Abstract

Profesi guru membutuhkan kemampuan menulis untuk menunjang perkembangan karir dan untuk tetap belajar sehingga guru wajib menulis karya ilmiah. Namun, dalam kenyataannya kemauan dan kemampuan guru untuk menulis karya ilmiah masih perlu ditingkatkan. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di daerah Kabupaten Batang dan sekitarnya untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menulis karya tulis ilmih, yang kita fokuskan pada Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode yang digunakan yaitu melalui acara workshop dan pendampingan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah bai guru Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Batang dan sekitarnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terbagi menjadi dua tahap, yaitu tahap pertama pemaparan materi oleh trainer mengenai karya tulis ilmiah. Tahap kedua yaitu kegiatan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah yang dilakukan oleh semua peserta dengan didampingi oleh para trainer. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang telah terlaksana dengan sangat baik dan mendapatkan kesan positif dari semua peserta yang mengikuti program tersebut. Adanya program pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah ini dirasakan sangat bermanfaat oleh peserta, karena melalui program ini guru-guru (peserta) yang mengikuti program ini mendapatkan ilmu baru dalam pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah, khususnya pada pembuatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia siswa melalui penggunaan voice note  pada platform Whatsapp sebagai media diskusi pada siswa kelas III SD Negeri Proyonanggan 01 tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumen. Validitas data adalah triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik, serta validitas isi. Teknis analisis data adalah analisis interaktif, teknik deskriptif komparatif, dan teknik analisis kritis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan voice note pada platform Whatsapp dapat meningkatkan keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia Siswa. Peningkatan keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia siswa tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya nilai keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia pada setiap siklus, yaitu nilai rata-rata keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia siswa pada pratindakan hanya sebesar 69,8. Setekah mendapatkan tindakan di siklus I rata-rata kelas menjadi dan meningkat lagi pada siklus II menjadi 85,1. Pada siklus II siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 30 siswa (90,90%) dari jumlah siswa seluruhnya. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa indikator kinerja penelitian, yaitu ketercapaian KKM ≥75 sebanyak 80% telah terpenuhi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan  voice note  pada platform Whatsapp sebagai media diskusi dapat meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III SD Negeri Proyonanggan 01 tahun ajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak resulted in the changing of learning system from face-to-face learning to online learning. This policy seemed to be inefficient in lecturing since this changing was considered to make it difficult for students to understand the material or, in other words, students could not understand the material optimally. The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of online learning carried out at STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang, so that it was expected to provide contributions and solutions for online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was a qualitative descriptive study by using an online survey method. The primary data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires online to 30 respondents who were students of PGSD STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang. The students were at semester 2 and semester 4. Online learning at STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang was considered ineffective due to many obstacles experienced by students. Moreover, students expected the mixed learning method (online / face-to-face).

Abstract

The government’s policy to enforce online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic brings about a variety of new learning innovations. One of them is the innovation in the evaluation process. This research aimed to know the influence of Quizizz Application in learning evaluation for the learning outcomes of PGSD students in Learning Strategy courses. This research was quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted by categorizing the experimental group by using Quizizz Application and the  control group by using googleform. In this research, the population was all students of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) STKIP Muhammadiyah Batang (20 students). The samples were selected through cluster random sampling. The data were collected through tests and observations. Then, the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test. The result showed that t-result was -30.304 with the significance level of < 0.05, which was 0.000. It could be concluded that applying Quizizz in learning evaluation significantly influenced the students’ learning outcomes. Thus, Quizizz application can be used by teachers as a learning media to design attractive and innovative learning evaluations in online learning.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought big changes to the world of education in Indonesia. Learning that should be done in person or face-to-face turns into online learning. This raises problems for the readiness of schools, teachers, and students in carrying out learning. This study aims to obtain information about the effectiveness of digital media in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, whether digital media has been effective and its use is optimal in learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using an online survey method. The results obtained were that online learning using digital media at SDN 1 Gambasan Temanggung did not increase student scores because only about 20% of student scores had increased, 50% of students also complained about the lack of facilities and infrastructure that support learning. Teachers also have not been able to use digital media in accordance with the characteristics of learning, this is evidenced by 45% of students answered disagree. Students also do not have higher motivation when using digital media, it is proven that only 5% agree. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that digital media is less effective when the supporting facilities and infrastructure are minimal.

Abstract

This program aims to improve the ability of elementary school teachers in Palembang City to create interactive and interesting learning media for students using the Canva application. The method used in this community service activity is using training, assignments, and mentoring. The results of the training and mentoring show that elementary school teachers in Palembang City are able to produce learning media in the form of PowerPoint and interesting learning videos using the Canva application.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of interactive video learning media in Natural Science in grade 6 SDN 02 Palembang. The research method used descriptive qualitative through observation and interviews techniques toward 3 teachers of grade 6. The results of the study showed that teachers need interactive video learning media that can facilitate understanding of science concepts more easily and effectively. This is due to the lack of interactive and technology-based learning resources in the school environment. It is hoped that interactive video learning media can be an interesting and effective teaching alternative to improve the Natural Science learning outcomes of students. Therefore, the development of interactive video learning media needs to be considered in preparing science learning plans in grade 6 SDN 02 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the beginning reading ability of class 3A students at SDN 02 Palembang, South Sumatra. The method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews with class 3A students at SDN 02 Palembang. The results showed that many students still could not read fluently and did not understand the meaning of the words or sentences that were read. Researchers consider that students rely more on sound in learning, they can remember what other people read, and can remember if it is read repeatedly. The results of the study show that internal factors such as interest and tenacity, as well as external factors such as the learning environment and parental support, play an important role in reducing initial reading difficulties in students, especially for students who are already in grade 3 of elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using edutainment media in improving student learning outcomes in calculating the surface area of tube shapes at SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara. This research used experimental method with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample in this study was class VI A which had a total of 31 students including 20 girls and 11 boys. The data collection technique used was a test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes after using edutainment media. From the calculation results, the average pretest score is 50 while the average posttest score is 80. Based on the hypothesis test, the score zcount = -8.0864 while ztabel = 1.9599 with a level of 0.05 (5%). This shows that zcount < ztabel which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that edutainment media can improve student learning outcomes in calculating the surface area of tube shapes at SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara. Therefore, edutainment media can be a solution in overcoming the problems of students' math learning outcomes at the basic education level.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Google Sites learning media that is oriented towards inquiry learning and is used to improve science process skills in students by testing its validity, practicality, effectiveness, and influence on improving science process skills. The research method used is RD, or development. The research model applied is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The validation results obtained from media experts show a percentage of 97.5% or are included in the very valid category. Assessment by material expert validators shows a percentage of 97.5%, which is in the very valid category. Meanwhile, the assessment by language expert validators shows a percentage of 100% or very valid. Media practicality was obtained through a questionnaire that was assessed by fourth-semester students of Primary School Teacher Education FKIP Sriwijaya University with a percentage of 89%, which could be categorized as very practical. Furthermore, to measure effectiveness, it is done by comparing the scores obtained from student observations based on 14 indicators of science process skills before using learning media with a percentage of 41% and after using Google Sites learning media oriented towards inquiry learning with a percentage of 89%, or an increase of 48%, or including them in the effective category. Based on this description, it shows that the Google Sites learning media oriented towards inquiry learning is valid, practical, and effective to use and has an influence on improving science process skills in students.
