Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model to science learning outcomes. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students and teachers at MI Muhammadiyah 27 Surabaya. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of the STAD Type Cooperative learning model has been carried out properly and well. The STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model has 5 steps, namely the goal of directing learning and motivating students, presenting information, organizing and guiding students in groups, giving quizzes, and giving awards. The impact of applying this learning model can be seen during the learning process, namely by looking at the teachers and students who have implemented the 5 steps of the learning model correctly, so that the learning process goes well. Interaction between students and students with teachers is also visible and students can interact in groups. There was an increase in science learning outcomes after the implementation of the STAD Type Cooperative learning model.

Abstract

The research aims to describe students' cognitive processes in solving mathematical problems through a problem based learning model. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were fourth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 27 Surabaya. The results of this study indicate that students' cognitive processes in solving mathematical problems through the problem based learning model show certain behaviors at several stages from receiving, processing, storing to recalling information. This behavior is different for each student depending on the abilities they have. This occurs especially at the stage of receiving and processing information.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dewasa ini memiliki urgensi yang penting dalam memperbaiki moralitas anak bangsa, maka dari itu penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter harus dilakukan dengan metode yang tepat salah satunya metode habituasi seperti yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Gontor Putri Kampus 8 dengan output yang positif. Sayangnya deskripsi mengenai tahapan mulai dari perencanaan pelaksanaan dan evaluasinya masih belum terdeskripsikan sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan aspek perencanaan pelaksanaan dan evaluasi dalam penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter melalui metode habituasi di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Gontor Putri Kampus 8. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter melalui habituasi dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu : 1) perencanaan, dimulai dengan merencanakan pembeajaran bermuatan nilai karakter di kelas pada materi pondok dan kegiatan penunjang pembelajaran 2) pelaksanaan dengan memasukan atau mengintegrasikan nilai karakter sebagai salah satu tujuan dan muatan yang harus dicapai pada setiap pembelajaran serta memasukkan muatan nilai karakter dalam kegiatan kepramukaan, ekstrakulikuler, keislaman, kebahasaan dan organisasi. 3) tahap evaluasi dalam penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter dilakukan dalam bentuk evaluasi harian, mingguan, bulanan dan semester di kelas maupun pada kegiatan diluar kelas. Proses habituasi yang dilakukan ini bersifat integratif, rutin dan bersifat memaksa sehingga dengan tindakan tersebut habbit atau kebiasaan santri akan menghasilkan karakter yang mulia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the Competency Instrument for Educators and Education Personnel in Curriculum Preparation in Educational Institutions in the Indonesian Navy. The research method used in this research is qualitative research. The results of the research are to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competencies of teaching and educational staff required in preparing the Indonesian Navy Education curriculum. By adopting a qualitative approach, researchers can explore the context and complexity involved in developing these competencies in greater depth. This approach allows researchers to look beyond data and numbers, but also to understand the backgrounds, motivations and experiences that influence the thoughts and actions of educators and educational staff. Thus, this research not only aims to identify specific educational needs, but also to present rich and contextual insights into how these competencies can be developed and applied in the Indonesian Navy educational environment.

