The design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) which consists of two factors. IE: pruning Treatment consists of three levels, namely: P1 (trimming 1 week after planting), P2 (trimming 2 weeks after planting), P3 (the 3 trimming after planting). Treatment interval of the giving of the rabbit urine consists of 4 levels, namely: U0 (unannounced), U2 (3 days), and U3 (6 days). U4 (9 days). Thus there are 12 treatment combinations and each treatment was repeated three times so that there are 36 pot experiment. esearch results indicate that the interaction between treatment and trimming the interval of granting influential rabbit urine not real against all variables were observed. P3 gives the amount of pruning treatment of branches per plant increased with branch 16.25 highest 25% when compared to the number of branch lowest branch at the time of 13.00 i.e. pruning of P1. Pruning treatment gives the highest total solids solution P1 15.58 ͦ brix with increased 10.73% compared with lowerst total solids solution i.e. 14.07 ͦ brix at the time the pruning of P3. While on the treatment interval rabbit urine U2 the highest value in the variable weight of fresh fruit per plant that is 984.87 (g) and lowest at the treatment the U3 with the value of the different g 883.33 unreal with U1 and U0 treatment each value that is 943.78 g and 889.39 g.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of fruit maturity to get the quality of citrus fruits during storage. This experiment is a factorial experiment with the basic design of a simple randomized block design (RBD) one factor consisting of four levels of fruit maturity, namely: TK_1 (Physical appearance of Green fruit peels), TK_2 (Physical Display of Yellowish Green rind), TK_3 (Physical Display Yellow green rind), TK_4 (Physical Display of Evenly rind rind), each of which is repeated six times. This research was conducted in the first two places, namely in the siam plantation owned by one of the farmers in Banjar Seming, Kerta Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. The second place is the Warmadewa University Faculty of Agriculture Laboratory, which runs from March to May 2017. Fruit quality seen from physical properties during storage (8th day) there was a decrease in fruit weight which was higher in physical appearance of evenly yellow rind which was 19.19 g compared to the physical appearance of yellowish green rind which was 17.26 g. Decrease in fruit diameter is also highest obtained in the physical appearance of 100% yellow rind that is 0.56 cm compared to the physical appearance of yellowish green rind that is 0.45 cm. Fruit quality seen from the chemical properties during storage (8th day) there was a decrease in vitamin C content at all levels of fruit maturity, while the total dissolved solids increased at all levels of fruit maturity. The highest total dissolved solids were obtained on the physical appearance of evenly yellow rind that was 9.42 oBrix compared to the physical appearance of greenish yellow rind, the physical appearance of yellowish green rind and the physical appearance of rind of rind, respectively 9.38 oBrix, 8 , 63 oBrix, and 8,32 oBrix. The longer the fruit is stored the more sweet the fruit is but the fruit is increasingly constricted and unfit for consumption

Abstract

Poultry commodities that have the greatest potential to be developed are broiler chickens, because the growth is so fast that the maintenance period is relatively short. One important environmental factor to pay attention is maintenance management, especially housing. High cage density causes chicken body weight gain to be smaller compared to low cage density, so research needs to be done to find out how much the ideal density of cage. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications. P1 is 8 chickens/m2, P2 (10 chickens/m2), and P3 (12 chickens/m2). There are 9 cages and 90 broilers used. The level of cage density gave no significant effect (P>0.05) on the weight and percentage of carcass parts of broilers aged 5 weeks. of all the variables, there was a tendency for an increase in yield in the treatment of cage density of 10 m2/broiler chickens maintained for 5 weeks (P>0.05). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the density of the cage has no effect on the weight and percentage of carcass parts of broiler chickens aged 5 weeks. It can also be recommended to farmers to use cage density of 12 chickens/m2 in the maintenance of broiler chickens aged 5 weeks because they are still able to produce weight and percentage of good carcass parts

Abstract

Balinese Duck is an Indonesian native duck that has been grown and maintained by Balinese society which is commonly maintained traditionally. Protein content of duck meat is quite high which is about 18.6-20.8. The main constraint faced in maintenance is the high cost of ration that reaches 60-70% of total production cost, the utilization of banana peel as animal feed besides reducing environmental pollution also can depress feed cost. After the fermentation of nutrient value of banana skin waste increased as crude protein from 6.56% to 14.88%, crude fiber from 15.32% to 11.43%. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design consisted of 4 treatments (0, 7, 14, and 21% ducks fed with fermented banana peel flour). Each treatment consisted of 3 replications, so there were 12 plots of cages and each cage consisted of three Balinese Ducks at 2 weeks old. The number of male Balinese ducks used as many as 36 heads. The results of the statistical analysis gave no significant effect on the final body weight. The highest rate obtained at P1 1076.09 g tends to be higher than P3, P2, and P0. The weight gain in male Balinese ducks was statistically significant. The highest treatment was obtained at P1 689.09 g which tended to be higher than P3, P2, and P0. The amount of ration consumption during the study on the male Balinese ducks was statistically significant. The highest treatment was obtained at P1 that is 3671,15 g which tends to be higher than treatment of P2, P3, and P0. The addition of various levels of fermented banana peel flour statistically had an unreal effect on the highest treatment ration conversion obtained at P0 which was 5.43 followed by P2, P1, and P3 treatment. From the results of this research can be concluded that the provision of various levels of fermented banana peel did not give a real effect on the performance of Balinese Ducks from 2 to 8 weeks of age. Provision of various fermented banana peel levels at P1 (7%) tends to be higher than treatment P0, P2, and P3 against, final weight, weight gain, and consumption of Balinese Ducks ration of males aged 2-8 weeks.

Abstract

Southwest Sumba is one of the regencies in East Nusa Tenggara which has a special sambal which is very popular because of its interesting taste and aroma, the "maroto" sauce. This Sambal consists of simple ingredients namely cayenne pepper, garlic, kaffir lime, sugar and salt. How to process it is also very easy that all ingredients are pulverized and not given any additional preservatives but can be durable in a few days or even weeks. This study aims to determine whether bioplastic packaging is as effective as polypropylene plastic packaging (PP) in maintaining the characteristics of "maroto" chillies and how long the shelf life of "maroto" chillies at room temperature. The design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and two replications, the first factor is the type of packaging consisting of two types, namely polypropylene plastic packaging (PP) and bioplastic packaging. The second factor is the storage time which consists of four levels, namely first week, second week, third week and fourth week. Objective observations included: water content, total acid content, pH, vitamin C content and mold test and subjectively included: color, flavor and overall acceptance. The results obtained by bioplastic packaging have the same effectiveness as polypropylene plastic packaging (PP) in maintaining the characteristics of the "maroto" chilli on the parameters of water content, pH, total acid levels, vitamin C levels, test fungi, color, aroma, taste and overall acceptance. The storage time for "maroto" sauce in bioplastic packaging is three weeks and the storage time for "maroto" sauce in polypropylene (PP) plastic packaging is four weeks at room temperature of 28 ± 1ºC.
