Abstract

Based on observations in mind that science learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Rengel IV is still low. It is caused by several factors, one of which is a learning process. In the process of learning a lot of students who do not pay attention to the teacher's explanations, the students motivation to learn is still low, and students are not involved in finding a concept. Therefore, the researcher applied the outdoor study method to solve the problem. The purpose of this study was to determine improving student learning outcomes and student response to the outdoor study method. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which each cycle consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Instruments used in the study were test sheet of learning outcome and questionnaire responses. The data of student learning outcomes was analyzed as the student classical completeness. The results showed that after learning by using outdoor study methode, the classical completeness of student increased from 42% to 86% and the students gave positive responses.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process in the classroom is important to determine of the quality of education in producing good graduation that can be used as an indicator of educational success. The teaching and learning process should consider various factors that support, and able to accommodate diversity of the student's ability, potential areas, the quality of the resources, facilities and infrastructure of learning and economic. The study aims to determine the economic improvement of learning outcomes by using Learning Model Card Sort, skill of teachers to manage learning / teacher activity, student activity, after learning with Learning Model Application Card Sort. Subjects were students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah Lamongan 09 Brondong academic year 2014/2015. This research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of 2 cycles. Data collection techniques used observation to describe the activities of students and teachers in the Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM), the test to determine student learning outcomes. Based on the analysis of data obtained in the application of learning models Card sort that the average activities of teachers in cycle 1 was 95% with an effective category. While on the second cycle increased to 98.75% with an effective category. And the activities of students in cycle 1 reached an average of 93.75% in the active category. While on the second cycle of student activity increased to 97.5% in the active category. The results of learning students in the use of learning model Card Sort increased, it can be seen from the test results in cycle 1 reached a level of completeness 75% of the total number of students by 30 students in cycle 2 level of completeness of students increased to 92.33% of the total number of students totaling 30 students. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the activities of students and teachers in the application of learning models Card Sort categorized succeed. The results of learning students have been achieved with a percentage of 92.33%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of ability to think creatively mathematics vocational students. As an alternative solution are teaching students with learning Treffinger with metacognitive strategies. This study aimed to test: 1) whether there is a significant difference in average ability to think creatively math class X SMK PGRI 2 Tuban in the academic year 2015/2016 the students that learned by learning Treffinger with metacognitive strategies with students that learned with conventional study; 2) learning is more effective to improve the ability to think creatively math class X SMK PGRI 2 Tuban 2015/2016 academic year among the students that learned by learning Treffinger with metacognitive strategies with students that learned with conventional learning? This type of research is an experimental research with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study are students of class X SMK PGRI 2 Tuban in the academic year 2015/2016. The instrument used was a test of creative thinking ability in mathematics. To analyze the data in this study used the t test. The results of the study concluded that there was a statistically significant difference in average ability to think creatively math class X SMK PGRI 2 Tuban in the academic year 2015/2016 the students that learned by learning Treffinger with metacognitive strategies with students that learned with conventional learning.

Abstract

PAIKEM is active, inspirational/Interactive/Innovative, Critical/Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning. PAIKEM based learning helps students develop the ability to think high stage, critical thinking and creative thinking (critical and creative thinking). Collaborative learning involves a combination of hard work or intellectual effort by students working in groups to get a sense, the solution, meaning or create a product, and the overall exploration centered on the student and not the teacher's explanation is simple or detailed. By using collaborative learning, implementation PAIKEM as expected by teachers and public education will be realized and seen the results during the learning process takes place and when the student has been implementing the learning, it will appear on the behavior of students everyday when they exist in the school environment , families and communities, the students are critical, creative, active, interactive, innovative, and able to cooperate with anyone.

