Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many impacts on various sectors of life. There are many changes in habits occur in education, offices, economy, trade and many other sectors. In the economic sector, many business actors complain about the change in habits that interact directly to become connected via the internet network. Many businessmen have complained about the decreasing their income due to this pandemic and there are a lot that has been forced to permanently stop their business activities. Even so, there are still many businessmen who are still able to survive in the midst of this pandemic. They can still attract the attention of their consumers and do various ways to keep these consumers using their products. This situation is called customer engagement, which is a condition where consumers/customers feel psychologically bound/involved in the products they use. Thus, the researchers here are interested in seeing how the customer engagement picture of the people of Padang City during the covid-19 pandemic describes. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. Data were obtained using a psychological scale in the form of a questionnaire totaling 31 statement items. The results of research on 210 people show that the level of customer engagement of the people of Padang City during the Covid19 pandemic is relatively low. People do not have a high attachment or do not stick to one product, but there are other things that influence people in buying and using a product, namely the urgent need and the price given. It indirectly shows that the pandemic has had a significant impact on community customer engagement. The results of additional statistical analysis also show that differences in gender and type of work also affect the formation of community customer engagement.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui upaya apa saja yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 demi mempertahankan profit dan tetap produktif meningkatkan laba guna keberlangsungan perusahaan selain itu perusahaan dapat bertahan dalam masa krisis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dimana peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dan melakukan pengamatan langsung serta melakukan wawancara kepada pihak-pihak terkait di Terminal Petikemas Koja guna mendapatkan data yang valid untuk diolah guna mendapatkan hasil dan kesimpulan yang diinginkan peneliti. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah Terminal Petikemas Koja telah membuat dan mengimplementasikan strategi dan transformasi selama masa Covid-19 ini dengan memanfaatkan teknologi serta peningkatan kinerja karyawan serta terus berupaya menjaga nilai-nilai tata Kelola perusahaan (Good Corporate Governance) yang baik sehingga target yang di dapat oleh perusahaan dapat melampaui apa yang telah ditetapkan didalam Rencana Kerja Anggaran (RKA) dan dapat disimpulkan dengan strategi dan inovasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital yang dikembangkan secara keseluruhan oleh Terminal Petikemas Koja bukan hanya dapat bertahan dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, namun juga dapat melampaui target yang telah ditetapkan pemilik perusahaan.

Abstract

Investor menginginkan pengembalian atas investasinya baik dividen maupun capital gain. Sementara, perusahaan membutuhkan dana agar perusahaan dapat tumbuh terus menerus dan mempertahankan kelangsungan perusahaan. Aliran kas bebas yang dimiliki perusahaan berkurang akibat pembagian dividen sehingga manajemen mencari pendanaan dari luar (hutang) untuk membiayai kembali perusahaan. Kedua indikator baik kebijakan dividen dan kebijakan hutang saling berhubungan dan dapat mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan. Dalam teori Bird in The Hand, kebijakan dividen berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Free cash flow perusahaan berkurang akibat pembagian dividen sehingga perusahaan memilih kebijakan hutang. Teori trade off dan teori keagenan menyatakan hutang berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Dalam teori keagenan, kebijakan hutang dapat membantu mengurangi konflik karena hutang dapat digunakan untuk mengawasi dan mengendalikan perilaku manajemen yang dapat merugikan pemegang saham. Variabel kebijakan dividen diproksikan dengan Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), variabel kebijakan hutang diproksikan dengan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), dan variabel nilai perusahaan diproksikan dengan Price to Book Value (PBV). Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan metode path analysis dengan SPSS versi 25. Objek penelitian adalah semua perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam indeks LQ45 tahun 2015 sampai 2019 yang memiliki kebijakan dividen dan kebijakan hutang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Kebijakan dividen memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan. (2) Kebijakan dividen memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap kebijakan hutang. (3) Kebijakan hutang tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. (4) Kebijakan hutang tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara kebijakan dividen dan nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of leadership on employee performance at the Center for the Development of Quality Assurance for Vocational Education in the Field of Building and Electrical Fields, Medan. Analyzing the effect of communication on employee performance at the Center for the Development of Quality Assurance for Vocational Education in the Field of Building and Electricity, Medan. Analyzing the moderating role of the work environment on the influence of leadership on employee performance at the Center for the Development of Quality Assurance for Vocational Education in the Field of Building and Electricity, Medan. Analyzing the moderating role of the work environment on the influence of communication on employee performance at the Center for the Development of Quality Assurance for Vocational Education in the Field of Building and Electricity, Medan. This type of research is associative. The approach used is descriptive quantitative. So based on a population of 150 people, the sample taken is 50 people. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, questionnaires. This data will be analyzed with a quantitative approach using statistical analysis, namely the partial least square - structural inquiry model (PLS-SEM). The results showed that work leadership had a significant positive effect on employee performance. The results showed that Communication has a significant positive effect on employee performance. The results showed that work environment moderates the influence of leadership on employee performance. The results showed that work environment moderates the effect of communication on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the influence of leadership and work environment on employee performance mediated by work motivation at the DPRK Secretariat office in Subulussalam City directly or indirectly. The approach used in this study is a causal approach. The population in this study were all employees of the DPRK Secretariat office in Subulussalam City. The sample in this study used a saturated sample of 32 employees of the DPRK Secretariat office in Subulussalam City. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, observation, and questionnaire techniques. The data analysis technique in this study used a quantitative approach using statistical analysis using the Auter Model Analysis test, Inner Model Analysis, and Hypothesis Testing. Data processing in this study using the PLS (Partial Least Square) software program. The results of this study indicate that leadership has a significant effect on employee performance, work environment has a significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, leadership has a significant effect on work motivation, work has a significant effect on work motivation. And indirectly work motivation is able to mediate the influence of leadership on employee performance, work motivation is able to mediate the influence of the work environment on performance through employee satisfaction at the DPRK Secretariat office in Subulussalam City.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze job satisfaction in mediating the influence of the work environment and career development on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of North Sumatera. The sample in this study used a saturated sample, where all the population was sampled, but non-permanent or temporary employees were not included in the sample. The sample in this study amounted to 70 employees in the Administrative Division. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique in this study used quantitative data analysis methods, with SEM-PLS statistical analysis. Data processing in this study using the software program SmartPLS 3.3.3. The results of this study prove that the work environment directly has a significant effect on job satisfaction, career development directly has a significant effect on job satisfaction, directly the work environment has no significant effect on performance, career development directly has a significant effect on performance, directly job satisfaction has no significant effect on performance, indirectly job satisfaction acts as a mediator between the work environment on performance, indirectly job satisfaction acts as a mediator between career development and performance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of North Sumatera

