Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop learning media based on adobe flash professional CS6 on the subject of mechanics (kinematics and dynamics). In this research produced a product in which several questionnaires were distributed to several experts: media experts, concept experts, linguists, lecturers and students, to find out the validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning media. The research method uses the ADDIE approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of this study found that the learning media has good indicators. This is evidenced by the results of data analysis obtained from respondents. Based on the assessment of media experts, concept experts and language experts learning media are categorized as very valid, with an average percentage of 91.25% by media experts, 92% by concept experts and 100% by language experts. The practicality of the media obtained 91% of the responses of lecturers, 84% of students with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the media obtained from an increase in student learning outcomes by 0.8% with high improvement criteria. From the results of the data obtained, this learning media have valid criteria according to experts, practical, and effective and can be used by lecturers and student.

Abstract

Succesfully conducted a study entitled development of e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid to develop student’s creative thinking skill in senior high school. This research is aimed at generating e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid valid and practical. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) using Rowntree model which in the procedure consisted of three stages: planning stage, development stage and evaluation stage. The evaluation stage employed were formative evaluation Tessmer which consisted of four stages: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The data collection technique using walkthrough and questionnaires. The validity is assessed by three experts that is in content aspect, learning design aspect, and e-learning aspect. Of the results expert review obtained an average assessment of 93,73% with a very valid criteria. While on stage one-to-one evaluation showed an average assessment of 89,67% with a very practical criteria. In the small group evaluation, the result is an average percentage of 92,91% with a very practical criteria. Based on the result that e-learning on the subject of dynamic fluid to developing student’s creative thinking skill in senior high school which have been developed into the criteria of very valid and very practical.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of causal learning models on the creativity of class X students of MAN 2 Mataram academic year 2018/2019. The type of research used was quasi-experimental design with untreated control group design with pretest-and posttest. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA MAN 2 Mataram. The research sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique, so that students of class X MIA 6 were selected as many as 33 people as the experimental class and the X MIA 5 class as many as 34 people as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of causal learning models and control classes using conventional learning. The instrument used to measure the creativity of students in the form of a description test as many as 6 items. The research hypothesis was tested using the t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the t-test obtain a t-count value of 5.02 smaller than t_table which is equal to 2.00 (H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted). So it can be concluded that there is the influence of causal learning models on the creativity of students. This result can be proven by the N-gain test, where there is an increase in creativity by 37% for the experimental class and the control class by 19% with the medium category.

Abstract

Learning creativity is one of the important things in a learning process. The creativity of student in learning will greatly affect the student to obtain a success. This study aims to determine the level of student learning creativity at Jambi City Ferdy Ferry High School on physics subjects. The type of research method used is quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The instrument used was a learning independence questionnaire consisting of 23 statements using 4 likert scales. The subjects of this study were students of class XII Science 3 and XII Science 4 SMAS Ferdy Ferry Jambi City, which totaled 43 student. The results of the questionnaire data were processed using SPPS to get accurate data. The results showed that in class XII Natural Sciences 3 the category was never as much as 9.5% (2 of 21 students), the rare category was 33.3% (7 of 21 students), the frequent category was 38.1% (8 out of 21 students), and the category was always as many as 19% (4 of 21 students). And the results of research from class XII Science 4 categories never amounted to 9.1% (2 of 22 students), rare categories of 18.2% (4 of 22 students), frequent categories of 54.5% (12 out of 22 students), and categories always amounted to 18.2 % (4 out of 22 students). From the research that has been carried out it can be seen that students from both classes are at the same level of creativity.

