Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Indigofera zollingeriana, Zinc, dan Selenium terhadap kadar kalsium darah dan susu sapi perah laktasi. Penelitian menggunakan 20 ekor sapi perah Friesian Holstein dengan usia kebuntingan 7-8 bulan dari BPPIB TSP Bunikasih. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Data dianalisis dengan Uji Sidik Ragam. Perlakuan terdiri dari empat perlakuan yaitu, P0 = 45% Rumput Gajah + 55% Konsentrat, P1 = 45% Rumput Gajah + 40% Konsentrat + 15% I. zollingeriana, P2 = 45% Rumput Gajah + 55% Konsentrat + 40 ppm Zn dan 0,3 ppm Se, P3 = 45% Rumput Gajah + 40% Konsentrat + 15% I. zollingeriana + 40 ppm Zn dan 0,3 ppm Se. Setiap perlakuan memiliki 5 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian I. zollingeriana, Zinc, dan Selenium tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar kalsium darah dan susu pada sapi perah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa pemberian I. zollingeriana, Zinc, dan Selenium tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kadar kalsium darah dan susu pada sapi perah. Selanjutnya, tidak ditemukan korelasi antara kadar kalsium darah dan susu pada minggu pertama setelah beranak (P>0,05).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian mengenai Uji Kimia Tepung Daun Kersen (Muntingia calabura) dan Implementasinya dalam Ransum Ayam Broiler Terhadap Nilai Kecernaan telah dilaksanakan di Labroratorium Sentral Universitas Padjadjaran untuk Uji Kimia tepung daun kersen dan Uji Kecernaan di laksanakan di Kandang Prodi Peternakan Universitas Khairun, Ternate. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari R0 (100% ransum komersil); R1 (2% tepung daun kersen dan 98% ransum komersil); R2 (4% tepung daun kersen dan 96% ransum komersil); R3 (6% tepung daun kersen dan 94% ransum komersil); dan R4 (8% tepung daun kersen dan 92% ransum kontrol). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis of variance (Anova) dan jika ada perbedaan di uji lanjut menggunakan uji Dunken. Penambahan tepung daun kersen dalam ransum menunjukkan (1). Uji Kimia tepung daun kerssen tinggi kandungan EM yaitu 3988 kkal/kg; Protein Kasar 12,56; Lemak 8,24% dan Serat Kasar 14,85%  (2)  Rata-rata nilai kecernaan bahan organik yaitu R0 (77.84%); R1 (80.29); R2 (82.46); R3 (82.19) dan R4 (76. 24) persen menunjukkan perbedaan nyata (P<0.05). (3) Rata-rata nilai kecernaan bahan kering yaitu R0 (72.52); R1 (76.80); R2 (79.56); R3 (76. 18) dan R4 (70.80) persen berbeda nyata (P<0.05). (4) Rata-rata nilai kecernaan protein yaitu R0 (70.30); R1 (73.18); R2 (73.38); R3 (72.14) dan R4 (69.24) menunjukkan perbedaan nyata (P<0,05). Penggunaan tepung daun kersen dalam ransum ayam broiler sampai 6% dapat memberikan performan yang optimal.Kata Kunci :   Uji kimia, daun kersen, broiler, kecernaan bahan organik, kecernaan bahan kering, kecernaan protein

Abstract

The research about the correlation between the role of leadership and business success of cattle farmers group was at members of cattle farmers group at Tegalsari village and Warung Jeruk village on SPR’s programme, District Tegalwaru, Purwakarta Regency. The aims of this research was to : (a)  know the role of leadership the cattle farmers group at group of livestock Mekarjaya and Tegalsaluyu, (b) know the level bussines success of cattle farming at group of livestock Mekarjaya and Tegalsaluyu, and (c) to know the correlation  between the role of leadership and business success of cattle farmers group on SPR’s programme at Mekarjaya and Tegalsaluyu’s groups. The method of research was survey with the technic sampling was proportional random sampling, in order to obtain thirty  respondents. The data was analyzed by using rank Sperman correlation. The result of research showed that: 1)  The role of leadership on farmer livestock   Mekarjaya and Tegalsaluyu groups belong to good category. 2) the business success of cattle farming at group of livestock Mekarjaya and Tegalsaluyu belong to fair category. 3)There was positive strong correlation between the role of leadership with business success of cattle farmer group (rs= 0.87).

Abstract

Sperm sexing applications can support the effectiveness of artificial insemination (AI) programs in sheep. The albumin column method is one method of sperm sexing that is relatively easy and inexpensive compared to other methods, but research needs to be done to obtain a method that results in the quality and longevity of sexed sperm that is feasible to use for AI programs, one of which is by searching for incubation or sexing time. This study used 10 ejaculate semen from two local sheep around 2-3 years old. We used bovine serume albumin (BSA) as the albumin column with two fractions which is 5% in the upper fraction and 10% in the lower fraction. The treatment given was three lengths of incubation/sexing time (45, 60 and 75 minutes) which were repeated 10 times. Parameters consist of the quality of semen (motility, abnormalities, intact plasma membrane, intact acrosome cup) and longevity. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and Duncan's advanced test. The results showed that the length of sexing time had a very significant effect on the quality of semen, but the length of incubation/sexing time up to 75 minutes still produced the quality of semen that was qualify for AI. The result also showed that incubation/sexing time does not affect the longevity of sexed sperm. It was concluded that the quality of sexed sperm of local ram that sexing with albumin colums fulfilled the quality for artificial insemination and the incubation/sexing time for 45-75 minutes can be used to obtain the qualify sexed sperm for artificial insemination with chilled semen.

