Abstract

Through the use of digital e-comic media combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, this study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 001 Palembang in the 2025–2026 academic year on the water cycle topic. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) as its methodology and was conducted in two cycles. A total of 25 students from class 5A participated as research subjects. Tests, observations, and documentation were used as data collection methods. Based on the research findings, students’ understanding increased from the first to the second cycle. Only three students (12%) met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC), and the average pretest score was only 47.2. After the implementation of Cycle I, 16 students (64%) achieved the MMC, and the average score increased to 71.6. In Cycle II, all students (100%) exceeded the MMC, with an average score of 82.4. These findings indicate that the improvement of students’ understanding of the water cycle material through the use of the Problem Based Learning approach and e-comic media was successful.

Abstract

The problem of low student learning engagement in the subject of Akidah Akhlak, especially in the material of Adab Berteman, is the main focus of this study. The results of initial observations in class IV Al Qudus MIN 4 Jombang showed that most students tended to be passive, did not understand the values of adab, and had not shown active participation in learning. This study aims to increase student learning engagement through the application of the Blended Learning method which combines a lecture approach with the use of mind map media as a visual aid. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Kemmis and McTaggart which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study consisted of 36 students of class IV Al Qudus. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning engagement, the ability to understand the contents of the material, and active participation in discussions and making mind maps. In cycle I, student involvement was still limited, but in cycle II more than 85% of students showed increased participation and were able to compile and explain mind maps with the theme of Adab Berteman independently or in groups. The conclusion of this study is that the Blended Learning method is effective in increasing student learning engagement and helping internalize the values of manners in learning Akidah Akhlak.

Abstract

Making science lesson plans in elementary school and practicum guides are needed to plan systematic learning in accordance with the material being taught so that learning objectives can be achieved and learning can be understood by students. In addition, to facilitate the delivery of a series of materials This research uses descriptive qualitative research with the subject, namely the V C class teacher of SD Negeri 001 Tanjungpinang Timur, the research was conducted using interview data collection techniques which were carried out on November 21, 2023. The interview process was assisted by question instruments, stationery and audio and visual recording devices. This research is intended and intended so that we can find out what problems are behind student understanding, the difficulty of making lesson plans and also the difficulty of determining appropriate media and practicum modules that can be easily understood, especially at SD Negeri 001 Tanjungpinang Timur.

Abstract

Based on observation sheets and interviews with Jambi University physics education students, it is known that there is no teaching material that can provide an overview to students about making Internet of Things (IoT) projects with NodeMCU ESP32 so that students still find it difficult in making Internet of Things (IoT) material projects with NodeMCU ESP32. This study aims to develop a project-based electronics module (Project Based Learning) on Internet of Things (IoT) material with NodeMCU ESP3. The method used is research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model, including the analysis, design, and development stages. Module validation data is collected through a questionnaire sheet filled in by material validation and media validation. The results of material validation show that the module has a feasibility of 92% with a very feasible category, while the results of media validation show a feasibility of 90.16% with a very feasible category. Module trials were conducted on 27 Jambi University Physics Education students, which showed student perceptions of the module of 83.03% in the very good category. Based on these results, this module is considered feasible and effective as an alternative teaching material in learning electronics, especially on Internet of Things (IoT) material with NodeMCU ESP3 in university.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are crucial for students, as they reflect their readiness to become lifelong learners and overcome challenges in the modern era. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes through the flipped classroom method. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik with Grade VII B students. It employed a classroom action research design consisting of several stages: pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The process included the following steps: (1) the teacher plans the lesson, (2) the teacher implements the flipped classroom model by reviewing previously delivered material before introducing new content, (3) students are instructed to form groups, (4) the flipped classroom model is used to provide practice questions, and (5) the teacher reflects on the learning process. The results indicate that implementing the flipped classroom method led to an 85% improvement compared to the initial 60%. This demonstrates that the flipped classroom method significantly enhances students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

One of the learning media that is interesting and easy to find and operate in science learning is the Wordwall educational game. Therefore, this research aims to improve student learning outcomes in science and science learning through the Wordwall educational game learning media in class IV at SDN Babat Jerawat II, especially regarding plant body parts. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which uses a research design from Kemmis and Taggart, consisting of two cycles with each cycle consisting of one meeting. The subjects of this research were 27 grade IV students at SDN Babat Jerawat II, consisting of 13 male students and 14 female students. Data collection techniques used include observation, structured interviews, tests (pre-test and post-test), and documentation. The research results show an increase in student learning outcomes after using the Wordwall educational game media. In cycle I, the percentage of student learning completeness reached 37% with an average score of 61.85, while in cycle II, the percentage of student learning completeness increased to 78% with an average score of 80.74. Thus, the use of the educational game media Wordwall can improve student learning outcomes in material on plant body parts in class IV SDN Babat Jerawat II.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research to improve students' IPAS learning outcomes about sound and its properties through science kits. Science kits are didactic tools used in science learning and include whips, whips, funnels, balances, and others. This research was conducted in 2 cycles and pre-cycle, and each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. This PTK research consists of 4 stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation stage, the evaluation and reflection stage. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The sample of this study included all 5th-grade students of SD Negeri 066054 Medan, totaling 23 people. The research data were collected through observation and tests. The tests used in this study consisted of 5 multiple-choice questions and 5 description questions. This research was described quantitatively and qualitatively. The data were analyzed using N-gain with 70% completeness criteria according to KKTP. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes have increased. In cycle I there was an increase of 36%, while in cycle II there was an increase of 48%, and all students it"s completed in their learning outcomes. The increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II increased by 12% because on cycle II learning was more optimal in the learning process.

Abstract

Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) assessment is an important part of Outcome Based Education curriculum. This present study aims to directly measure the PLOs’ achievement in the bachelor program of Nutrition, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The PLOs of the program study consist of three domain aspects namely knowledge, skill, and attitude. The direct measurement was derived from students’ performances in a total of 16 courses taught in even semesters (semesters 2, 4, 6, and, 8) of the program study. The students’ performances were assessed based on their performances in quizzes, classroom participation, mid-semester test, and final semester test by using a rubric of measurement. From the total of 9 PLOs, only 7 PLOs are assessed because in the even semesters, there was no course containing PLO 4 and 9 for their objective. Overall, the PLO mean score was ranging from 73.8 to 82.2. The domain of knowledge has the lowest score compared to the domain of skill and the domain of attitude although the gap difference is very small.
