Abstract

The use of media is very important for teachers in learning. However, the lessons given so far seem textual and boring. This is due to the lack of knowledge and ability of teachers in making interesting variations of learning media. For this reason, Powtoon animation media is needed, so that learning becomes more meaningful and students feel enthusiastic in participating in learning. The purpose of this school action research is to describe the improvement of teacher competence in developing Powtoon animation-based learning media through workshop activities. This research uses a school action research method with two cycles. The subjects are teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta with 33 teachers. Collecting data with questionnaires, assignments, and observations. Based on the analysis results, this workshop includes two cycles with four stages each (Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Reflection). Based on the results of the first cycle, the teacher's competence in making Powtoon animation is 70.24% including the Enough category so that in developing new learning media products 41.67% are collected and in the Less category. Next, Cycle II was carried out with mentoring strategies by researchers in collaboration with colleagues. From cycle II data, the competence of teachers in making Powtoon animation is 98.02%, including the Very Good category, and the product results have reached 100% and the Very Good category. This shows an increase in teacher competence in developing Powtoon animation-based learning media.

Abstract

Video is a type of media that can visualize images with sound that connected with each other including 4 elements (text, pictures, sound and animation) that make students tend to pay attention and can increase their curiosity about learning materials. The aims of this study to describe the eligibility of video as a learning media for basic competence create home fashion designs according the collage concept. This research use type of Research and Development (RnD) with ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The type of data used in this research is quantitative descriptive data. The research instrument is form of questionnaire given to the validator to determine the aligibity of video in terms of material and media aspects. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires. The result showed The eligibility level of learning video from material aspect got an average result of 3.6 included in the very eligibility criteria, and from media aspect got an average of 3.7 included in the very eligibility criteria. It can be concluded that learning video media is appropriate to be applied to fashion design learning for basic competence create home fashion designs according the collage concept.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and reading comprehension among elementary school students in the city of Bukittinggi. Respondents in this study were 54 elementary school students in the city of Bukittinggi. Data collection uses a scale of self-esteem and reading comprehension with a Likert scale model. Categorization of data is grouped into three levels of categories namely high, medium and low. The biggest category of self-esteem variable is in the high category, namely 96.3% and the available reading category comprehension variable is also in the high category, namely 98.1%. The data analysis technique used in this study is the product moment statistical analysis technique. The results showed that there was a relationship between self-esteem and reading comprehension in elementary school students in the city of Bukittinggi with a significance value of 0.010 (p<0.05).

Abstract

The goal of this study is to use the Altman Z-Score approach to predict and quantify the level of bankruptcy in Property and Real Estate Sector Firms listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index. Moreover, to determine which businesses have the highest and lowest rates of bankruptcy. A company's financial ratios based on the financial ratios of the Altman Z-Score are the variable utilized in the study's discussion of using the original Altman Z-Score to predict bankruptcy. Working capital to total assets divided (X1), retained earnings to total assets divided (X2), earnings before interest and taxes divided (X3), share market value to total debt divided (X4), and sales to total assets divided (X1) are the financial ratios (X5). This study is quantitative in nature. Secondary data in the form of annual financial reports that were downloaded from www.idnfinancials.com between 2016 and 2019 is the type of data that was used. The Altman Z-Score, which has the formula Z = 1.2.X1 + 1.4.X2 + 3.3.X3 + 0.6.X4 + 1.0.X5, is used in the data analysis to determine the level of bankruptcy for the years 2016 to 2019. The findings of this study show that from 2016 to 2019 APLN, ADHI, ASRI, DILD, GAMA, MDLN, CTRA, and DART are in the danger zone according to the results of the bankruptcy prediction analysis based on the Altman Z-Score. BSDE company is in a vulnerable/grey zone. Meanwhile, the PLIN company is in a safe zone. The company that has the highest bankruptcy rate is DART and the company that has the lowest bankruptcy rate is PLIN.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in teacher work values ​​in terms of Flores ethnic culture. The subjects in this study totaled 120 teachers spread across five Flores ethnicities, namely the Manggarai, Bajawa, East Flores, Ende Lio, Sikka Krowe ethnicities. This type of research uses a comparative quantitative research approach. The results showed that there were differences in teacher work values ​​in terms of Flores ethnic culture, with the results of the hypothesis test (t test) showing 0.000 ˂ 0.05, it can be seen that the significant results are less than 0.05. In addition, the results of this study also show that the highest work value is in the Manggarai ethnic group, with a mean of 102.29, followed by the Bajawa ethnic group, with a mean of 100.29, then the East Flores ethnic group, with a mean of 99.44 and the Ende-Lio ethnic group, with a mean of 98.78. and the lowest work value for the Sikka-Krowe ethnic group with a mean of 98.12.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of human relations and transformational leadership style on the work ethic of employees at PT. Nusa Guna Prima Jaya, Ungar District, Karimun Regency. Human relations and transformational leadership style as independent variables (X1, X2) while employee work ethic as the dependent variable (Y). The problem that occurs in this study is the decrease in employee performance so that it has an impact on the employee's work ethic itself and the occurrence of fluctuating employee turnover and employee absenteeism which increases every year. This can be seen from the data on labor turnover and company attendance. The sample for this research was taken as many as 67 respondents from the population calculated using the slovin formula. The data obtained from the results of the questionnaire and then processed to then be tested with statistics through the SPSS program. The data analysis technique used is validity and reliability test, multiple linear analysis, coefficient of determination, t test and F test. Based on the results of the tests performed it shows that human relations and transformational leadership style have a positive and significant effect on the work ethic of employees at PT. Nusa Guna Prima Jaya, Ungar District, Karimun Regency.