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to determine the extent from the influence of various additives on the physical and chemical quality of silage of corn straw (Zea mays. L). This study was carried out using the experimental method and Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments consisting of P0: corn straw silage without additives, P1: corn straw silage + 0.5% Heryaki powder, P2: corn straw silage + 5% cassava flour and P3: corn straw silage + 5% sago flour and 5 replications. Data on physical quality (odor, color and texture) were analyzed descriptively while chemical quality data (pH and ammonia were analyzed using ANOVA variance, followed by Duncan's Multiple Distance Test. Giving additives of Heryaki powder, cassava flour and sago flour showed good results on the physical quality of corn straw silage (sour smell, brownish green and texture does not clot) and has a significant effect on honey and ammonia.

Abstract

Strategi pemenuhan asupan protein dalam rangka peningkatan produktivitas ternak  ruminansia, selain berasal dari protein mikrobial (protein endogeneous) maka juga diperlukan protein exogenous melalui asupan pakan.  Pakan berprotein tinggi umumnya berasal dari hewan. Keong mas berpotensi sebagai sumber protein hewani, akan tetapi protein tersebut perlu diproteksi agar tidak didegradasi oleh mikroba rumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek level tanin pada proteksi protein tepung keong mas terhadap profil fermentabilitas dan kinerja kecernaan secara in vitro. Penelitian in telah dilaksanakan dengan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap empat perlakuan, meliputi perlakuan P0 = 0% tanin, P1= 1,5% tanin, P2= 3,0% dan P3= 4,5% tanin masing-masing diulang lima kali. Analisis in viro telah dilakukan untuk mengukur fermentabilitas melalui indikator produksi konsentrasi NH3 dan total VFA, serta analisis terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan organik.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fermentabilitas tepung keong yang diproteksi tanin pada level 1,5% menurun, sedangkan kecernaannya meningkat.  Disimpulkan bahwa tanin mampu melindungi protein tepung keong mas terhadap degradasi mikroba rumen. Kata kunci : keong mas, tanin, fermentabilitas, kecernaan, in vitro

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini  untuk mengetahui pengaruh level suhu mesin tetas terhadap daya tetas dan bobot tetas day old quail (DOQ) puyuh Padjadjaran. Penelitian secara eksperimental, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 3 level suhu diulang sebanyak 7 kali. Level suhu mesin tetas terdiri atas T1 = 37,0 , T2 = 37,5 , dan T3 = 38,0 °C. Parameter yang diamati adalah daya tetas telur dan bobot tetas DOQ. Data  penelitian diolah menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila memberikan hasil yang signifikan, dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan level suhu mesin tetas 37,5°C selama masa inkubasi menghasilkan daya dan bobot tetas DOQ puyuh Padjadjaran yang optimal.

Abstract

Kulit singkong merupakan limbah pertanian yang masih memiliki potensi nutrien untuk ruminansia. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan kulit singkong dalam ransum domba dan dampaknya terhadap kecernaan. Dua puluh ekor domba dengan bobot badan 23 ± 1,2 kg dialokasikan secara acak ke dalam 5 macam perlakuan ransum yang mengandung 0, 6, 12, 18, dan 24 %. Data terkumpul dilakukan analysis ragam (ANOVA). Hasil analsis menunjukan bahwa semua perlakuan menghasilkan kecernaan bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar dan lemak kasar yang sama dengan kisaran nilai berturut-turut 63,31-66,80%, 70,84-74,23%, 59,73-63,13%, dan 25,68-37,42%. Kesimpulan, penggunaan singkong kering dalam ransum domba sebanyak 24% tidak mengganggu kecernaan.

Abstract

Anti-nutrients or anti-nutritional factors may be defined as those substances generated in natural feedstuffs by the normal metabolism of species and by different mechanisms. Anti-nutritonal factors are substances which either by themselves or through their metabolic products, interfere with feed utilization and affect the health and production of animal or which act to reduce nutrient intake, digestion, absorption and utilization and may produce other adverse effects Removal of undesirable components is essential to improve the nutritional quality of livestock feed and effectively utilize their full potential as ruminants feed ingredient. It is widely accepted traditionally methods that simple and inexpensive processing techniques are effective methods of achieving desirable changes in the composition of forage, legume and grain. Chopping, grinding, soaking, roasting, germination and chemical treatment could improve the quality of feed because of the reduce, removal or inactivation of some anti-nutritional factors. Traditional methods, both single and combination, have been proven capable of working by small-scale farmers in developing countries and can reduce the operational costs of processing feed ingredients to reduce ANF content and improve the quality of nutritional value.Keywords : anti nutritional factors, feedstuffs, traditionally methods, inexpensive

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan fermentasi onggok dan tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) menggunakan Chrysonilia crassa terhadap profil eritrosit ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 200 ekor ayam broiler strain Lohman dengan bobot awal rata-rata 46,28 ± 0,86 gram. Pakan disusun dari bahan-bahan yang diramu menjadi pakan basal yang mengandung PK 20-22% dan EM 2900-3000 kal/g. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Ransum perlakuan berupa T1 (Pakan Basal), T2 (Pakan Basal + Antibiotik 0,1%), T3 (Pakan Basal + Onggok fermentasi 20%) dan T4 (Pakan Basal + Onggok fermentasi 20% + Probiotik 0,1%) yang diberikan pada umur 8 – 35 hari. Parameter yang diukur meliputi total eritrosit, hemoglobin, hematokrit dan indeks eritrosit (Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Mean Copuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) dan Mean Corpuscular Hemogblobin Concentration (MCHC)). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis keragamannya pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan fermentasi onggok dan tepung daun kelor tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap total eritrosit, hematokrit dan indeks eritrosit, namun berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap hemoglobin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan fermentasi tepung daun kelor dan onggok tidak mempengaruhi kadar eritrosit ayam broiler.
