Abstract

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world. However, the sea in Indonesia is now increasingly polluted, so many marine animals die and become extinct even before they are identified. Therefore, there is a need for educational media about marine animals, especially for children aged 5-7 years so that they can still get to know marine animals even though they will become extinct one day. In addition, by teaching them about sea animals, they can also fall in love with sea animals and protect them. The educational media used is video motion graphics because children aged 5-7 years are at the stage of cognitive development, namely children aged 5-7 years tend to represent material through schemes, pictures and symbols. This motion graphic video is designed using the main character, a sea superhero and supporting characters in the form of talking sea animals. Apart from that, in this motion graphic video there is also a game so that it gets an interesting impression.

Abstract

The earliest modes of human communication were gestures and symbols, which eventually evolved into letters and fonts that are crucial for facilitating everyday activities. Font design (typeface) development reflects the current cultural zeitgeist and allows traditional elements to be incorporated as visually relevant elements in modern situations, one of which is the Sundanese Wayang Golek possesses anatomical characteristics that resemble those of humans, making it possible to adapt them as a typeface element and incorporate them into visual designs. This study employs a technique that blends anatomical elements of fonts and Sundanese Wayang Golek, to discuss the innovation of decorative typeface design, utilizing the SCAMPER model approach as a brainstorming method. The approach was initially introduced by Alex Osborne in 1953 and later developed by Bob Eberle in 1971. The typeface design outcomes are expected to reflect the representation of Sundanese Wayang Golek, by following the typographical principle. This research's significance is that it offers a strategic and creative approach to introducing Sundanese culture through typefaces

Abstract

The creation of this Tugas Akhir Course (Final Project) departs from the writer's anxiety about people's response to women who are considered not beautiful. This is one of the impacts of beauty myths that are felt by women. On this Final Assignment the writer creates three dimensional works of art with a source of inspiration the myth of female beauty. On the creation of these three dimensional works of art, an experiment was carried out with stick glue medium. This Final Assignment departs from the visual concept and method of creation by Joris Kuipers. Kuipers creates installation art in the figurative abstractionism style. Joris Kuipers' method of creation and figurative abstractionism style the basis for the realization of these three dimensional works of art. The creation method used by Kuipers has three stages; the idea exploration stage, the initial idea development stage, and the media experiment stage. The creation of Final Assignment aims to criticize the myth of female beauty.

Abstract

The emergence of a large event known as the Jember Fashion Carnival has become an interesting phenomenon. The city of Jember, which initially had no history of carnivals and fashion, has now become the center of influential fashion carnivals in Indonesia and even on the world stage. This research uses a literature review approach to analyze the factors that have supported the sustainability of the Jember Fashion Carnival to date. The data source used in this research is secondary data, obtained through Google Scholar and Scopus to search for relevant journals. Journals that were found were then selected based on titles that matched the research focus. From the search results, the author succeeded in identifying 15 journals which were then summarized into 5 journals that represent a uniform view from all journals that have the same point of view. The results of this research show that in the context of cultural resource management, economic impact, community empowerment, and tourism promotion, the Jember Fashion Carnival (JFC) phenomenon and the fashion carnival phenomenon in Indonesia as a whole produce significant findings. Efficient management of local cultural resources has enabled JFC to become a driving force in local economic growth, with visible impacts in the tourism sector and related industries. The event also empowers communities by creating opportunities in the performing arts and creative industries. Abstract

This study proposes an in-depth analysis approach to the visual resemblance of human facial characters within the context of designing 3D facial characters titled "Sibling Reflection." The analysis method employed involves a visual comparison approach, identifying and analyzing anatomical features and expressions of human facial characters. Principles of facial proportions, eye shapes, noses, mouths, and other anatomical details are explored to establish a reference foundation for the design of 3D facial characters. Guided by the data from the analysis of human facial characters, the subsequent step involves the design of the 3D facial character " Cerminan Bersaudara " using Blender software, with the goal of achieving a high level of visual resemblance. This design process encompasses iterative iterations, in-depth evaluations, and adjustments by design experts and animators. Through the proposed approach, this research aims to generate a 3D facial character design that approaches the level of visual resemblance achieved by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The successful achievement of the expected visual resemblance in the design of the 3D facial character " Cerminan Bersaudara " is expected to have a positive impact on the audience's experience, particularly in the consumption of 3D character-based entertainment content
