
