Abstract

The runway is equipped with visual aids that provide the aircraft's direction and angle of inclination that must be followed for a safe landing, also served by the ILS (Instrument Landing System). The procedure for providing OJT service units at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport Pekanbaru is the Electrical Mechanical Facility (EMF) to support ongoing operational activities. Electrical Mechanical Facility (EMF) Units. is one of the work units of Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport Pekanbaru which has the duties and responsibilities to operate, maintain and carry out repairs to all electrical and mechanical facilities equipment. Electrical facilities include AFL (Airfield Lighting), which is commonly used as a visual guide for pilots to take off and land an aircraft, and a generating system (Distribution Transmission). Mechanical Facilities include conveyors, escalators, travelators, lifts, plumbing systems, etc. This unit is located in the Main Power House (MPH) building.

Abstract

Bandar udara (Bandara) merupakan sebuah fasilitas tempat pesawat terbangdapat lepas landas. kelistrikan bandara yang mencakup penerangan bandara serta sistem kelistrikan di sisi udara (air side) yangdisebut dengan Air Field Lighting. Airfield Lighting System (AFL) merupakan alat bantu pendaratan visual yang berfungsi membantu dan melayani pesawat terbang selama tinggal landas, mendarat dan melakukan taxi (jalan menuju apron) agar dapat bergerak secara efisien dan aman. Rotating beacon yang berada di Bandar Udara Internasional Adi Soemarmo Solo sudah termakan usia karena sudah 42 tahun digunakan sejak 1979. Maka dari itu, kondisi rotating beacon sering bermasalah, yaitu tidak berfungsinya rotating beacon dengan normal sehingga perlupenggantian peralatan rotating beacon yang baru.

Abstract

This research examines the Mach Airspeed Warning System on aircraft at PT. Batam Aero Technic as a hangar or aircraft maintenance service provider registered with the Ministry of Transportation. The Mach airspeed warning system supports an aural warning system to help turn on the aircraft when the aircraft is in a condition exceeding or approaching the airspeed limit which will later enter the Mach speed. The research method used is descriptive and qualitative. Beginning with the experience of any consequences related to the Mach Airspeed Warning System, then presenting solutions to the potential hazards carried out by the author so that these potential hazards can be reduced. The results of the study found 4 causes that made errors in Mach Airspeed.

Abstract

This study describes the improvement of radio frequency VHF APP and VHF ER caused by bandwidth widening. VHF is the frequency used to transmit data that is transmitted in all directions. VHF A/G is an equipment used for communication between air traffic control (ATC) and pilot with a frequrncy range of 117.9 MHz – 137 MHz. To overcome the widening of the bandwidth, re-setting is done by using a cavity filter with a resonant frequency of 132.3 MHz and passing frequencies above the cut-off frequency. With the re –setting using a cavity filter, the bandwidth can be narrowed again so as to eliminate interference between VHF APP radios and VHF ER, but as a result the transmit power distance on VHF is reduced but does not reduce the performance of the radio. Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di AirNav Cabang Denpasar dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran apakah ada pengaruh beban kerja Air Traffic Controller (ATC) yang muncul selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Proses pengolahan data dilakukan di Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug (PPI Curug) mulai Desember 2020 hingga Agustus 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel ini adalah seluruh ATC Tower Perum LPPNPI Cabang Denpasar yang mengoperasikan penggabungan sektor Ngurah Ground, Ngurah Tower, dan Clearance Delivery. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumentasi yang berisi data tentang Performance Check ATC Tower, dan kuesioner Nasa-TLX. Ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif dan berbanding terbalik (berlawanan arah) antara Beban Kerja Pemandu Lalu Lintas Udara dengan Kinerja sebesar -0,439. Pengaruh pemenuhan beban kerja pemandu lalu lintas udara terhadap kinerja ATC penerbangan sebesar 19% dan sisanya ditentukan oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam bagian penelitian. Perlu adanya perhatian khusus pada setiap beban kerja ATC Tower, dan perlu adanya sosialisasi kepada tower controller untuk meningkatkan dan mempertahankan kinerja, mengadakan training atau refreshing course bagi personel ATC.

