Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of training in paraphrasing and citation techniques using Mendeley paraphrasing and citation skills for PGSD students, Mataram University. Type of this research is a quantitative research using a pre-experimental design method type one group pretest-posttest. This research is included in the population study because all participants are the research subjects. The instruments used were 10 multiple choice questions and 5 short questions which were used as pretest and posttest questions. The data analysis technique used a normality test as a prerequisite for analysis, paired sample t-test, an effect size test, and an N-Gain test. All data are normally distributed as indicated by the normality test. The paired sample t-test test shows a difference between the pretest and posttest values ​​where the posttest value is higher than the pretest value. Test effect size d = -1.90521 is in the small category because <0.05. This means that training in paraphrasing and citation techniques using Mendeley has little effect on students' ability to paraphrase and cite. N-Gain test with SPSS 18.0, the average N-Gain score was 54.9271 or 55% or included in the less effective category. The conclusion is that training in paraphrasing and citation techniques using Mendeley to avoid plagiarism is less effective in improving paraphrasing and citation skills for 7th-semester students of PGSD, University of Mataram.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to find the teaching strategies applied by EFL teacher and the problem at Junior a High School in Indonesia. The design of the research is descriptive qualitative. The researcher use observation, interview and documentation to collect the data. While, to analyze the data researcher used qualitative narrative appoarch. The steps were : create and organize files for data, read through text, make(margin notes, form initial codes), describe the story or objective set of experiences and place it in a chronology, identify stories and contextual materials, interpret the larger meaning of the story, and present narration (focusing on processes theories, and unique and general features of the life). In addition, the result of this research showed ; 1) the EFL teacher using syncronous to online teaching; 2) the problem in online taching are lack of quota package, lack of internet access, lack of motivation, and lack of facilities.

Abstract

Lately character education has become a worldwide trend. This arises due to the rapid development of the times, so it is feared that the character values in a society will disappear, especially the local character values in a society. This article explores research that has been conducted by several researchers regarding the implementation of character education through project-based learning. The method used is literature review, by collecting articles related to the research topic, then reviewed and then grouped based on the type of research. The results of the study show that not many studies have implemented character education through project-based learning.

Abstract

This research uses a type of qualitative research with a library research approach by digging up information through the literature regarding leadership and education to answer the focus of the study in this study. This study examines the definition of educational leadership, general principles of educational leadership, general principles of educational leadership, educational leadership requirements, educational leadership skills, and educational leadership measurement instruments. Perinsip is one of the important things that must be owned by a leader. Principles can be a provision so that leadership can run well. Principles of educational leadership. among others: 1) constructive. 2) creative. 3) participatory. 4) Cooperative. 5) delegate. 6) integrative. 7) rational. 8) pragmatic. 9) do not force yourself to carry out activities beyond the capabilities of the madrasa. 10) exemplary. 11) adaptable and flexible.

Abstract

This research is aimed to ascertain the integration of local customs (indigeneous languages, traditional costumes, local folklores) of Sasambo communities in mini-drama activities for multilingual and multiethnic EFL classes to improve student’s speaking confidence and promote contextual and fun learning based on the students’ perspectives. This study investigated the students' perceptions on: (a) forming groups with mixed ethnic and language background members; (b) using traditional costumes in mini-drama performance; (c) theming the mini drama based on local Sasambo folklores; and (d) the students’ overall perception on integrating local customs in mini-drama project. Data of this survey research were collected through a questionnaire, interview, and classroom observations. A total of 238 first-semester students from various study programs at the University of Mataram were involved. The results show that the majority of students expressed positive and very positive views towards the integration of local cultures in mini-drama project. They responded positively to setting the group in mixed ethnic and language backgrounds to perform the mini-drama (96.2%), wearing traditional costumes for mini-drama performances (92%), theming mini-drama based on the local Sasambo folklores that translated into English (94.5%), and showing positive impacts of integrating local Sasambo customs (indigeneous languages, traditional costumes, local folklores) in a mini-drama project on improving the students’ speaking skill, confidence, and happiness (92.8%).

Abstract

Technological development, apart from having a positive impact, also has a negative impact. One of the crimes caused by the development and progress of information technology is a crime related to internet applications, which is often referred to as cybercrime. This category of crimes includes all types of crimes as well as their modus operandi, which are carried out by utilizing internet facilities and as a negative effect of using internet applications. The characteristics of cybercrime crimes that do not recognize national territorial boundaries make these crimes inseparable from the role of the Secretariat of the National Central Bureau (NCB)—Interpol Indonesia. NCB-Interpol Indonesia has an important role in conveying information about cyber crimes committed by foreign or Indonesian citizens, obtained from NCBs of other countries, to the competent authorities. The goals and tasks of ICPO-Interpol will be achieved when NCB-Interpol Indonesia participates in fighting cybercrime because they fulfill international obligations regulated by laws and international conventions that apply in Indonesia. Obstacles that arise in tackling cybercrime crimes are related to national borders and jurisdictions, differences in national law making it difficult to determine which law to apply, extradition treaties, and the process of identifying cybercrime perpetrators

Abstract

independence at the faculty of tarbiyah and teacher training (FITK) in terms of gender, and to determine differences in male and female student learning independence. This study used a quantitative method, with data collection methods through a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. Questionnaire is a method of inquiry using a list of statements that must be answered by the subject. Then the measuring instrument scale used in this study is the self-efficacy and independence scale. While gender only uses code 1 for male students and 2 for female students. The results of the study concluded that (1) there is a relationship between self-efficacy and independence in terms of the gender of students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. This is obtained from R Squared = .203 with a significance of p = 0.000 (p <0.05); and (2) There are differences in the independence of male and female students in the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN SU Medan. This is obtained from the value of F = 32.809 with a significance of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a significant difference in independence between male and female students in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of mamak in fostering the morals of nephews in Nagari Lilinutan, Lubuk Alung District, Padang Pariaman Regency. A qualitative approach is used in uncovering facts from the phenomenon of this research topic, collecting data using observation, interviews and document studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the research data was tested using a triangulation technique covering 4 aspects, namely interval validity, internal validity, reliability and objectivity. The results of this study concluded that the morals displayed by nephews in the Nagari Lilinutan were classified as obedient, kind, and controlled by their social level. This is the result of the mamak's central role in providing moral guidance for nephews in accordance with Minangkabau customary law. The supporting factors for the role of mamak in this context include; nephew's self-awareness of the importance of having good morals, government support for customary preservation practices, and mutual respect between mamak and nephew. While the inhibiting factors include family economic factors, the times, social conditions, juvenile delinquency, and disagreements with each other.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of training, career development and motivation on the performance of employees of PT. Surteckariya Indonesia production department. The population in this study are employees of PT. Surteckariya Indonesia is part of the production team, with a total of 80 employees. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sample technique, namely a sampling technique using the entire population as a sample. Thus the number of samples in this study were 80 people. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The test results show that training has no positive effect on employee performance, career development has a positive effect on employee performance, motivation has a positive effect on employee performance at PT. Surteckariya Indonesia production department.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the work environment, work discipline and teamwork on employee performance at the GTV Hotel and Apartment. This research consists of four variables, namely Work Environment (X1), Work Discipline (X2) and Teamwork (X3) on Employee Performance (Y). This study used a sample of 75 employees. This research used data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires. The data analysis method used is Lisrel for Windows. The results of the analysis state that: (1) the work environment has no positive and significant impact on employee performance, (2) work discipline has a positive and significant impact on employee performance, (3) teamwork has a positive and significant impact on employee performance.
