Abstract

Tukad Unda flood control project has complex work that poses occupational health and safety risks. The objectives of the study identify occupational safety and health risks, determine the value of risks, determine the causes of the Tinggiest risks and determine risk control. The research used the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control and Domino methods. The study showed 101 hazard identifications with 34 sources of danger, of which the extreme category was 31 risks, the Tinggi category was 46 risks and the Sedang category was 24 risks. Factors causing the Tinggiest risk are the lack of attention of workers during safety talks, lack of optimizing standard operating procedures for work procedures, the absence of regular inspection of work equipment and areas, the lack of structured work position arrangements and safety signs, workers not wearing personal protective equipment, workers lacking discipline in the application of personal protective equipment , workers are less concerned about the work area environment, workers are less vigilant, workers joke when doing work and do not apply work instructions. Risk control with meeting box tools, arranging work positions and tools, work permits and personal protective equipment.

Abstract

This study designed an axial mode helix antenna with a working frequency used of 2.1 GHz, which has a return loss value of < -10 dB and VSWR < 1.3. The simulation was carried out using the CST studio suite 2020 software by designing a helix antenna from the calculation results to optimization of the helix antenna structure, namely the distance between the windings, the number of windings, the diameter of the windings, and the diameter of the ground plane until the simulation results are in accordance with the specifications of the desired parameters. Based on the final results of the return loss parameters and VSWR has met the designed specification standards, from the simulation results of the axial mode helix antenna, the results were obtained, namely at a return loss of -22 dB and at a VSWR value obtained 1.17. The results of the measurement of the axial mode helix antenna obtained the same result at a return loss of -22 dB and at VSWR 1.17 but the frequency value used in the measurement shifted to 2.45 GHz, this is not a problem because the s-band frequency can work from 2 GHz to 4 GHz.

Abstract

Research was conducted to develop a data acquisition and control system using Arduino on a Windows operating system based on a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The data acquisition system can store measurement results data which can be used for analysis of the control system. The devices used are an Arduino type Mega 2560 microcontroller and a K type thermocouple using the MAX6675 driver. The GUI was created in the C# programming language using the WinForms application. Data acquisition is carried out using an Arduino device connected to a computer via a USB connection. The control system works by regulating the water heater connected to the relay by Arduino using the setpoint value on the GUI. The data acquisition and control system is designed using PID control mode with parameters Kp = 1.189159, Ki = 2.038558, and Kd = 0.173419. Based on the experimental results, the PID control mode has the smallest error value, namely 871.7 using the IAE method and 402,457 using the ITAE method.

Abstract

Distribution system development Planning is very important in line with the increasing need for electricity loads, attention must be paid to quality of power delivered to consumers. The addition of a distribution network will certainly result in an increase in the capacity and number of transformers and distribution substations. The addition of distribution substations was based on the selection of distribution transformer ratings based on the growth of their load. The distribution transformer loading is made at a maximum of 80% with distributed model. Distribution transformers addition calculation requires an approach to connect the total distribution transformers and distribution substations, namely the average result of the total distribution transformers divided by the total distribution substations, it requires quite complex calculations. To make planning for adding distribution substations easier, you can use the Matlab Graphical User Interface (GUI). With the Matlab GUI program, projections for adding substations can be done easily, quickly, and precisely, and can be applied to any region more accurately. Based on the results of the GUI simulation, it was found that the total additional transformer capacity for the Tangerang area was 1.6 MVA with the addition of 7 distribution substations.

Abstract

The provisions exceed of crack and deflection problems, causing retrofit as best alternative methods more than the conventional. This experimental research determines damage parameters, FRP StrongGlass E450 retrofits design capacity and the behavior of reinforced concrete beams post-retrofitting. Hammer Test results for existing beams with hlap (270 mm) < hmin (286 mm), the minimum concrete quality K.408 not reflecting beam ductile behavior that exceed of allowable cracked and deflection conditions. It has not yet caused collapse, where the tensile test results with fy average 348,47 MPa and fu average 491,32 MPa still exceed the minimum strength, so the BjTP 12 installed contributes maximum for beam ductility. The similarity field deflection values with theoretical analysis and SAP 2000, made SAP 2000 modeling as FRP design, where 1 layer StrongGlass E450, 200 mm wide along 3 beams object, fulfilling flexural strength requirements, shear strength and deflection. Loading test post with sand weighing 4200 Kg (increased 25,98%) in 3 stages, the tensile strength increased 23,879% (117,325 MPa) and strain max. 0,00154 indicates the beam before yielded. Post-density injection could be affects beam stiffness on deflection, pre-retrofit P1 (-34 mm) and P2 (-37 mm), and post-retrofit P1 (-30,8 mm) and P2 (-34,2 mm).

