Abstract

This classroom action research aims at improving: (1) the students’ competence of understanding regional geography subject, and (2) student interest in learning regional geography subject through discovery learning model with reading and completing basic map strategy. The research procedure consists of three cycles. Each cycle includes four phases; they are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject is students of IXB class. This class is selected because it lacks interest and competence in understanding regional geography learning compared to other classes. The result of the action research shows that the implementation of learning model with reading and completing basic map strategy can improve the interest and understanding competence of regional geography.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low of student learning activity in economic learning process, Thus causing student learning outcomes that have not been optimal. The purpose of this study is to describe the activity of teachers in implementing cooperative learning with cases study method with comic media, describing the activities of students in following the learning process using cooperative learning with cases study method with comic media, And describe student learning outcomes after applied cooperative learning with cases study method with comic media. Cooperative learning model of case study method with comercial media is learning which emphasizes on heterogeneity and cooperation among students. Students are given the opportunity to interact and work together by doing tasks in groups and then exchanging group members with other group members and returning to early group members in a pleasant atmosphere. This research was conducted in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Bancar. The subjects of this research is students of class X of the academic year 2016/2017, which amounted to 29 students, and who acted as observer in this reseacrh is Economics subject teachers and students of the education program of Economics class of 2013. Result of this research that the activity of teachers experienced an increase in the first cycle is 62.5%, the second cycle is 72.5%, and the third cycle is 88.75%. Student activity has increased that is in cycle I is 45,64%, cycle II equal to 63,7%, and cycle III equal to 83,36%. Student learning outcomes also experienced an increase that is in the first cycle of 41.37%, the second cycle of 58.62%, the third cycle of 79.31%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of learning cooperative learning method of case studies with comic media can increase the activity and learning outcomes of Economics subjects in the class X students in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Bancar 2016/2017 academic year.

Abstract

Materi operasi bentuk aljabar menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif kualitatif, bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa ditinjau dari kesalahan menyelesaikan soal operasi bentuk aljabar menurut Newman yang digolongkan menjadi enam tipe kesalahan, yaitu 1) Reading error, 2) Reading comprehension difficulty, Transform error, 4) Weakness in process skill, 5) Encoding Error, dan 6) Careless error. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan tes. Berdasarkan dokumen hasil tes siswa dan hasil wawancara, menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan mengerjakan tes karena: 1) siswa tidak teliti dalam memahami soal, 2) siswa tidak dapat membedakan suku-suku sejenis, 3) siswa tidak mahir dalam menyelesaikan operasikan bentuk aljabar, dan 4) siswa kesulitan menuliskan kalimat matematika dari soal cerita, dan 5) siswa tidak teliti dalam menyelesaikan soal. Solusi yang ditawarkan peneliti adalah dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah penyelesaiaan masalah dari Polya, yaitu 1) memahami masalah , 2) merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, 3) melaksanakan penyelesaian masalah, dan 4) memeriksa kembali.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the activities of students, teacher activities and learning outcomes of students of class V semester 2 in learning IPS in SDN Blawirejo Kecamatan Kedungpring Lamongan Year Lesson 2016/2017. In addition, this research is also to know the Application of Interactive Visual Media with STAD Cooperative Model to improve the learning result of IPS Material of Struggle Against Colonial Class V SDN Blawirejo Kecamatan Kedungpring Lamongan District Lesson Year 2016/2017. The result of this research is student activity on cycle I student activity is in enough category with average percentage overall 17,93%. Student activity on the implementation of learning cycle II has increased as much as 11.2%, is in the active category with an overall average percentage of 29.13%. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle average student learning outcomes of 69.5 with the percentage of classical learning completeness 50% with less category, then on the second cycle average student learning outcomes 81.2 with the percentage of learning completeness classical 80% with very category both experienced an increase of 30%. This indicates that this research has succeeded, because the evaluation result has fulfilled the KKM which has been determined.

