Abstract

The curriculum is an important aspect of achieving educational goals. Education not only provides knowledge about the environment but also increases awareness and concern for environmental conditions. This research was conducted with the aim of describing the concept and application of environmentally sound curriculum management, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and efforts to overcome them. This study uses a qualitative - descriptive approach, with a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through interviews, documentation and literature study. The results showed that SD Alam Pacitan is a school that implements environmentally friendly curriculum management. That curriculum makes environmental elements the main object in the learning process to help characterize students. There are 4 stages carried out, that's are planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The inhibiting factors consist of the lack of facilities, infrastructure, and funding. The action to overcome this is the establishment of cooperation with many parties.

Abstract

This study aimed at examining how teachers evaluate their principal’s leadership competencies in terms of principal-staff relation, organization, and building management, student relationship, curriculum and program development, community, and parent relation. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted at elementary and middle schools. The subjects were 30 teachers. The data were gathered using the Performance Evaluation of Education Leader. The data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively reported. The findings revealed that the principals at the two schools show different results. The principal of elementary school effectively perform in principal-staff relations, students’ relationships, and community and parent relations. Meanwhile, the principal of middle school show effective performance not only in the above three-mentioned aspects but also in organization and building management as well as curriculum and program development.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the facts regarding the factors regarding to constitute the society perspective in glorifying Walisongo. With the da'wah strategy of the Sunans, which began and was widely accepted by Javanese people at that time, many generations made Walisongo as the charismatic figure examples. Thus, it is feared that the society will adhere to previous community rules which acculturated to Hindu culture and forget the Islamic rules based on the Prophet guidance. The society's perspective on Walisongo revolves around that the wali are the ancestry of Prophet Muhammad, the descendants of the king and have the great powers. The roots of the formation of a community perspective regarding the greatness of Walisongo such as paternalistic society, unwilling to learn and bound by maintained family traditions. Based on the literature review, it was found that Walisongo was an ordinary human being and stories about supernatural powers and karomah were affixes stories that were added by parents to their children in the past which eventually formed the crystallization.

Abstract

The problem of gender justice in Islamic education starts from history and is still visible on the outside in our Islamic educational institutions. It was only in the 20th century that women obtained equal rights in education, although this equality had not been fully marked by the leaders of educational institutions in general, which were men. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with library-based data collection. The results of this study indicate that there is a need for gender equality reformulation in the leadership of Islamic educational institutions so that they can be more advanced and have high competitiveness, namely by utilizing a leadership model that includes women as part of the leadership board, namely 1) forming a board of directors. leaders of educational institutions by paying attention to gender participation, 2) increasing the facilitation of Islamic educational institutions for women, including sports and skills facilities.

Abstract

Islamic education is a medium to make perfect human beings and have the ability to know and obey their God. The essence of Islamic education is an interaction of two components of education, namely educators and students. This research aims to determine the concept of educators and students from the perspective of Al-Ghazali and its implications for education in Indonesia. To achieve this goal, the researcher uses the literature study method by examining data sources from books, scientific journals, and research reports which are then used to identify the concepts of educators and students. The results of this study indicate that the concept of educator according to Al-Ghazali not only provides knowledge but also provides moral development and straightens the behavior of students with Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, according to Al-Ghazali, the concept of students is human nature, so they need guidance to meet their needs.

Abstract

This study discusses situational leadership in maintaining the tradition of salafiah education and scholarship at the Sabilul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School, Kab. Banyuasin. The background study is based on the Islamic boarding schools can respond to every change and adapt to the demands of the times but do not eliminate their characteristics as a salaf cottage in which there is a tradition of salafiyah education and scholarship. This study aims to analyze how the situational model of a Kiyai in Islamic boarding schools can combine the Khalafi education system with the salaf while responding to various educational challenges but maintaining the salafiah tradition. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods using a sociological approach and phenomenological research design. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The data that has been collected is analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The study results indicate that the Sabilul Hasanah Islamic boarding school is ready to face the changes and developments of the times by remaining accommodating to these changes. It can be understood that the salaf or traditional does not reject modernity at all. It is just that they do not just accept modernity. Positive changes are resulting from the development of the times and technology. This tradition aims inside to maintain the historical values of Islamic education, spiritual values, attitude, and morals and uphold the attitude of simplicity, tawaddu' and ta'zaim, but also exemplifies local cultural values Public Muslims with the concept of Almuhafadhotu 'ala qodimissholeh (always maintain and maintain good traditions). As for the supporting factors, the religious atmosphere of the area, the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools, qualified teaching staff in yellow books, the cottage curriculum, while the inhibiting factors for learning are so dense, the curriculum is considered old-fashioned learning methods.

