Abstract

The translation of the word ἐπιεικὲς in Philippians 4:5 is inviting trouble as the Indonesian translation does not seem to be very appropriate based on the context. While many versions of the Bible give the correct translation, the discussion about why the translation was given has never appeared. This article discusses the use of the word ἐπιεικὲς in the verse in question based on three points of view. First, it analyzes the usage of the word in the New Testament. Secondly, it analyzes the near context of the verse under study. Third, the analysis of the sequential order that usually appears in Paul's writings. Fourth, the analysis of the broader context. The four analyses prove that when Paul uses the word ἐπιεικὲς he is referring to the context of suffering, which is why the correct meaning for the translation of the word ἐπιεικὲς is forbearance. Thus, Jesus' teaching on almsgiving in Matthew does not contradict Philippians 4:5.

Abstract

The understanding of sin that leads to death and sin that does not lead to death in 1 John. 5:16, 17 is still a topic of debate among Bible scholars. Various opinions, both based on theological interpretations and biblical studies, have emerged to find out the definitions of these two types of sins. Further discussion to understand this verse is needed to gain more thorough understanding. By using several aspects of the exegesis method, the author tries to find out the meaning of sin that leads to death and sin that does not lead to death. The emphasis of this study is on the analysis of sin in the book of 1 John specifically in 2:1 and 3:8 and then compares it with the contents of 5:16, 17. The results of the discussion prove that a sin that leads to death is a condition in which a person commits a sin but does not come by faith in Jesus who is the Mediator and in a situation where a person knowingly commits a sin or acts in violation of God's law continuously. These two conditions will lead to death. while sin that does not bring death is a condition in which a believer who, in his life's journey, could have committed a sin but then came and confessed it before God. That person will get forgiveness from Allah and he will not experience eternal death.

Abstract

This qualitative research study aims to explore the perceptions of IAIN Pontianak students towards Mandarin courses. The study utilized questionnaires and field observations to collect data from 100 respondents who were students from three different study programs. The results of the study indicate that most students perceive Mandarin language courses positively, and this is reflected in their good grades. The study's findings suggest that Mandarin courses are well-received among IAIN Pontianak students, which could indicate an increased interest in learning the language. Moreover, the research can also help identify areas of improvement for Mandarin language courses in the future. The use of questionnaires and field observations as data collection techniques enhances the study's validity and reliability, as it provides a more comprehensive understanding of the students' perceptions. In conclusion, this study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on language education in Indonesia, particularly in IAIN Pontianak. It highlights the importance of language courses and how students perceive them. Furthermore, this study can serve as a reference for educators to improve Mandarin language courses to meet students' needs and expectations.

Abstract

The method used in this study is a qualitative research method carried out by means of literature studies or library research that examines relevant theories.Learning in elementary schools in this study uses integrated thematic learning. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher creativity in integrated thematic learning on increasing students' learning interest in elementary schools. The results of this study indicate that integrated thematic learning greatly influences student learning interest, because thematic learning aims to increase students' understanding of concepts meaningfully. In this thematic learning students are required to be more active and think critically as well as in the student centered learning process. For this reason, teachers must be creative in implementing integrated thematic learning in order to achieve increased student interest in learning

Abstract

In essence, humans are social creatures who live in groups, so it cannot be denied that in everyday life humans cannot be separated from various kinds of problems, one of which is in organization. Performance is something that must be improved by every agency in implementing programs that are directed to always be efficient to achieve agency goals. Organizational progress is achieved when employee performance is high, which is influenced by the leadership style of the leader and discipline. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of Leadership Style and Discipline on the Performance of Desa Srimukti Employees. The type of research used is associative research with quantitative research methods in the form of data collection using questionnaires. The number of samples used as many as 30 respondents using multiple linear regression analysis techniques.The results of the regression test showed that 76,8% of the performance factors could be explained by leadership style and discipline, while the remaining 23,2% was explained by other factors not examined in this study. While the results of the F test show that simultaneously the variables of leadership style and discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on performance with the results of the analysis that the value of Fcount (49.018) > Ftable (3.354). The results of the t test show that the discipline variable shows the results of the t-count analysis (-0,071) where the t table (2.051) then partially the variables dicipline have no significant effect on employee performance Desa Srimukti. The leadership style variable has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees Desa Srimukti with the value of the t-count analysis (9.816). The dominant variable affecting performance is the leadersip style.