Abstract

Results Preliminary observations indicate that learning in TK Tunas Harapan Brondong District of Lamongan is often less appealing to children. There are some things that cause this, including the presentation of a monotonous activities and media which are used as props less varied. activities to learn to count only use media board and fingers only. This greatly affects the poor performance beginning child to learn to count. Of the 22 children only 6 children who are already able to count some others still need the guidance of a teacher.This study aims to: 1) Describe the implementation of stick figures playing in efforts to improve the numeracy skills of children in group A at the beginning of TK Tunas Harapan Brondong District of Lamongan. 2) To describe the resulting increase in numeracy starters through play activities of children in group A stick figure in Subdistrict Brondong TK Tunas Harapan Lamongan.This research uses Action Research (PTK). Class action research model used is the model Kemmis and Mc Taggart, Kurt Lewin model development. Implemented through two cycles of action. Numeracy starters were developed in this study: (1) Referring to the order of objects to numbers 1-10 (2) Mention the epitome of numbers 1-10 (3) Sort emblem numbers 1-10. (4) Pair emblem with the number of objects up to 10. (5) Summing up the results of 10 numbers. The results showed that the action through play activities undertaken science can improve cognitive abilities in the first cycle increased by 27% to 54%, and in the second cycle increased again by 37% to 91%. Of the overall increase in numeracy before action until the beginning of the second cycle of 64%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi proses koneksi matematika siswa SMP Negeri 5 Tuban yang memiliki gaya kognitif impulsif dalam memecahkan masalah. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian bersifat kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah dua siswa dari 34 siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui, MFFT, tes koneksi matematika dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah proses koneksi matematika siswa SMP Negeri 5 Tuban yang memiliki gaya kognitif impulsif dalam memecahkan masalah mempunyai karakteristik kurang cermat dalam mengerjakan soal. Siswa impulsif membutuhkan waktu relatif lebih singkat dalam menyelesaikan soal. Mereka cenderung langsung mengerjakan tanpa banyak pertimbangan, tidak melalui tahap merencanakan penyelesaian, buram perhitungan yang cenderung hanya sedikit, serta enggan memeriksa kembali penyelesaian yang telah ditemukan.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of scaffolding talks used by English teachers in teaching speaking to facilitate learning. Through scaffolding talks the teacher facilitate the transformation of skills and knowledge of the target language in classroom interaction. The problems of this study are: (1) What kinds of scaffolding talks are produced by the teacher in teaching speaking at the Eleventh Grade of SMK Negeri 2 Tuban?, (2) What types of speech functions are performed by the teacher in her scaffolding talks at the Eleventh Grade of SMK Negeri 2 Tuban?, (3) What are the reasons of the teacher in using scaffolding talks in teaching speaking at the Eleventh Grade of SMK Negeri 2 Tuban? The purposes of this study are to identify the teacher’s scaffolding talks in teaching speaking, to describe the types of speech functions in her scaffolding talks, and to know the reasons of the teacher in using scaffolding talks in teaching speaking. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study was one English teacher teaching at the eleventh grade of SMK Negeri 2 Tuban. The data were the teacher’s scaffolding talks in teaching speaking from the classroom interaction in the Eleventh grade of SMK Negeri 2 Tuban in the academic year 2014/2015. The sources of data are the English teacher’s utterances during teaching and learning process and the result of interview. The teacher was observed two times in two different classes and interviewed to ask the reasons of using scafolding talks. The result of the study showed that there were 282 utterances identified as teacher’s scaffolding talks in her teaching and learning process. There are 10 kinds of teacher scaffolding talks. There are modeling, directing, reviewing, explaining, inviting student participant, basic question, advanced question, clarifying student understanding, development student understanding, and reinforcing. From those finding the most dominant was inviting student participant 40 (14.18%). Moreover, the finding also showed the speech functions in her scaffolding talks are Statement, Command and Question. The most dominant is Question 152 (53.9%) and the rarely used is Command 28 (9.93%). The teacher used scaffolding talks with some reasons. The first is to improve her teaching skill, second is to help her students to understand the materials, and the last one to check her students’ understanding by offering a variety of question types that promote higher-order thinking skills throughout the lesson.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing social skills for children with special needs in order to be able to interact with others in socially acceptable ways and bring benefits for themselves and others. The purpose of the research is to develop the social skills of the children with special needs through the method of playing cooperatively in the ECD institutions that organize inclusive education. The research approach used is quantitative with quasi experimental research type with nonrandomized design pretest-posttest control group design. Methods of collecting social skills data using observational checklists and rating scales referring to the Guttman scale. ABK's social skills are measured using 5 (five) dimensions of Caldarella and Merrel that are relationships with peers, self-management, academic ability, compliance, and assertive behavior. Before the data analysis is done the validity test and relay test first. Test Validity based on judgment expert, while Test reliability using Cronbach's Alpha with SPSS 22.00. Analysis of previous social skill data should be tested for normality by using one sample kolmogorov-smirnov test and homogeneity test by conducting F test. Hypothesis testing is performed after the two data tests yield normal and homogeneous distributed data, then the data is analyzed by using independent sample t-test .

Abstract

This paper presents a review of research that investigates the problem and analyzes errors of basic translation in English to the students of the Economic and Accounting Education Study Program of PGRI Ronggolawe University (UNIROW) Tuban. The purpose of this study is to identify factors for achieving the most basic level of English Translation. The main focus of this study is to examine why students appear to be unable to achieve basic level English translation even after more than 8 years of learning English (after learning English from elementary, junior and senior high school.) The purpose of the study is to describe the mistakes in the translation of the basic of the Indonesian language into English by giving a test on the students of the study program.

Abstract

Dalam menyiapkan generasi emas 2045, pembelajaran dengan konsep kurikulum 2013 sebagaimana dituangkan dalam permendikbud Nomor 81 A, bahwa didalam pembelajaran, peserta didik mengkronstruksi pengetahuan bagi dirinya. Sasaran pembelajaran mencakup pengembangan ranah sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Ketiga ranah tersebut dikembangkan melalui pendekatan saintifik yang didalamnya terdapat lima pengalaman belajar yakni, mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi dan mengkomunikasi. Dalam mengembangkan kompetensi peserta didik untuk dipersiapkan menuju generasi emas, penulis telah mencoba menyusun karya inovatif berupa media pembelajaran matematika, yang didalamnya mengaitkan topik Hubungan Sudut Pusat dan Sudut Keliling untuk mengembangkan kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. Media pembelajaran yang dimaksud berupa Bahan Praktik yang disertai media bantu mengajar berupa bahan presentasi power point makro enable (Power Point 2010 dan plug in flash player) untuk memperkuat dan memperjelas konsep . Dari hasil aplikasi dan implementasi karya inovatif yang telah disusun ini dapat disimpulkan terjadi peningkatan/perkembangan kompetensi sikap rasa ingin tahu, percaya diri, bertanggung jawab dan berani presentasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kompetensi Sikap sebelumnya 2.30 menjadi 3.30 , kompetensi pengetahuan bahwa sebelum implementasi nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan mencapai 67 atau 2.69 (cukup), sedangkan setelah implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan karya inovasi ini meningkat menjadi 93 atau 3.7 ( sangat Baik) . Sehingga dapat dianalisa bahwa nilai pengetahuan meningkat 38% . Kompetensi keterampilan dapat muncul setelah diimplementasikan karya inovasi ini. Disarankan sebagai guru diharapkan inovatif agar dapat menciptakan generasi yang kreatif sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional yang diamanatkan dalam UU Nomor 20 Tahun 2003
