Abstract

This study entitled "Effect of Atonic Concentration Doses and Cow Manure Dose on Growth of Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Prenursery System". This study aims to determine the interaction and influence of atonic concentrations and doses of cow manure on oil palm nurseries (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) In the prenursery system. This research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Warmadewa, with a height of 25 meters above sea level, which was carried out on 17 February 2019 to 18 May 2019. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with factorial patterns. The treatments that were tried consisted of two factors, namely: The first factor of atonic concentration consisted of: Z0: (Control), Z1: (Concentration of 1 cc l-1), Z2: (Concentration of 2 cc l-1), and Z3: (Concentration 3 cc l-1). The second factor is cow manure (P0) which consists of: P0: (Control), P1: (Cow Manure 15 g / polybag), P2: (Cow Manure 30 g / polybag), and P3: (Cow Manure 45 g / polybag). Thus there are 16 combinations of treatments. Each was repeated 3 times, so there were 48 oil palm seed trial units. Based on this research can be several things as follows : Research shows that the interaction between atonic concentrations and doses of cow manure on all variables observed has no significant effect. The treatment of atonic concentrations of 2 cc l-1 gave the highest average dry weight of the leaf oven at 2.87 g, an increase of 48.70% when compared with the lowest yield at the control atonic concentration of 0 cc l-1 at 1.93 g. The treatment of cow manure doses showed that in the nursery of the oil palm prenursery system all the observed variables had no significant effect.

Abstract

Basil leaves are small clumps of shrubs and have long leaves such as spurs that are widely favored by Indonesian people as fresh vegetables and rich in flovanoid compounds, tannins, safonins, and essential oils function as anti-microbial properties. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the flying fish due to the influence of the use of the concentration of basil extract and soaking time and find out how long the basil extract can maintain the freshness of the flying fish. This research was conducted at the Food Analysis Laboratory of the Warmadewa Faculty, Denpasar Veterinary Center, and LPPMHP Denpasar. This research is a factorial experiment with a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors: namely factor I, duration of immersion consisting of 2 levels, namely 1 hour and 2 hours soaking. Factor II, storage time which consists of 3 levels: 2 days, 4 days and 6 days. Variables observed in flying fish include objective observations namely analysis of water content, pH value, Total Volatile Base (TVB) value, and Total Plate Count (TPC) value. Whereas subjective observations included tests on the appearance of eyes, appearance of meat, odor / odor, and texture. The best freshness quality of the flying fish is objectively obtained in the 2 hour immersion treatment with 6 days storage time in cold temperatures (10 ± 5) ˚C and subjectively the effect of each treatment on variables, appearance of meat, odor / odor, and the texture is still good and acceptable. Overall treatment test results compared with Indonesian National Standard No. 2729-2013 shows that the test results variable meets the requirements.

Abstract

The commodity of poultry that has the greatest potential to be developed is broiler chicken, this is because the growth rate is very fast so that the maintenance period is relatively short. Livestock productivity is influenced by 30% genetic factors and 70% environmental factors. One important environmental factor to consider is maintenance management, especially feed. Chicken feather flour is one of the wastes that can be used as chicken feed. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications each test using 4 chickens. The four treatments are P0 = control ration without adding chicken feather flour, P1 = ration containing 2% chicken feather flour, P2 = ration containing 4% chicken feather flour, P3 = ration containing 6% chicken feather flour. The parameters observed were the weight of the carcass parts (chest, thighs, wings and back). The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance, if obtained significantly different data (P <0.05) will be followed by a multiple distance test from Duncan. Addition of chicken feather flour to broiler chicken ration gave no significant difference (P> 0.05) in the weight of carcass parts (chest, thighs, wings and back).

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out the type of stem borer and the percentage of attack, the type of parasitoid associated with eggs and stem borer larvae. The method used for larval sampling is purposive sampling method, namely deliberate withdrawal. Egg samples are obtained by capturing imago stem borer in the field using a sample bottle then the imago is put into a cage that has been prepared as a place of maintenance to produce eggs. For the purpose of calculating the percentage of stem borer attacks, the location of the sample is determined in rice plantations in the vegetative and generative phases which are spread over 6 planting sites with each location measuring 100 m x 100 m. At each location 5 sample plots were systematically diagonal shaped. Each sample plot consisted of 9 clumps of rice. The results found 5 types of stem borer namely Scirpophaga incertulas Walker, Scirpophaga innotata Walker, Chilo supressalis Walker, Sesamia inferens Walker and Chilo polycrhysus Meyrick. Found 1 type of stem borer parasitoid larvae, namely Stenobracon nicevillei Bingham. Three types of stem borer egg parasitoids were found, namely Tetrastichus schoenobii Ferriere, Telenomus rowani Gahan and Trichogramma japonicum Ashmead. It is known that the percentage of stem borer attacks is 11.94% in the vegetative phase and 11.60% in the generative phase.