Abstract

Instructions lab at the high school level (school SMA) on the subject of biotechnology is one of the practical guide developed by using other organisms to produce a new product that can be useful for daily life hari.Masalah in this study, namely how the compounds exist in peanut skin, and how the process of making aromatic oil from peanut skin waste?. This type of research is experimental. From the third experiment result using ethanol blend, groundnut peanut powder, and aquades with 50 ml: 5 gr: 50 ml, gives the desired result of producing aromatic oil.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes, teacher activities, and student activities and student’s responses to science learning using CTL model with natural media in class V SDN Gunungrejo 1. The results showed that the learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average score of 70.5, cycle II 76.4, cycle III 83. Percentage mastery learning cycle I was 43%, cycle II 81%, and 95% 95% cycle. Presentation of teacher activity in cycle I 65%, cycle II 76%, and cycle III 83%. Presentation of student activity in cycle I 61%, cycle II 70%, and cycle III 83%, and students respond positively to science learning using CTL model with natural media. This is proven by the percentage obtained that many students who answered "yes" amounted to 87.6%. Thus, the use of CTL model can improve student's learning result, teacher activity, and student activity.

Abstract

Permasalahan pokok yang terjadi di SDN 1 Buluroto adalah hasil belajar siswa yang relatif masih rendah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, nilai rata- rata ulangan harian matematika 68,56, dengan ketuntasan KKM 42%. Proses pembelajaran matematika masih satu arah, membuat siswa merasa bosan, sehingga pembelajaran tidak menarik minat siswa dan berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa. Salah satu alternatif memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah menggunakan model Think-Pairs-Share (TPS) dengan media kertas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan model pembelajaran TPS dengan media kertas untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika, mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran TPS dengan media kertas, dan mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran TPS dengan media kertas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pada siklus I, II, dan III sebesar (68,68; 72 dan 77,93). Jadi ada peningkatan pada siklus II dan III sebesar (3,32 dan 5,96) dengan hasil ketuntasan belajar klasikal siklus I, II, dan III masing-masing sebesar 43,75% dan 62,5%, dan 93,75%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through Jigsaw Type Co-operative Model on Class XII Classroom materials at SMK Negeri Widang Pelajar 2017/2018. This type of research is a class action research of cycle model. The subjects of the study were students of Class XII TKR-2 of 31 people. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. The result of the research was the result of increasing mathematics learning through Jigsaw Type Co-operative learning model in Class XII TKR-2 SMK Negeri Widang, the competency standard determine the circle part and its size. The first cycle, the average mathematics learning outcomes in the sufficient category (67.27), but has not reached the learning completeness set. The second cycle, the average mathematics learning outcomes increased to either category (80.45) and has reached the learning completeness criteria.

Abstract

The moral crisis that plagued some teenagers today, is one result of global developments and the progress of science and technology that is not matched by moral progress morals. The behavior of adolescents who tend to be irritable, lack of respect for the elderly, being rude, lacking discipline in worship, being a drug user, falling into free sex behavior and other deviant behavior has plagued most teenagers. Often also we hear, even long ago, the behavior of school-age children such as brawl between students, drinking, sexual harassment or rape, gank motor, primary or secondary school students commit suicide just for trivial reasons, low respect students to parents or teachers, memalak money his own friends and many more that all is a mirror of morals that have been not commendable to the students (students).

Abstract

Literasi be one benchmark to determine the quality of education and human resources of a country. Indonesia compared to other Asian countries is included in the sequence below related to literacy. Accordingly, one of the primary schools in Tuban Regency, SDN Sidorejo I has low literacy skills. This is obtained from the result of literacy ability on prasiklus with an average of 13.5. The study aimed to improve literacy ability with tree literasi. Literature tree is chosen because it can build the creativity of learners that includes the power of thought and creativity, and motivate students to always read. In addition, the literacy tree is very simple and easy to implement. Literate trees are expected to improve the literacy ability of learners. This research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four phases of activity: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subjects were students of class I SDN Sidorejo I Tuban Semester II Academic Year of 2017/2018. The instruments used in the research are syllabus, learning implementation plan, observation sheet, and literacy skill test. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the literacy of students in grade I SDN Sidorejo I Tuban has increased with the media literasi tree. In prasiklus, participants' literacy skills are said to have a low category with an average of 13.5. In cycle I, literacy ability of participants is said to have low category with average is 39,2. In cycle II, literacy ability of participants is said to have medium category with average is 55.