Abstract

Misconceptions are one of the problems that often occur in education. This objected aims to identify misconceptions of pre-service physics teachers’ in motion concept from various representations. The method used in this research is descriptive method. A total of 40 pre-service physics teachers’ at a university in the city of Mataram were involved in this study. The instrument used in the study was a three tier test with open reasons. The reasons have been made to be open aims so that pre-service physics teachers’ are more free to describe the understanding that is in their cognitive structure. A total of 15 test items used in this study. The questions are classified into three types of representations namely; verbal, vigural, and graphics. The results showed that 67% of pre-service physics teachers have misconceptions on the concept of linier motion, 53% of misconceptions on the concept of vertical motion, and 57% of misconceptions on the concept of parabolic motion. The result shows that 61% of pre-service physics teachers’ have misconceptions on verbal type questions, 59% of misconceptions on vigural type , and 61% misconceptions on graphic type.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of generative learning models on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (2) the effect of initial knowledge on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (3) the interaction between generative learning models with initial knowledge of students' critical thinking physics abilities. This type of research is a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design. The population were all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Gunungsari in the 2018/2019 school year. The research sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique, so students in class X MIA 3 were selected as the experimental class and students in class X MIA 4 were as the control class. Initial knowledge data were taken using multiple choice tests of 10 questions and critical thinking abilities data using 5 question essay tests. The results of the data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of generative learning models on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (2) there is an influence of initial instruction on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (3) there is no interaction effect between the generative learning model and initial knowledge on the students' critical thinking abilities in physics.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models toward of the seventh-grade students' scientific literacy on energy material. The research methodwas quasi-experimental study with Nonequivalent Control Group design. For data analyze, the test results were performed using the hypothesis testing (Independent sample t-test). The results of this study in the DI (Direct Instruction) learning in the control class were 60,20 in the pretest scores and 72,20 in the posttest scores.Meanwhile, the guided inquiry learning in the experimental class, the mean of pretest scores was 66,93 and the mean of posttest scores was 83,00. Hypotheses testing the ability of scientific literacy found sig-tailed value of 0.00, because the value of sig <0.05, It meant that H0was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on the data, it could be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model had significant difference on the literacy ability of the seventh grade students on energy material.

Abstract

This research aim is to investigate the impact of simulation media toward critical thinking skill in static fluid concept. The research was conducted during 28 January 2019 until 13 February 2019 in SMAN 10 South Tangerang. The purposive sampiling technique was adjusted to determine subject which consist students role of XI IPA 2  as experiment class and XI IPA 1 as control class. The research used quasi experiment method due to nonequivalent control group design. The data were collective by 10 essays test and questionnaire and Mann Whitney to analyse the accpetance of hypothesis. Thus, the result of postest score who learn using simulation media was significant (angka signifikan) effected toward critical thinking skill. In addition,  the N-Gain result indicated student performance of  experiment class was higher improvement than control class. However, learning using simulation media got best category resulting 86% percentage  from student response questionnaire.

Abstract

This aim of this research was to analyze students’critical thinking skills. The research was a quantitative descriptive research. The research of critical thinking skills was tested using essay questions. The instrument of critical thinking skills was developed based on Ennis’ critical thinking skill indicators, namely: identifying questions, proposing hypotheses, determining an action, considering the use of appropriate procedures, recording observation results, interpreting questions, identifying and dealing with irrelevance, and giving definitions. Based on the research result, 21% of students had medium critical thinking skills, 64% of students had low critical thinking skills, and 15% of students had very low critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aim to examine the effect of probing prompting assisted video learning model for learning outcomes and critical thinking skill of student. This type of research is quasi experiment with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The research population was all students of X MIA MAN 2 Mataram. Sampling technique of this research use cluster random sampling so that there are two classes that is X MIA 1 as the experimental class and X MIA 3 as the control class. Type test used 20 choice question for learning outcomes and 5 essay for critical thinking skill. The posttest mean value for learning outcomes in experimental class and control class is 42,36 and 34,86. The posttest mean value for critical thinking skill in experimental class and control class is 54,86 and 46,08. Hypothesis testing of this research is MANOVA. The result of MANOVA test show a significant 0,004 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research is there is the effect of  probing prompting learning model assisted video for learning outcomes and critical thinking skill of student.ÂÂ