Abstract

Plankton is instrumental in the aquatic ecosystem, plankton can be an indicator of fertility and pollution. The quality of a water especially the flooded waters can be determined based on the fluctuations of the plankton population that will affect the trophic levels of the waters. The quality of a water can be measured by knowing the value of the Saprobic Index (SI). The Saprobic index is an index that closely relates to the pollution level. This research aims to determine the level of fertility and pollution levels in the waters of Telaga Tunjung Dam, based on the status of Trophic and Saprobic's structure of Phytoplankton, knowing the relationship (linkage) of trophic status and structure Saprobic phytoplankton with variable water quality in Telaga Tunjung Dam. The methods of study used are descriptive methods of case study. The research was conducted on five stations with four repetitions. Plankton sampling performed actively using plankton net with mesh size 60 μm diameter 25 cm. Based on the results of the status of the trophic waters in Telaga Tunjung Dam is at the head of high Water Fertility (Eutrofik). The pollution level is mild to moderate water with a saprobic index from 0,739 to -0,583. The trophic level relationship and the saprobic structure with the water quality variable show that good water quality affects the abundance of high phytoplankton and mild to moderate pollution levels.

Abstract

Rambutan is one of the potential fruits to be developed. It is because Rambutan contains many compounds that are beneficial to the body. Rambutan is easily damaged if stored at room temperature. To maintain the quality and shelf life of rambutan requires a variety of techniques one of which is the temperature setting during storage. The damage of Rambutan starts from damage to the skin and fruit hair. Fresh-Cut is one way that rambutan fruit can be consumed in a longer time. Freshcut is a treatment by removing parts that are not consumed in the fruit through the process of stripping, cutting, slicer and so forth. This research was conducted using the complete random design method of factorial and 2 repeats. The first factor includes the long storage of Rambutan fruit consists of 6 levels, namely 0, L, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The second factor is the storage temperature of Rambutan fruit consists of two levels of cold temperature (7-12) C and freezing temperature ((-4)-0)C. Observations conducted objectively include: moisture content, pH, TSS, Vitamin C. Whole fruit storage and fresh-cut rambutan preferably at a temperature of 7-12C with a closed packaging. Whole fruit even though the skin has changed brown but the fruit characteristics in it is still good until Day 6, while the best characteristic of Fresh-cut Rambutan until day 3.

Abstract

The provision of adequate quality and quantity rations is expected to increase the productivity of broiler chickens. One effort to improve ration quality is to add chicken feather flour in the making of rations, because chicken feather flour is rich in crude protein. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving chicken feather flour in broiler rations aged 2-5 weeks to the growth of broiler chickens and to find out how much the level of chicken feather flour can give the results of body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption and feed conversion. best. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Each test used 4 CP 707 broilers aged 2 weeks with homogeneous body weight. The four treatments were ration without chicken feather content as a control and ration containing chicken feather flour 2%, 4%, and 6%. The parameters observed were body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption, and FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio). The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance. If between treatments showed a real effect, then proceed with the smallest real distance test from Duncan (Steel and Torie, 1989). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the provision of chicken feather flour in broiler chicken rations had a significant effect on body weight gain and final body weight, but gave no significant effect on initial body weight, FCR and ration consumption.

Abstract

Motivation is the impetus for someone to do something in various activities for which he is responsible. Job satisfaction concerns an individual's general attitude towards his job. Someone with a high level of job satisfaction shows a positive attitude towards their work, while commitment is a level of loyalty to someone like an employee who works optimally for his company. The leaders in the quality control division must pay attention to this, because the motivation given to the quality control division employees is still lacking. In addition, employees with low commitment will also affect their performance. This needs to be considered because the quality control division is an important division and is directly related to the sugar production process. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation, satisfaction and work commitment in the quality control division at PT PG Candi Baru. This research was conducted at PT PG Candi Baru Sidoarjo using primary data. The data collection method used is by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires to a sample of employees who have worked for at least 5 years. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and correlational analysis. The results showed that motivation and job satisfaction can improve employee performance in the quality control division at PT PG Candi Baru Sidoarjo, while commitment to the organization has not been able to improve employee performance in the quality control division at PT PG Candi Baru Sidoarjo. Motivation, satisfaction and work commitment influence 40% of employee performance, while the remaining 60% are other variables not mentioned in the research.