Abstract

Religion-belief in God fundamentally that has been held and believed by the majority of people. Religion is the one that governs all lines of life and procedures. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they were then asked about how religion responded to it. The fiqh disaster study is one of the answers that are quite important to consider. The importance of understanding fiqh has implications for legal development which is intended to build a goal, namely to attract maslahat and reject mafsadat. The method used in this study is library research which shintesizes the literatures related to this concern issues. The religious response is in the form of a fatwa issued by the Ulama which actually absorbs the principles of ushul fiqh (as one of the sources) which can be combined with the education-neuroscience pattern. The correlation of the religious response in this case regarding the study of fiqh principles with Islamic-neuroscience education is that jurisprudence is able to open the human mindset regarding the problems at hand, including the Covid-19 pandemic. This concept is able to change the existing worship patterns in society. From those who initially performed worship in congregation at the Mosque (for Muslims), then switched to worship which was carried out independently in their respective homes. This proves that in a situation like this, people are required to be aware of the importance of reviewing the science of religion (Islam) as a guide in carrying out life in various situations. This is as a purpose of the concern study currently when the global infacted the Covid-19 pandemic and how Islam as a religion gives solution for these problems accurately by following the quran and hadith that covered in the concept of fiqh disaster

Abstract

This study aims to reveal: 1) Mahmud Yunus' thoughts on the application of the Eclectic Method to teaching Arabic language material, 2) the reflection of Mahmud Yunus' thoughts on the implementation of the Eclectic method of teaching Arabic material at the Darus Salam Gontor Islamic boarding school. This study used a qualitative design, with two approaches; 1) literature study on Mahmud Yunus's thoughts on the Eclectic Method and 2) case study on discussing the implementation of the Eclectic Method in Mahmud Yunus' perspective. The research data were obtained using documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews. The data is then validated for correctness, suitability and reliability through data triangulation. The findings of this study illustrate that; (1) according to Mahmud Yunus that each branch of the Arabic language material is taught with various methods while still centered on one method (direct method), (2) The implementation of Arabic teaching methods at Pondok Gontor Sembilan shows conformity with Mahmud Yunus's thoughts on aspects of combining methods which is in line with the direct method in a systematic and tiered manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the values of religiosity in the novel “Bulan Terbelah di Langit di Amerika”  (BTDLA) and its  values of moral/character education contained of the novel.The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a literature review approach. This research is a library research, with the primary data source is the novel BTDLA by Hanum Salsabila Rais Rangga Almahendra, and the secondary data sources are books, articles relevant to religious values, and research journals related to the novel. The data was collected by using literary research techniques. The technique used in this study was critical reading and content analysis.The results of this study indicate that there are religious values in the BTDLA novel and its relevance to the values of character education (morals), namely: (1) there is a good relationship between humans and God, humans with humans, humans with the environment, and society; (2) the relationship between humans and God is good and also depends on how humans treat other humans; (3) Learn about the values of caring for others, respecting differences, and remaining peaceful and prosperous without any debate and upholding religious tolerance, without tarnishing one's own beliefs or those of others.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Muhammadiyah people's altruism and generosity during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Sorong district using Lazismu. In this case, one of the Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat and Alms Institutions, often referred to as Lazismu, has been instrumental in raising locals' knowledge of the need of dispersing aid from zakat and alms. Despite Lazismu's zeal for carrying out its operations, there are still many Muhammadiyah members' support mechanisms for other Muhammadiyah members that need to be scrutinized, since they haven't entirely made room for Lazismu to function effectively. This study's implementation took place at Lazismu, Sorong Regency. Sources of data were obtained from Muhammadiyah members who contributed to Lazismu. The method used is the qualitative method. Researchers see the existing phenomena related to the generosity of Muhammadiyah residents through Lazismu. Based on the results of research and data analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the level of generosity through Lazismu is very high.