Abstract

Social Sciences (IPS) is a broad and complex field of study involves understanding various aspects of human society. In In this abstract, we explore the dimensions and fundamental structure of the IPS become the basis for understanding social phenomena. Dimensions of Social Sciences covers three main aspects. First, IPS is an interdisciplinary scientific discipline, combines perspectives and methodologies from a number of fields such as history, geography, sociology, economics, and politics. Second, IPS is contextual, where the analysis always considers historical, cultural, political and economic context where social phenomena take place. Third, IPS is reflective and encouraging critical thinking about values, norms, and power structures forming society. The structure of social studies can be analyzed at three levels. Level Micro examines individual interactions in small contexts such as family, friends, or work environment. The meso level is concerned with the larger social structure such as organizations, institutions and local communities. Meanwhile at the macro level observing social patterns involving large entities such as countries, economies global, or conflict between nations. Deep understanding of the dimensions and IPS structure has important implications in various aspects of human life,including policy formation, development of development strategies, and resolution of social conflicts. Using this conceptual framework, para IPS researchers and practitioners can make significant contributions in solvingcomplex social challenges and creating a more just and fair society sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to the lesson-planning skills of prospective mathematics teachers. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data are student-created lesson plans. Upon reviewing these documents, the researcher focused on how well the objectives aligned with the learning model and the students’ worksheet. According to the study's findings, only one of the seven participants in selecting the cooperative learning model type STAD advanced to the group reward stage. Furthermore, one person selected STAD less accurate, as the materials would have been better suited for a cooperative learning model like TPS. students’ worksheet which is developed by students is in accordance with the syntax of the STAD type Cooperative learning model. Five students selected the TPS-type cooperative learning model; however, two of them made an incorrect choice because the difficulties materials had a rather high. There are 6 people who choose the Discovery Learning (DL) model, but the material to be taught is too difficult if students have to discover concepts by themselves. Only 1 student chose the PBL model but this model is not suitable for the material to be taught and learning does not begin by presenting problems.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving the performance of education staff. In an era of globalization that demands improving the quality of education, TQM is considered a strategic approach that is able to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of education personnel. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers and administrative staff, as well as analysis of documents related to the implementation of TQM in selected vocational schools. The research results show that the implementation of TQM contributes significantly to improving the performance of education personnel in several main aspects: first, through strengthening a quality culture that emphasizes the importance of student satisfaction and achieving high education standards; second, continuous work process improvement through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle; and third, increasing job satisfaction and professionalism of educational staff through continuous training and career development programs. In addition, key factors that support the successful implementation of TQM in the educational environment include strong commitment from school management, active involvement of all stakeholders, and effective and transparent communication. This research also identifies challenges in implementing TQM, such as resistance to change and limited resources, but emphasizes that the long-term benefits of implementing TQM are much greater. The conclusion of this research is that TQM is an effective and efficient strategy in improving the performance of educational staff in vocational schools, and therefore, can be adopted more widely by other educational institutions. Successful implementation of TQM will have a positive impact on the overall quality of education, so that it can produce graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the world of work.

Abstract

This research examines the role of the Baitul Ghafur Grand Youth Mosque (RMA) in Southwest Aceh in the religious development of Generation Z. Generation Z, who live in the digital era and globalisation, are vulnerable to negative influences from technological developments and global culture. This study used a qualitative approach with direct observation, interviews, and documentation techniques to collect data. The data was analysed descriptively to explore the effectiveness of religious development programmes implemented by the RMA. The results showed that RMA has a significant role in fortifying generation Z from the adverse effects of globalisation by providing a platform for spiritual and moral development. However, challenges such as lack of youth participation and external support still hinder the implementation of these programmes. This research underscores the important role of mosques in maintaining the continuity of religious values amidst rapid globalisation. The concerted effort to optimise religious formation programmes in RMAs can serve as a model for similar efforts elsewhere, ensuring that Generation Z can grow up as spiritually and morally strong individuals to face the challenges of modern times.

Abstract

This research aims to classify the use of Javanese reduplication in words that are widely used by Javanese people in particular through word formation analysis (dwipurwa; dwilingga; dwiwasana) and the function of Javanese reduplication for the people/population in Java, of course. This research study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Therefore, this research specifically analyzes word formation in Javanese reduplication/word repetition/reduplication using the criteria/types of Javanese reduplication (dwipurwa; dwilingga; dwiwasana). The data in this research are words/reduplications in Javanese. The data source in this research is Javanese language society/culture. Supporting sources for this research are relevant articles and journals regarding language reduplication. Data was collected using critical analysis techniques, reading techniques, and continued with note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used to obtain data is through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research can be concluded that there are 40 data in total, each of which is divided into 10 data according to the Javanese language reduplication category. The function of Javanese reduplication, for example, is for emphasis, expressivity, aesthetics, etc