Abstract

Muna is one of the regencies in Southeast Sulawesi Province which has a diversity of arts, culture and tribes. One of the traditional art forms that has now become the identity of Muna Regency is the Powele Traditional Silat. Powele Traditional Silat is a traditional martial art inherited from the ancestors of Muna People. Powele Traditional Silat is very interesting and functions as a medium of education without losing its cultural values. This research method uses literature study. The results showed that the Powele Traditional Silat is a cultural embodiment with noble values that must be upheld and preserved. In carrying out the Powele Traditional Silat tradition, there are character values such as solidarity, leadership, patience and peace that need to be instilled in students. Utilization of Traditional Powele Silat in social studies learning because it is considered relevant to the material on the nation’s cultural diversity in elementary school social studies.

Abstract

Workplace noise often becomes a problem for workers, but the noise experienced by petrochemical workers can cause physiological, psychological, communication, and balance disturbances. The purpose of this final project is to identify the sources of noise and efforts to prevent noise in the petrochemical industry. Noise is an unwanted sound from activities or operations over a period of time, and can certainly cause health problems for humans and environmental discomfort. The research method used in this final project is a qualitative method, which is used to investigate, discover, describe, and presented using descriptive methods. From the results obtained, it is known that the sources of noise are physiological disturbances, psychological disturbances, communication disturbances, and deafness. The efforts to prevent noise include technical prevention, administrative noise prevention, and the last resort of noise prevention. The conclusion of this final project is that for any job that involves noise, prevention efforts must be made by measuring the intensity and threshold limit value at the workplace to be 85 dB for 8 hours per day, and prevention efforts must be made using technical, administrative, and the last resort of noise prevention methods. It is recommended that workers who are exposed to noise must use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for their work.

Abstract

Each country in carrying out its government must have certain goals, in general countries are oriented and focused on national interests that lead to the welfare and prosperity of the country. an agenda carried out by the United States (United States of America) as a national strategic project, namely the Willow Projects, this is a domino effect from Saudi Arabia (Kingdom Saudi Arabia) joining an association of multilateral cooperation of countries in various fields that are developing and leading namely BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Saudi Arabia, which is the main partner in relation to the U.S. oil trade as a provider of oil trade, is now turning around to cooperate with BRICS. The impact of this happening was that the United States cheated by becoming the Willow Projects to be the solution to this problem in the midst of an international political dilemma. The Willow Projects is a United States drilling project carried out in the state of Alaska, this has an impact on the international world environment, if it is not governed by appropriate environmental law regulations. In conducting a scientific research, researchers use a method, namely the Empirical Normative method using a statutory approach.

Abstract

The Islamic tradition which is rooted in the culture of society in Indonesia has diversity. Traditions can also be found in art forms and religious rituals that are carried out routinely. Islamic society, both traditions are products of acculturation and cultural assimilation. This study is a library research using a critical historical approach. Historical methods are used for the process of examining and critically analyzing past records and relics. From a historical perspective, the manaqib genre is a genre that was developed from the perspective of the tradition of writing Islamic history and oral traditions that form the culture of manaqiban in the culture of Islamic society. From the content aspect, it consists of good moral values ​​(akhlaq) that can inspire and become a reference for building a nation's character based on Islamic culture in the modern era. From the aspect of implementing cultural preservation, it will have a positive impact on building morality. From the aspect of writing, the Book of Manaqib al-Busyra is the work of a scholar as an educator and sirah (historical) expert who can be accounted for by the moral mission and references of a manaqib.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the problem-solving abilities of prospective elementary school teachers in terms of self-regulated learning. The research was carried out at Almuslim University located in Bireuen, Aceh. The research subjects were 20 pre-service teacher elementary school. Data were collected from diagnostic tests and self-regulated learning attitude scales. The diagnostic test was given to 20 students consisted of two essay questions while the self-regulated scale consisted of five options, namely very often (SS), Often (S), KD (Sometimes), JR (Rarely), and TP (Never). The results showed that students who had high self-regulated learning were able to solve problem-solving skills well. Students who have moderate self-regulated learning have moderate solving abilities, this seems to be able to write mathematical models or be known from questions verbally or in written form, but without solving problems in the right way. Meanwhile, prospective elementary school teacher students who have low self-regulated learning indicate that they have low problem-solving skills. They understand the problem, but are unable to solve the problem properly. For that required the role of independent learning. Because the better the students' self-regulated learning, the better their mathematical problem solving abilities.Hence, it can be concluded that the student’ learning independence is at low level.
