Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of applying banana leaf compost (Musa paradisaca L) on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L). This research was conducted at the Biology Laboratory of the teaching and education faculty, Gunung Leuser University, UGL Aceh in march 2023. It was a nonfactorial complete randomized design experiment (CRD) with 3 replications and 5 treatments, with samples of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L) and banana leaf compost (Musa paradisaca L). Parameters observed were height of the leaf sheath (cm) of mustard greens measured after 7 days, 14 and 21 days of plant age. Based on the result of the study at the age of 7 days after planting, the height of the leaf midrib did not show a significant effect because the calculated F value < F table (0,42 < 4,53) and so also at the age of 14 days after planting there was no significant effect because the calculated F value < F table (1,50 < 4,53). Then on the 21st day after the new planting there is a significant effect this because the calculated F value > F table (5,64 > 4,53). The results of the data analysis showed that there was ab effect of applying banana leaf compost (Musa paradisaca L) on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L).

Abstract

This journal looks at how Islamic education management shapes society and educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach, conducts a literature study, and utilizes 3M, or recording, analyzing, and critiquing, as a data collection method. According to the findings, Islamic education management can play various roles in educational institutions, including curriculum management, student recruitment, personnel management, infrastructure and facilities management, administrative management, financial management, and public relations. In addition, professional researchers who have contributed to producing works that can build the nation through education, and have knowledge of management and leadership in becoming educational consultants, demonstrate the role of management in community development. In addition, the learning method used by educators to instill the value of tolerance in each student to address the diversity that exists in the community is an example of the role of management in community development.

Abstract

This research explores the Google Sites platform as an effective and efficient learning medium for developing students. This research was conducted using the Design and Development (D&D) approach, with a series of studies on the process of analysis, design, development and implementation. Data were obtained through instruments in the form of field documentation and questionnaires or questionnaires which were distributed to teachers of Islamic religious education in elementary schools and high school students in elementary schools. Data processing is done quantitatively. The data shows that Google Sites as a digital media for learning PAI in elementary schools is quite easy in delivering learning because there are interactive animated powerpoint videos in which there are animated characters, there are songs about noble characters in them, so that learning activities are more attractive to students' learning motivation. When watching animated learning videos, most students feel happy.

Abstract

The high amount of university graduates requires studet not only success in academic but also have soft skills to able compete and adapt in competitive work. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of soft skills and academic achievement on the perceived employability of Economics Education Students FKIP UNS both partially and simultaneously. This research is descriptive quantitative method with a population of 125 students in Economics Education FKIP UNS batches of 2016, 2017 and 2018 and a sample of 96 students. Data collection used questionnaires. The sampling technique using proportional random sampling, as well using multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. The results of the study show that (1) there was a positive and significant effect between soft skills on the perceived employability of economic education students at FKIP UNS (2) there was a positive and significant effect between academic achievement on the perceived employability of economic education students at FKIP UNS (3) there was a positive and significant effect between soft skills and academic achievement simultaneously on the perceived employability of economics education students FKIP UNS. This research useful to expanding understanding of perceived employability as important matter that must concern in higher education

Abstract

The real research was The Effectiveness Extensive Reading Strategy on the students’ ability in reading comprehension was conducted at The Fifth Semester Students of STKIP PGRI Bangkalan as subject because they have gotten some problem to comprehend the text in Extensive Reading course. In solving their problem, the researcher tried to overcome by introducing Extensive Reading Strategy, because Extensive Reading is one of the strategies that can used to teach vocabulary and extensive reading can enhance student vocabulary, it needs the process of extensive reading in order that students can read more and more. The research was done from Jan 2nd to April15th2023. The population of The Fifth Semester Students in academic year 2020/2021 was 30 students, which consists one classroom. One class were taken as the sample of this research. The experimental quantitative research was applied in this research. The quantitative design, researcher used one class to be experimental group and control groups. The facts showed that T- critical (T- c) value was higher than the t-table on the level 2.024. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and alternative hypothesis was accepted. So, the researcher concluded the alternative was accepted that there was any significant Effectiveness Extensive Reading Strategy on the students’ ability in reading comprehension. The students difficulties of using the Extensive Reading Strategy on the students’ ability based on the minimal passing grade the students that 30 points or 30% was low did not get pass the minimal passing grade and the students got above passed of the minimal passing grade 70%, it means that there was The Effective Extensive Reading Strategy on the students’ ability in reading comprehension was succeeded.

