Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop practical instructions based on problem based learning, on the topic of environmental pollution. This type of research is development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This research was only carried out until the development stage. The instrument to measure validation is in the form of a questionnaire which will be validated by the validator. The validation questionnaire is filled in by three validators. Validation results were analyzed using validity techniques. The results of the research show that the validity of practical instructions based on Problem Based Learning from the material aspect obtained an average score of 84.75% with a valid category, from the language aspect obtained an average score of 82.85% with a valid category, and from the graphic aspect obtained a score of 80. 32% with valid category. The overall validity score of the practical instructions developed was 82.64% in the valid category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the biology practicum guide based on problem based learning on environmental pollution material that was developed has met the validity criteria.

Abstract

This development study uses a qualitative approach and Didactic Engineering (DE) research methods. The aim of this research is to develop an AI-based learning model by combining discovery and problem based learning models involving mathematics students at PGRI Ronggolawe University, Tuban. AI or artificial intelligence is a tool that needs to be optimized in various fields, especially in the field of mathematics education. Meanwhile, mathematics education has issues related to problem solving on discrete mathematics topics. Starting from this issue, this research tries to offer a solution, the result of which is an AI-assisted blended learning model to improve combinatorial thinking. Through the combination of these models, a combination of syntax is obtained, namely: (1) Orientation; (2) Organization; (3) Exploration; (4) Execution; (5) Evaluation; (6) Generalization. This combination also considers the methods used, namely online and offline. Stages (1) and (2) are carried out offline via the LMS and quiz provider application. Meanwhile, Stages (3) and (4) were carried out involving Question AI. Stage (3) is carried out with the Geogebra alternative auxiliary application. Then stages (4) and (5) are carried out using technology-assisted presentations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication skills of teachers and students in the subject of Social Studies (IPAS) using flipbook media in fourth-grade at SDN Jegulo 1. Effective communication skills among teachers in delivering complex IPAS concepts such as changes in substance and form are crucial for enhancing student comprehension. The research employs a qualitative approach with direct observation and in-depth interviews with IPAS teachers and students involved in the use of flipbook media. Data collected are analyzed to evaluate how flipbook media influences communicative interactions between teachers and students, as well as its impact on student understanding of IPAS content. Findings indicate that the use of flipbook media positively affects teachers' communication skills in presenting IPAS concepts visually and engagingly. Furthermore, this media enhances active student participation in the learning process by providing opportunities for creative interaction and responsiveness to the presented materials. In conclusion, integrating flipbook media in IPAS education at SDN Jegulo 1 effectively enhances communication skills from both teacher and student perspectives. This study recommends further development in utilizing visual media in teaching to support more dynamic and interactive learning environments in the future. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the differences in learning media used in the 1994 and 1999 Curriculum, with a focus on their characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. This research uses a qualitative approach using content analysis of official curriculum documents, scientific literature and supporting sources. The research findings reveal that the 1994 Curriculum relies on conventional learning media such as textbooks and simple visual aids, which are standardized but lack interactivity. In contrast, the 1999 Curriculum introduces a student-centered approach with the use of basic multimedia and group activities that enhance student participation and critical thinking. However, the implementation of learning media in the 1999 Curriculum faces challenges such as limited access to technology and teacher readiness. This research concludes that future curriculum development must integrate the strengths of both curricula to create balanced, innovative and responsive learning media that responds to the educational needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

This research aims to implement monopoly game learning media on the material of applying Pancasila values ​​in increasing interest in learning. Class 5B students at Anak Saleh Elementary School. The method used is research and development (R&D). The R&D development model is the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of this research show that students in class 5B have high interest in learning as seen from the students' activeness in playing, the students' activeness in answering questions, the cooperation carried out to answer questions so that they better understand the application of Pancasila values ​​in everyday life through this game

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving sixth-grade students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research was conducted using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method over three cycles, which included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 30 sixth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3 Tuban. Data were collected through achievement tests and student activity observation sheets. The findings indicate a significant improvement in student performance, as evidenced by the increase in average scores from 55.56 in the pre-cycle to 85.56 in the second cycle, with a mastery level reaching 96.67%. These results demonstrate that the TaRL approach is effective in addressing learning disparities among students in heterogeneous classrooms

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) as a learning media to enhance students' understanding in the course of Basic Concepts of Social Sciences (IPS) at Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe. This study employs a Pre-test Post-test One-Group model and involves 45 students from the PGSD2024 class X. The results show that students achieved significantly higher comprehension scores after using VR media; the average post-test score (75.20) was higher than the pre-test score (67.84). The results and discussion indicate a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test (p = 0.001), suggesting that Virtual Reality provides benefits for improving the understanding of basic IPS concepts. These findings support the use of VR technology as an innovative tool for interactive and in-depth learning..

Abstract

This paper discusses the results of an analysis of the difficulties faced by mathematics education students in understanding Calculus I. Several factors were identified as the main causes of these difficulties, including abstract concepts in calculus, such as limits, derivatives, and integrals, which are difficult for students to understand. In addition, conventional teaching methods were also considered ineffective in helping students understand the material well. To address this issue, the use of visual media, technology, and more interactive learning approaches is recommended as a solution to enhance students' understanding. Internal factors, such as students' self-confidence, also influence the difficulties they experience. As a solution, the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) approach is expected to help students develop critical and creative thinking skills, thereby improving their understanding of calculus material.
