Abstract

Based on observations in mind that science literacy ability of fifth grade students at SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban is still low. It is caused by several factors, one of which is a learning process. In the process of learning a lot of students who do not pay attention to the teacher's explanations, the students motivation to learn is still low, and students are not involved in finding a concept. Therefore, the researcher applied the inquiry learning to solve the problem. The purpose of this study was to determine improving student science literacy ability. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which each cycle consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Instruments used in the study were test sheet of science literacy ability. The data of science literacy ability was analyzed as a percentage. The results showed that after learning by using inquiry learning, the science literacy ability of student increased on all of indicator science literacy ability.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to know the student's response after implementing scientific literacy through problem based learning and its influence on students' scientific literacy ability. This study used the classroom action research formed by Kemmis & Taggart. Implementation problem based learning was conducted to fifth grade SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban in the academic year 2017/2018. Scientific literacy through problem based learning received good response from students, its above 80% consists of language, graphic, and suitability of technical requirements of teaching materials. The ability of student scientific literacy is enhanced for six indicators, identifying valid scientific opinions, conducting an effective literature, understanding the design elements of the study and how their impact on findings/ conclusions, solving problems using quantitative skills, understanding and interpreting basic statistics, predicting, and conclusing based on quantitative data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of the mindset of learners who often receive the material in the form of problem solving. This type of research using research development, the subject of research is the students of economic education. Data collection tool in the form of documentation and questionnaire using Likert scale. The research results show on the webquest development process in 3 stages. The initial stage of development is the learner is required to analyze and manage the learning outcomes by developing the instrument to be evaluated, the inquiry-based webquest method directs the learners to browse and is able to solve the existing case study at webquest stage. The second stage of development by using the development model of Peter Fenrich is developing CRT where CRT is developed with a questionnaire as a media feasibility tool webquest consists of 20 items of question, then develop a learning strategy that is using the first principle of introduction learning, task, process, evalution and last conclusion. The last stage is evaluation with trial review on some experts, among others media experts who stated media developed with a score of 70.5%, material experts said the media got a value of 72% while the individual test media developed a score of 77.5 %. The development of webquest media based on inquiry has fulfilled the purpose of developing webquest skills of learners starting there is a more complex increase.

Abstract

The research purpose is to know: (1) There is differences in economic learning results using Problem Solving, STAD in grade XII students SMAN I Lamongan, SMAN I kembangbahu. (2) The difference of economic learning outcomes between high motivation students and low motivation (3) There is interaction between the use of learning model and motivation to learn on the economic learning outcomes. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test and a rating scale motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics of anova two factors. The average score of student learning outcomes with Problem Solving, 83.84, STAD type 76.56, and average score of student learning outcomes highly motivated 83.07, low motivation 76.32. Hypothesis test Anava (1) F count for 35.512, sig. 0.000 <0.05, There is effect of learning outcomes students who were taught by Problem Solving and STAD type. (2) F count for 25.196, sig. 0.000 <0.05. There is effect of learning outcomes between students who are highly motivated and low motivated. (3) obtained F count of 9.164, sig. 0.003 <0.05, it can be concluded there is interaction between learning model and motivation to result learn. So the interaction between motivation and learning model influence together to increase student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims at determining to examine Problem Based Learning effect on the increase of learning achievement of Mathematics class X-MIA SMA Negeri 1 Lamongan Lesson Year 2017/2018. The research used quantitative approach method (Simple Linear Regression Analysis), collecting data used observation sheet and test analysis instrument, analysis data used SPSS. The results showed 1) Average scores of student learning outcomes with Problem Based Learning amounted to 79.01, but the average score of learning outcomes before with Problem Based Learning is amounted to 71. 2) The test results in the Summary Model table, obtained, Pearson correlation coefficient (R ) equal to 0.694a, R square equal to 0.481 it has influence contribution of 48.1% to variable Y and 51.9% influenced by other factors. 3) Test results in ANOVAb table is F_count of 61.20, sig (0.000a <0.05), then the regression model can be used to predict Learning Outcomes. 4). The result of test on Table Coefficientsa is Constant (a) is 34,388, the effectiveness of learning (b) is 0.705, then the regression equation is Y = 34.388 + 0.705 X, t count of 7.823 with sig (0,000 <0,05) it means between Problem Based Learning (X) on the increase of Learning Outcomes (Y).