Abstract

The learning process will be more meaningful if it applies learning that can be a place for students to be able to improve cognitive abilities. This research is motivated by a problem, namely the low cognitive abilities of students in the science learning content of fifth grade students at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. This is evidenced by the acquisition of a class average of 48 and still below the school completeness criteria. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to describe how the application of the outdoor study method to science content can improve the cognitive abilities of fifth grade students at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. This research was conducted at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research, which consists of II cycles with research procedures carried out through 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and observations. The results showed that by applying the outdoor study method to the science learning content of fifth grade students was able to improve students' cognitive abilities. This can be seen in the increase in student learning activities and this increase can be seen in the data analysis of each meeting cycle, namely the results of the initial test obtained the percentage of learning completeness, namely 28.6% with an average value of 50. In cycle I, the percentage of student learning completeness was obtained increased to 66.7% with an average value of 69.28. In cycle II the percentage of student learning completeness increased again to 95.2% with an average value of 80.05

Abstract

Students tend to try a lot of new things that they have never tried before and have a high curiosity about many things. Various activities such as doing assignments, discussions, seminars, organizations and volunteer activities that are currently mostly carried out virtually make students feel less emotionally attached to other individuals and cause feelings of loneliness. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between self-esteem and loneliness in social media users. This research uses correlational quantitative method. Respondents in this study were college students of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University at Bekasi aged 18-24 years who actively communicated using social media at least two of the following social media, namely WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. The data collection technique used purposive sampling technique with 144 college students as respondents. Based on the results of the non-parametric Spearman's Rho there was a relationship of 0.999** with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.001). These results indicate a relationship with a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and loneliness in social media users at Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University. Which mean, the higher self-esteem in college students, the higher college students who experience loneliness, and vice versa. Suggestions for further researchers are to explore the virtual communication phenomenon that is currently occurring in relation to loneliness and self-esteem and can examine other factors such as birth order, personality type, and others.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the positive effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of SMEs. This research is a quantitative research with a correlation metaanalysis approach with random effect method. The population of this study was related journals that have been published nationally and internationally. The sample in this study were 23 related studies. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of SMEs with a summary effect value of 0,542 and p < 0,001.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems identified in class X SMK N 1 Palembayan, namely a poor learning environment, the LKPD used does not contain the context of numeracy literacy and is not yet based on problem-based learning. student. Thus making it difficult for students to understand the mathematical concepts they are learning. This study aims to create student worksheets based on problem-based learning models with a valid, practical and effective numeracy context for class X students of SMK N 1 Palembayan. This research is a research and development (R&D) type using the Sugiyono development model. This LKPD was validated by four validators and then corrected according to the validator's suggestions. Practical test results from student answer questionnaires and performance tests from student learning outcomes. Based on the development research conducted, it is known that the validity level of LKPD is 80.91% which is in the valid criteria, the practicality level is 81.33%, it is in the very practical criteria and the effectiveness level is 83% it is in the very effective criteria. It can be concluded that the LKPD Mathematics Based on the Problem Based Learning Model with the Context of Numerical Literacy for Class X SMK N 1 Palembayan which was developed is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Cultural value and custom can’t be separated because custom is part from a culture that inside it there are values that are reflected inside of the life of community or society. One of the novel that describing cultural value and custom is Tambo: Sebuah Pertemuan novel work of Gus Tf Sakai. The aim of this research is to describe Minangkabau cultural values and custom in Tambo: Sebuah Pertemuan novel work of Gus Tf Sakai. The cultural values and custom reviewed based on C.Kluckhohn’s Theory of Antrophology. Approach of this research is qualitative research with content analysis method. Result of the research shows that in novel there are sixteen cultural values from five cultural values orientation: (1) Cultural Values related to human and his life: life based on rules and truth, (2) Cultural values related to human and his works: independence, ingenuity, work by pace, active, and diligent, (3) Cultural Values related to human against time: think for the future, frugality, (4) Cultural values related to human view against nature: maintain harmony with nature and utilizing the nature, (5) Cultural value related to human and others: solidarity, respect, agreement, justice, and obedience. Minangkabau custom that has been found as much as 4 customs, that is (1) custom: custom that truly custom, custom customized, (2) Cupak nan duo: cupak usali (3) undang-undang nan ampek (4) kato nan ampek: kato pusako, kato mufakat, kato dahulu, kato kudian.
