Abstract

According to Riskesdas (2018), as many as 400,000 people or around 1.7% are affected by schizophrenia in Indonesia. Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder that occurs in brain function causing changes in irregular thought patterns, delusions, inappropriate behavior changes, changes in psychosocial function and hallucinations, 70% of patients experience auditory hallucinations. Efforts that nurses can make to control patient hallucinations non-pharmacologically include classical music therapy which can improve a person's memory, concentration and perception. The design of this scientific paper uses a case report design with a nursing process approach. The subjects in this case study are patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations who are being treated at the Jambi Province Regional Mental Hospital. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis by looking at signs of hallucinations from the first to the last day of implementation. The results of the 5-day case study showed that there was a decrease in signs of hallucinations from a score of 10 to a score of 2. After classical music therapy intervention, there was a decrease in signs of hallucinations and the patient was able to control his hallucinations.

Abstract

Health problems in Indonesia are still considered complex, especially related to disparities in access and quality of health services. This research aims to analyze health policy in Indonesia, especially the implementation of National Health Insurance (JKN), as well as identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various sources related to health policy in Indonesia. The research results show that the implementation of JKN has expanded the reach of medical services to make them more accessible to various levels of society, but there are still gaps in the quality and distribution of services in various regions. Key challenges include limited resources and lack of coordination between institutions. Health policy reform has brought positive changes, but still requires continuous improvement. Multisector collaboration has proven effective in addressing social determinants of health. This research recommends strengthening the referral system, developing an integrated health information system, and implementing policies that are more responsive to specific regional needs. For further research, it is recommended to focus on evaluating the JKN program and the effectiveness of cross-sector collaboration in improving public health status.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital devices in children has been associated with the progression of myopia. This literature review aims to analyze the relationship between screen time duration and myopia acceleration in children. The study was conducted by reviewing 12 journals published between 2019 to 2024, using prospective and retrospective observational methods. The results showed that children who spent more than 3-4 hours per day in front of the screen experienced more significant axial elongation and refractive changes than those with lower duration of use. In addition, online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a major factor in the increase in the duration of digital device use, contributing to the accelerated progression of myopia. The literature research involved searching online scientific databases such as Pubmed, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar and ProQuest. This study emphasizes the importance of reducing screen time and increasing outdoor activities to reduce the risk of myopia in children.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is the condition where a pregnant woman is deprived of nutrition for a long period of time which is characterized by a LILA size less than 23,5 cm. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship among knowledge, pregnancy spacing, frequency of ANC visits, and the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) among pregnant women. Factors that influence Chronic Energy Deficiency include: age, education, knowledge, economy, pregnancy spacing, ANC frequency, history of illness, parity, husband’s support and the role of health workers. This study used a cross-sectional approach which was conducted at Tujuh Ulu Community Health Centre Palembang on June 25, 2024 – June 29, 2024 by using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results obtained from the 81 respondents studied were 16 (19,8) respondents experienced CED, and 65 (80,2) respondents did not experience CED. Additionally, 21 respondents (25,9%) had less knowledge, 29 respondents (35,8%) had high risk pregnancy spacing, and 10 respondents (12,3%) had less frequency of ANC visits. The chi-square test revealed significant relationships between knowledge and the incidence of CED, with a p-value of 0.000, and between pregnancy spacing and the incidence of CED, with a p-value of 0.028. However, no significant relationship was found between the frequency of ANC visits and the incidence of CED, with a p-value of 0.102. It can be concluded that there is no relationship among knowledge, pregnancy spacing, and frequency of ANC visits simultaneously with the incidence of CED among pregnant women at 7 Ulu Community Health Centre in Palembang City. It is suggested that health workers at 7 Ulu Community Health Centre should increase counselling regarding the danger of CED and how to solve it so that the incidence of CED could be reduced
