Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of the material around the flat shapes of fourth grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Hartaco Indah through the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model and was carried out in 2 cycles. In the first cycle, the implementation method uses only the classical lecture method. The classical method alone is ineffective because it makes students bored, thus triggering a lack of enthusiasm in learning so that it has an impact on their learning outcomes, namely not meeting the assessment standards or KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). The KKM in class IV mathematics at UPTSPF SD Inpres Hartaco Indah was 80. In cycle II the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model was implemented. The application of this model is able to improve student learning outcomes. This can be proven from the value of learning outcomes of students in the second cycle of mathematics. In cycle I, the classical completeness score was only 46% in the moderate category and then increased in cycle II, namely 83% in the very good category. Based on the results obtained, the use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model can be said to have succeeded in increasing the results of learning mathematics on the material around a flat figure.

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools is a crucial aspect of forming individuals who are holistic, have integrity, and are ethical. This research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and direct observations of five teachers from various elementary schools to obtain rich and comprehensive data on how they implement character education in daily learning processes. The results show that the teachers have a profound philosophical awareness of the importance of character education. They not only teach moral values theoretically but also create an environment that allows students to experience and internalize these values through daily interactions. Various methods are used by the teachers, ranging from the integration of moral values into the curriculum, extracurricular activities, the use of moral stories, the habituation of positive attitudes, to class discussions and reflections. Although the methods used vary, all teachers demonstrate a strong commitment to integrating character education into every aspect of learning. This research confirms that the role of teachers in character education in elementary schools is very important and requires a deep approach and strong commitment. Character education should be seen as an integral part of education that is inseparable from the academic learning process. This research provides valuable insights into how character education can be effectively implemented in elementary schools and the importance of the teacher's role in this process.

Abstract

The Congregational Dawn Prayer Program at the Mosque for elementary school students is one of the programs of the Regent of Mandailing Natal in 2022, namely Mr. Muhammad Jafar Sukhairi Nasution, where he issued Regent Regulation No. 12 of 2022 which was signed in Panyabungan on March 14, 2022, contained in Chapter V Article 19 paragraph 1 confirming the additional content of the Religious Education curriculum in educational units in the form of habits that practice and cultivate Islamic teachings through the implementation of Congregational Dawn Prayers for Elementary School Students (SD) throughout Mandailing Natal Regency. The results of the study that the author obtained regarding the effectiveness of the implementation of congregational dawn prayers in elementary school education units in Mandailing Natal Regency are that some villages have implemented it effectively with sustainability until now, this is because of strong support from the local government, while more in various villages have no longer implemented it effectively for various reasons. It can be concluded that the Regent Regulation should be very effective in improving the character of Elementary School students, but it is ineffective because it is not implemented seriously by the relevant parties for several reasons as explained. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the implementation of Regent Regulation Number 12 of 2022 Article 19 Paragraph 1 where elementary school students, especially boys, are required to add extracurricular religious activities by implementing congregational dawn prayers at the mosque.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that significantly affects the physical growth and development of children. Families play a crucial role in preventing stunting through various means. Ensuring adequate nutrition, understanding proper dietary practices, and actively monitoring a child's growth and development are key aspects of stunting prevention within the family. Furthermore, emotional support and family education also contribute to reducing risk factors that can lead to stunting, such as stress and imbalanced eating habits. Therefore, the family's role in creating a healthy, supportive, and educational environment is paramount in addressing stunting issues and enhancing the quality of life for children.

Abstract

Arabic is one of the languages that plays an important role in the world, especially in the context of Islam and Middle Eastern culture. Early education in Arabic provides many benefits for children, including the strengthening of cultural identity, a deeper understanding of religion, and multilingual abilities that can support their cognitive development. Moreover, mastering Arabic can help children build a better cross-cultural understanding, foster tolerance, and prepare them to face an increasingly diverse global society. This research also highlights the importance of interactive and enjoyable learning approaches in teaching Arabic to children, such as the use of visual media and language games. It is hoped that Arabic education can equip children with a strong linguistic foundation and various skills relevant to their future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how high the level of parental role and student learning independence is and whether there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and student learning independence. The results obtained show that to find out what level of role parents play in students, the statistical test results mean (M) = 4.27. From these results it can be seen that the role of parents for class V students at Airmadidi Private Elementary School is in the high category, meaning parents carry out their role well. Next, to find out the level of student learning independence in class, using statistical tests and obtaining a mean value (M) = 3.95, it can be interpreted that the level of student learning independence is classified in the high category, meaning students can independently carry out the tasks they get from school, and finally, namely to find out whether there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and students' learning independence in class V of Airmadidi Private Elementary School. The number of respondents in this study was 50 students and the correlation test results obtained between the role of parents and student learning independence were p value = 000 ≤ 0.05, indicating a relationship between the role of parents and student learning independence. Therefore, the hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between the role of parents and the learning independence of class V students at Airmadidi Private Elementary School, is rejected.