Abstract

Competition in the world of work is growing rapidly and human resources are also required to always develop self-competence, plus in the aviation world which currently continues to progress in the field of Aviation Technology which includes Computerized Technology, Radio Communication Technology, to Air Navigation tools that can support activities in the field of aviation. At this time, air transportation is one of the modes that help people to travel long distances. Therefore, services and facilities supporting the air transportation process need to be further improved both in terms of technology, standard procedures, human resources and adequate infrastructure. As with air traffic, all supporting factors must be considered as an effort to improve air traffic services. For better efficiency improvement efforts, namely by making Taxi Routing and Pushback Procedures for Apron Cargo because this can increase the efficiency and safety of air traffic for aircraft movement on the ground By issuing taxi routing apron cargo at the AIP of Kualanamu Airport and issuing Pushback Procedures for apron cargo at the AIP of Kuala Namu Airport

Abstract

The objectives to be achieved in this study are to find out the causes of cadets' learning difficulties in learning Engineering Mathematics and provide solutions to overcome cadets' learning difficulties in learning Engineering Mathematics. The approach in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was carried out in the DIII Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Study Program at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The data sources used are words and actions, photos, written data sources, and graphics. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The sampling technique used is sampling with a sample of cadets. The results of this study obtained that the factors of learning difficulties for cadets in learning Engineering Mathematics were the lack of learning time, the lack of varied sample questions, the lack of learning resources, the lack of understanding of the material, and the absence of peer tutors. The solution in this research is to provide a collection of questions and how to solve them, add learning resources with books or modules, and appoint peer tutors as tutors when

Abstract

ATC personnel have an important role in the process of disseminating meteorological information for every phase of flight. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the meteorological understanding of ATC personnel has on air traffic services at Makassar Air Traffic Services Center. The quantitative research method is used by collecting data using questionnaires for ATC personnel and unstructured interviews with pilots at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar. The data processing used in this study is a correlation test, determination test, and simple linear regression. This study found the correlation coefficient is 0.79117 and the coefficient of determination is 62.6% which explains that understanding meteorology and air traffic services has a strong relationship and personnel ATC’s understanding of meteorology contributes 62.6% to air traffic services. Simple linear regression shows that for every additional 1 value of meteorological understanding, air traffic services will increase by 1.79111, the better the meteorological understanding of ATC personnel, the better the air traffic services at Makassar Air Traffic Services Center.

Abstract

Dalam melakukan usaha perusahaan jasa pengiriman dan freight forwarding membutuhkan pilihan moda jalur dan armada yang tepat untuk melakukan pengiriman barang. Dalam menentukan pilihan moda jalur dan armada bisa meminimalkan resiko-resiko yang bisa terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melakukan analisis pemilihan moda pengiriman barang pada perusahaan jasa pengiriman dan freight forwarding yang ada di wilayah Bali. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan survey langsung ke perusahaan freight forwarding dan melakukan wawancara terkait pemilihan moda jalur dan armada untuk pengiriman barang. Hasil penelitian dalam menentukan moda jalur perlu diperhatikan adalah packing barang, asuransi pengiriman, dokumen pengiriman serta armada pengangkut. Pilihan moda jalur menurut perusahaan freight forwarding mengguna 3 moda yaitu darat, laut dan udara. Dalam menetukan moda jalur juga memperhatikan permintaan dari pengirim barang mengenai waktu sampai barang. Perusahaan freight forwarding yang mengirimkan barang dengan kapasitas dan ukuran besar, kecenderungan memilih moda jalur darat dengan jenis kendaraan truk. Untuk pengiriman keluar negeri perusahaan lebih memilih menggunakan moda jalur laut dengan armada kapal apabila barang yang dikirim berat dan berukuran besar untuk menghemat biaya pengiriman. Untuk ukuran barang ringan seperti barang seni yang bernilai tinggi juga pengiriman barang melalui moda udara dengan armada pesawat cargo.

Abstract

Abstract Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) has been widely used as a reference for Indonesian aviation cadets’ English communication skills in the workplace. The present study aimed at examining cadets’ TOEIC-Readiness and TOEIC MOCK results to unravel their preparedness in doing the TOEIC test. There were 168 cadets chosen purposively based on their education grades and seven study programs at Civil Aviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. The study used a cross-sectional survey research design with a quantitative research approach. The instruments included a questionnaire of TOEIC-readiness and a TOEIC mock test Listening-Reading. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistical test and paired-sample t-test. Results showed that most cadets’ final TOEIC readiness was in the very high category and the majority of their TOEIC Mock test results were in the intermediate to advanced working proficiency levels (scores: 400 - 990). The cadets’ TOEIC readiness and mock test results showed a strong positive relationship, thus, the better their readiness, the higher the TOEIC score achieved (r = .785; p = .000, N = 168). The present study implied that lecturers must know their students’ readiness before determining effective TOEIC training. Keywords: TOEIC-Readiness test, TOEIC MOCK test, Aviation cadets