Abstract

To describe the ability to solve story problems, build a flat-side space using the Newman stage, researchers conducted descriptive research using qualitative and quantitative data. The subjects of this study were all students of class VIII A MTs Musthofawiyah Nguruan in the academic year 2017/2018 consisting of 17 students. Data retrieval was carried out through a description and interview test with descriptive data analysis techniques developed based on indicators of problem solving ability based on Newman stages. The research data shows the ability to solve story problems in building a flat side of class VIII A MTs Musthofawiyah Nguruan in the 2017/2018 school year based on the Newman stage is in less qualification, with the following questions: the ability of students to understand the problem in sufficient qualifications, students' ability to transform the problem in sufficient qualifications, the ability of students in the processing skills stage is lacking.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa ditinjau dari kesalahan mengerjakan soal menurut Bronwen Moore pada pokok bahasan barisan dan deret di SMA 1 Blora. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Subyek penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas X IPS. Data berupa dokumen tes hasil pekerjaan siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan mengerjakan dikarenakan : a) siswa tidak paham sehingga tidak hafal rumus dengan baik dan benar; b) siswa tidak dapat membedakan rumus barisan/ deret aritmetika dengan barisan/ deret geometri; c) siswa tidak teliti dalam memahami soal yang ditanyakan. Solusi yang ditawarkan peneliti adalah dengan menggunakan langkah Polya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan LKM mahasiswa berbasis konstruktivisme pada mata kuliah kapita selekta matematika II yang valid. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Four-D yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu: a) pendefinisian (define), b) perancangan (design) c) pengembangan (develop) dan d) penyebaran (desseminate). Namun dalam penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan (develop) dengan uji validitas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam LKM berbasis konstruktivisme yaitu berupa lembar validasi yang digunakan untuk menilai kevalidan LKM. Hasil penelitian kevalidan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis konstruktivisme oleh ahli materi mendapatkan skor rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 4,64 dengan kriteria sangat baik, sedangkan validasi oleh ahli media mendapatkan skor rata-rata keseluruhan 3,83 dengan kriteria baik. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menunjukkan bahwa LKM berbasis konstruktivisme pada mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika II materi trigonometri memenuhi kualifikasi valid.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Kanor II in the learning process can be known through students' test scores, there are still many students who have not been completed. This is because learning is still teacher-centered. To overcome this problem, the author uses the Van Hiele learning model with Origami Paper media to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.This study uses classroom action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Research instruments in data collection were carried out through test sheets, observation sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The subject of the study was the fourth grade students of SDN Kanor II with 11 students. Improving learning outcomes is shown from classical completeness of 27.27% in pre cycle to 63.63% in cycle-1 and 100% in cycle-2. Teacher activity is 72.5% in cycle-1 to 92.5% in cycle-2. The response of students to the Van Hiele learning model with Origami Paper media gave a positive response from each proven cycle the average percentage of total answers TS 4.04% in cycle-1 and 2.02% in cycle-2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya hasil pembelajaran matematika siswa SMA yang disebabkan belum optimalnya siswa terlibat dalam pembelajaran serta locus of control kurang seimbang dalam pembelajaran. Strategi pemecahan masalah Solso digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan berpikir dan locus of control siswa secara berkeseimbangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji: 1) adakah perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pemecahan masalah Solso dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, 2) adakah perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang memiliki locus of control internal dan siswa yang memiliki locus of control eksternal terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, 3) adakah pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran dan locus of control terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Desain penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen pretest-posttest. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI–IPA SMA Negeri 1 Soko Tuban, kelas XI–IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI-IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket locus of control. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Two Way Anova. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: 1) ada perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar matematika antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pemecahan masalah Solso dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional, 2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar matematika antara siswa yang memiliki locus of control internal dan locus of control eksternal, 3) tidak ada pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran dan locus of control terhadap prestasi belajar matematika.