Abstract

The importance of studying religious knowledge is linked to mastering scientific knowledge, enabling learning to carry deeper meaning. Islam places a high value on knowledge, requiring every Muslim to pursue education to the fullest extent. One implication of implementing the Merdeka curriculum at the level of Madrasah Ibtidayah or elementary school is the merging of several general subjects into a single theme. This integration naturally creates a gap or dichotomy between general subject areas and Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Therefore, a competency known as integration is necessary, which combines general subjects with the spirit of Islamic values. This study aims to analyze and express the implications and implementation of integrating Islamic values into Indonesian language learning at SDIT Nur Ihsan Medan. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that the level of integration of Islamic values in Indonesian language learning at SDIT Nur Ihsan Medan encompasses philosophical, methodological and research approach levels, material, strategy, and evaluation levels. A unique aspect of this school is the integration at the communication level. The level of integration at this SDIT also requires support from the teachers' knowledge and understanding of the relationships and applications of Islamic integration in a comprehensive manner, not only in terms of axiological and epistemological levels but also at the ontological level

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the integration of Ibn Maskawih's thoughts in the development of an Islamic education curriculum oriented to 21st century skills. In the context of globalization and rapid technological development, education is expected to not only focus on mastering knowledge, but also on the formation of students' character and social skills. A qualitative approach was used in this study to collect data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving educators, students, and education experts. The results of the study indicate that Ibn Maskawih's thoughts, which emphasize holistic education, are very relevant to be applied in the current Islamic education curriculum. He emphasized the importance of balanced moral, spiritual, and intellectual development, which can create individuals who are not only academically intelligent but also have good character. By integrating ethical and moral values ​​in learning, the Islamic education curriculum can function as a tool to form students who are responsible and able to face complex social challenges. This study identifies the important role of technology in supporting interactive and collaborative learning processes. The use of digital platforms, learning applications, and social media not only increases students' access to information but also encourages their active involvement in the learning process. Thus, technology can be an effective tool in developing 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This study also emphasizes the importance of balance between science and religious teachings, where both aspects complement each other in forming a whole individual. With a holistic and integrative approach, Islamic education can produce graduates who are not only competent in academics, but also have strong ethics and are able to contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that support the development of a moderate religious understanding among students in the era of globalization. Globalization, which introduces foreign cultural values such as individualism and materialism, influences students’ religious perceptions, presenting challenges in maintaining their religious identity. Using a qualitative method involving in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis of curriculum and teaching modules, this research finds that most teachers have attempted to apply discussion methods, case studies, and social simulations to instill values of moderation in PAI. The analysis reveals that although moderate values are beginning to be implemented, the PAI curriculum still predominantly emphasizes theoretical aspects, with limited scope for practical application of tolerance, inclusivity, and diversity in students’ social contexts. Meanwhile, discussion-based learning activities have proven effective in enhancing student engagement, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering openness to differences. This study recommends curriculum adjustments and teaching materials to make PAI learning more contextual and relevant, equipping students with a moderate religious perspective responsive to multicultural challenges in a globalized world

Abstract

Teachers need to design learning in a structured manner so that the goals are achieved effectively. The need for creativity in teaching methods aimed at improving the quality of the learning process. The learning model that provides students with the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills is the Problem Based Learning learning model. Problem Based Learning. One approach that can be chosen to improve students' critical thinking skills on a collaborative basis and through integration of local culture and daily life problems is the Teaching at The Righl Level (TaRl) approach. In line with this, this learning can be connected to academic content in real world situations by combining Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approaches. Furthermore, in the Industrial Revolution 5.0 era, education does not only focus on mastering students' cognitive knowledge but also emphasizes other abilities. One technology that can be integrated into learning, allows collaboration with fellow members, has a responsive website appearance and has strong security is Google Sites (G Sites). This research was carried out using two stages, Cycle I and Cycle II. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, there was an increase in students' critical thinking within the very good criteria