Abstract

The boiler is an important unit in the PLTU in which there is a Superheater to heat the steam so that increase and becomes superheated steam. The problem is secondary superheater pipe bursts due to excessive heat due to the deposit of the oxide layer in it. This study aims to simulate heat transfer in SSH pipes. with Computational Fluid Dynamics, 3 models are made, without a blockage, blockage at the end, and blockage in the middle. The simulation in a steady state, boiler operational data ; pressure, temperature, velocity flow and mass flow rate. The results show different color profiles for temperature, flow velocity and pressure for the steam and for flue gas. Flue gas heat transfer rate is higher around 800,000 kW, and steam is around 80 kW, Steam mass flow rate is 0.046 kg/s while in the flue gas area it is 0.130 kg/s. The average steam flow rate is around 1 m/s, the maximum is 12 m/s in blocked pipe models, Flue gas flow rate is around 9 to 10 m/s. The average steam temperature is 600°C, and 800°C to 900°C. Steam pressure constant in 16,000,000 Pa and flue gas pressure is 100,000 Pa.

Abstract

Semakin kompleksnya sebuah sistem kelistrikan menyebabkan permasalahan yang muncul menjadi semakin kompleks. Salah satu isu yang penting untuk dilakukan kajian adalah terkait kestabilan sistem, khususnya kestabilan sinyal kecil. Power System Stabilizer merupakan komponen dari sistem eksitasi pembangkit yang dapat memberikan solusi dari permasalahan kestabilan sinyal kecil jika dilakukan pengaturan yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan observasi parameter Power System Stabilizer untuk meningkatkan kestabilan sinyal kecil pada sistem IEEE 39 Bus. Power System Stabilizer dapat meningkatkan batas kestabilan sistem dengan melakukan redaman pada osilasi untuk rentang frekuensi 0.2-2.5 Hz. Dalam penentuan pembangkit yang memerlukan pemasangan Power System Stabilizer dilakukan pemodelan generator menggunakan model Heffron–Phillips dimana dalam menentukan generator yang perlu dipasang PSS digunakan perhitungan fakor partisipasi. Penentuan parameter PSS mejadi krusial dimana, dengan menganalisa batas-batas kestabilan dan proses iterasi nilai faktor penguatan, konstanta waktu, dan washout filter dapat ditentukan. Berdasarkan analisis modal didapatkan bahwa G10 memiliki partisipasi tinggi dalam moda yang tidak stabil sehingga diputuskan perlu dilakukan pemasangan PSS pada generator tersebut. Setelah dilakukan pemasangan PSS didapatkan faktor redaman yang dihasilkan oleh pemasangan PSS masih kurang dari 5%. Melalui penggunaan metoda Heffron–Phillips diperlukan adanya langkah tambahan optimasi tambahan sehingga penentuan parameter PSS dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The CT saturation analysis approach model was carried out using ATPDraw and Mathcad software simulations. Input simulation data obtained from CT testing at West Priok Substation, namely ratio, excitation curve V-rms-Irms, Rct. Based on the simulation results, the CT model was successfully implemented for CT conditions at the West Priok Substation which experienced saturation, as seen from the results of the distorted waveforms and the THDi value of 40.612%. These results are then compared with the IEC 61869-2 standard with the parameters obtained from the CT-Analyzer test on E-t, Ek, Ie, Kx, and Rct, that E-t is -1%, Ek is 635.25 V, Ie is 13.5 mA, Kx of 0.084 and Rct of 7432.57 ohm. This result is a deviation from the specified standard, meaning that the CT is damaged and saturated. After replacing the CT, it was tested again and the value of E-t was -0.010%, Ek was 936.09 V, Ie was 9.68 mA, Kx was 14.39 A, Rct was 4.226 ohm, and the waveform simulation results were not distorted, then the THDi value obtained by 0.08%. This indicates that the CT is in good condition and does not experience saturation when the short circuit current is 20 kA.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of job scheduling in a three-machine flowshop to minimize the total cost of lateness, earliness, and rescheduling. This research takes a real system from one of the manufacturing companies engaged in the machining operations of various components. There are 12 jobs with different arrival patterns and due dates. The company uses the first-in, first-out (FIFO) scheduling method and gets the result that some products finish early and some finish late. This study tries to improve the company's scheduling performance by proposing a rescheduling using the rolling time window (RTW) method. Although it is relatively small, scheduling results show an improvement in company performance as measured by the total cost of earliness, lateness, and rescheduling, although it is relatively small (3%). This improvement is obtained by suggesting the company reschedule every 15 days by evaluating the length of the window per 30 days. The company can still use the FIFO method used by the company considering the characteristics of the jobs that come to it are still under control. The company is deemed capable of making agreements with consumers regarding the delivery deadline, making the job queues on the production floor less crowded.

Abstract

Flexible pavement is a road pavement that uses asphalt as a binder. Asphalt mixture performance needs to be improved by modifying using admixture material to improve its durability and resistance to plastic deformation. To increase the performance of asphalt mixtures, one of the alternatives is to utilize Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste. Hot Rolled Sheet (HRS) has a relatively high asphalt content compared to other types of mixtures because of is waterproof. This study was carried out using the dry method, Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste was added to the aggregate and hot asphalt mixture at the temperature of the mixture. Variations in the content of Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste added are 3%, 3.5%, and 4% by weight of asphalt. The characteristics of the asphalt mixture were the test results showed an increase in stability of 10 - 20% and the melting value was at 3 - 4mm. The residual strength index value shows that the addition of Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste can increase the resistance to damage by a percentage of 0.55% compared to without the addition of Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste. The level of addition of Polyethylene (PE) plastic waste is in the range of 3.5-3.9%.
