Abstract

Abstract: In running a business, entrepreneurs are required to follow several written regulations established by the government and regulated by law. In the pharmaceutical industry, entrepreneurs must register their products with a specific agency, namely BPOM. The government has created regulations regarding the supervision of cosmetic circulation to protect consumers and ensure the safety of cosmetic products. These regulations are designed to address the sale of cosmetics without trading permits. This research aims to understand how supervision is implemented and why it is ineffective in protecting consumers. The methods used are normative, and the research specification is descriptive analytical. The results indicate that the supervision conducted does not meet cosmetic supervision regulations and does not encompass the stage of consumer protection. The ineffectiveness of supervision is caused by law enforcement officials who cannot follow existing government regulations, as well as low public awareness. Keywords: BPOM, Cosmetics, Consumen Protection

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus infection and transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. The incidence of DHF is greatly influenced by environmental sanitation conditions and community prevention behavior. An unclean environment and lots of stagnant water are ideal breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes, increasing the risk of dengue virus transmission. This study aims to determine the relationship between environmental sanitation conditions and 3M plus behavior in families with the incidence of DHF in the Toboali Health Center Work Area in 2024. This study uses a case control study design. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 54 DHF patients and 54 DHF patients at the Toboali Health Center, South Bangka Regency on October 30 - November 20, 2024. The data collected were then analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The results of this study prove that there is a relationship between environmental sanitation (p-value = 0.000), and 3M plus behavior (p-value = 0.000) on the incidence of DHF in the Toboali Health Center Work Area in 2024. It is hoped that the Toboali Health Center can routinely hold counseling at the RT/RW level, schools, and places of worship to increase public awareness of the importance of 3M Plus behavior. Using visual media such as posters, videos, and direct simulations can strengthen public understanding of preventive measuresKeywords : DBD, 3M Plus Behavior, Environmental Sanitation.

Abstract

Abstract: Hypertension or often known as high blood pressure is a medical condition characterized by a sustained increase in blood pressure in the blood vessels. Based on the Indonesian Health Profile in 2022, the number of deaths of pregnant women in 2022 reached 3,572 deaths. The province of South Sulawesi reached 195 cases. Takalar Regency is one of the districts in South Sulawesi. Takalar has 15 health centers and the highest hypertension rate is in Tanakeke Health Center. The Pattassang Health Center is the health center with the second highest case of hypertension in pregnant women. The general objective is to determine the aspects of pregnant women towards the incidence of hypertension. The research design used in this study is Case Control. The research was conducted at Pattallassang Health Center in June 2023. The study population was all pregnant women totaling 213 people. The sample amounted to 152 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between the age of pregnant women (p value: 0.000) and parity (p value: 0.037) to the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women. It is recommended that pregnant women should more regularly check or control blood pressure so that early signs of hypertension can be detected, especially for pregnant women who are <20 years old and >25 years old and have a history of previous pregnancies. Keywords: Hypertension, Parity, Age.

Abstract

Abstract: IUD (Intrauterine Device) is one type of Long Term Contraceptive Method (MKJP) that is highly recommended by the government to use. Based on an initial survey conducted in the working area of the Sungai Bulian Health Center, it is known that the low use of the IUD is because mothers feel embarrassed and afraid of the installation of the IUD. Mothers feel embarrassed because the installation of the IUD is done through the vagina. Mothers feel afraid because they are worried that health workers are not skilled in installing IUDs that can cause side effects as well as because the IUD is inserted in the uterus. Husband support was also not obtained by the respondents interviewed, including the husband did not participate in the selection of contraceptives, did not take the mother for the installation of contraceptives. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of husband factors with interest in the use of Intra Uterine Device contraceptives. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted in the Working Area of the Sungai Bulian Health Center. The research was conducted in November 2023. The population is active family planning acceptors in the Sungai Bulian Health Center working area totaling 453 people. The sample amounted to 74 people. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between husband's income (p value: 0.044) and husband's support (p value: 0.018) on interest in using the IUD. It is recommended for Puskesmas to be more active in providing health information to improve IEC to married couples who want to use family planning, especially the IUD, and health workers also provide information to PUS to bring their husbands to participate in socialization so that husbands can support their wives to use family planning, especially the IUD.Keywords: Husband Support, Intra Uterine Device, Income.

Abstract

Abstract: Based on preliminary studies conducted at RSUD Sheikh Yusuf, data related to the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) shows a significant number. In 2022, the number of mothers who gave birth at the hospital was recorded at 1,541 people, and of these, 1,264 mothers successfully underwent IMD. This indicates a fairly high rate of IMD implementation in that year. However, in September 2023, although the number of mothers who gave birth was recorded at 82 people, only 66 mothers were able to carry out IMD. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation between maternal aspects and early breastfeeding initiation. The research design used in this study was Cross Sectional. The research was conducted at Sheikh Yusuf Hospital. The research was conducted in December 2023. The population was all new mothers who gave birth at Sheikh Yusuf Hospital in November 2023 as many as 64 people. The sample amounted to 64 people using Total Sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between maternal knowledge (p value: 0.038) and maternal health status (p value: 0.029) on Early Breastfeeding Initiation. It is recommended that the hospital can carry out monitoring and evaluation activities and appoint a person in charge of monitoring the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) so that it can be carried out properly. Keywords: Early Breastfeeding Initiation, Maternal Knowledge, Maternal Health Status