Abstract

Identification of competency standards is an important step for study programs to ensure that the vision, mission, goals and profiles of graduates in the study program are in line with the needs of graduate users (business and industry). As an effort to realize the competency quality of prospective graduates so that they are in accordance with the competency needs in the industrial world, the Environmental Engineering Study Program has identified the relevance of the curriculum to the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). This study is the result of identifying competency needs based on SKKNI in the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Walisongo State Islamic University, Semarang. The identification method uses focus group discussions (FGD) and literature studies. It is hoped that this article can become the basis for academic studies on curriculum development in the Environmental Engineering Study Program so that it is suitable for meeting competency needs in the world of work. The results of this study can also be developed for the preparation of a Training Need Analysis (TNA) for career preparation for prospective graduates. The SKKNI search in this study was classified into three main fields according to the graduate profiles of the study programs, namely: the field of Engineering, the field of Environment and the field of Occupational Health Safety (K3). as material for studying the formation of an SKKNI-based curriculum in the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Walisongo State Islamic University, Semarang.

Abstract

The jni study aims to find out whether grade V students at SDN KARANGPAWITAN 3 understand the length unit using story questions, as well as what factors make students less aware of the story even though it has been explained. The method used in this study used a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data carried out with tests and conducting interviews with grade 5 homeroom teachers. From the results of research that has been carried out, the students have not fully understood the meaning of the story questions, but there are some students who already understand how to solve the story questions but on average the study

Abstract

This study's goal was to examine how the project-based learning paradigm affected various components of intelligence and the effectiveness of students' multiple intelligences. The research sample consisted of 30 XI students. Descriptive research methodology is employed. Interviews, observation, and questionnaires were the tools employed. The findings demonstrated that all facets of the kids' multiple intelligences, including logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic, body-kinesthetic, musical, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligence, were present. The category for interpersonal quotient is quite good. The majority of student intelligence falls into the good group, specifically in the areas of logical-mathematical, linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligence. Pupils' musical intelligence is subpar, but their visual-spatial intelligence is pretty strong.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain whether there is a relationship between pay and job motivation in teachers, how much of a contribution is made, and whether this relationship is significant or not. Descriptive-quantitative research methodology was adopted in this study. While a questionnaire was used to collect data for this study. Using product moment correlation analysis, data is processed. Because 0.882 was between 0.70-0.90 and the correlation coefficient significance test indicated that the r-table was at a 5% significance level of 0.514, rxy = 0.882 was included in the product moment correlation interpretation table with strong or high interpretation results. In other words, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, with a contribution level of 77.4%, as it can be shown that r-count is bigger than r-table at a significance level of 5%. So, there is a very strong and important link between teacher motivation and compensation.