Abstract

In this era, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, people are using technology to buy and sell goods or services via the internet to reduce direct contact to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus. This phenomenon is known as electronic commerce or e-commerce. The e-commerce phenomenon provides a choice of ways to shop for people without the need to come directly to the store. Shopee is the most popular marketplace for online shopping, followed by Tokopedia, Bukalapak and Lazada. Shopee is the e-commerce site with the most visits in Indonesia during the pandemic, namely in Q3 with an average total visit of 96 million per month. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of price, trust, ease of use, and promotion on online shopping decisions at Shopee during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sampling technique in this study was probability sampling so that a sample of 98 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra. Data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative approach with descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The data processing in this study used SPSS 16 software. The results showed that price, trust, application use and promotion partially influenced purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Supervision is a function in functional management that must be carried out by each leader of all units or work units on the implementation of work or employees who carry out in accordance with their respective main tasks. Motivation is a variety of efforts made by humans, of course, to fulfill their wants and needs. Work discipline is an attitude that is obedient to the rules and norms that apply in a company in order to increase the constancy of employees in achieving company or organizational goals. While performance is a science that combines art in it to apply a management concept that has a representative and aspirational level of flexibility in order to realize the vision and mission of the agency by using people in the organization. The population in this study were all employees of the state civil apparatus at the Medan City Library and Archives Service, amounting to 54 people, while the sample was the total population of 54 people. Data collection techniques using a list of questions such as questionnaires and data analysis techniques using Partial Least Square (SmartPls) to test the seven hypotheses proposed in this study. The results of the research show that: (1) the effect of supervision on performance is positive and significant; (2) the effect of motivation on performance is negative and not significant; (3) the effect of supervision on work discipline is positive and significant; (4) the effect of motivation on work discipline is negative and insignificant; (5) the effect of work discipline on performance is positive and not significant; (6) work discipline mediates the effect of supervision on performance is positive and not significant; (7) work discipline mediates the effect of motivation on performance is negative and not significant.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style, work discipline and training on the performance of employees at Martha Friska Brayan Hospital in Medan. The research method used is quantitative analysis where the variables are measured using a Likert scale. The data collection method is done using a questionnaire. The study was conducted using a validity sample of 61 people taken from the total population of 61 people. Data processing using SPSS version 24 software with descriptive analysis, classical hypothesis testing, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination (R2). The results showed that (1) the leadership style obtained a t-count value of 2,928, which was higher than the table of 1,672. Thus, the leadership style variable had a positive and significant effect in part. on the performance of hospital employees (2) Work discipline obtained an account value t of 3,929 is greater than the table t. Thus, the work discipline variable partly has a positive and significant effect on the performance of hospital employees. (3). For the training variable, the results of t-count 4,302 are higher than those of table t, which means that partially the training variable has a positive and significant effect on the performance of hospital employees. Martha Friska Brayan Medan. (4) Simultaneously, a value of 19.746 is obtained, which is greater than the f table of 2.77. Thus, simultaneously, the independent variables, leadership style, work discipline and training have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of Martha Friska Brayan Medan Hospital.
