Abstract

This study aims to analyze community-based ecotourism strategies to empower the local economy in Bone Regency. Using qualitative methods and a case study approach, this research involved 20 informants consisting of 10 domestic tourists, 5 tourism agency employees, and 5 members of the environmental community. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results showed that the implementation of community-based ecotourism strategies was able to have a positive impact on the local economy. Communities are actively involved in the management of ecotourism destinations, which not only increases their income but also strengthens awareness of the importance of preserving the environment. Community participation in environmental conservation and tourism management, such as waste management and ecosystem conservation, has proven to be an important factor in the success of ecotourism. In addition, the role of local government and the environmental community plays a significant role in supporting the sustainability and development of ecotourism. This study concludes that community-based ecotourism strategies can be an effective model of local economic empowerment, but further collaboration between the government, communities, and tourists is needed to improve social and environmental impacts sustainably.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the grammatical relations of subjects in the Karo language (BK) with a focus on testing subjects using the rules of raising, reflecting and anchoring. Through qualitative descriptive research methods, data was obtained from informants who are native BK speakers. The results of the analysis show that in BK intransitive clauses, the grammatical subject is located in the function of the only argument that follows the verb without an affix, whereas in transitive clauses, the grammatical subject is located in the agent argument. This research provides a deeper understanding of the nature of the subject's behavior in linguistic contexts, especially in regional languages such as BK, which can be an important contribution in enriching linguistic knowledge.

Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the financial performance of grocery stores in the Karangjati Traditional Market, focusing on solvency and liquidity. This study investigates how these two aspects influence the sustainability of businesses and the financial stability of grocery stores in facing local economic challenges and changes in consumer behavior. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of 11 grocery store owners who have been operating for at least 5 years, using qualitative analysis with a thematic analysis method. The results of the study show that having more than 7 years of experience in managing a store significantly contributes to financial stability, particularly in maintaining solvency and liquidity. Nevertheless, this research has limitations in quantitative analysis, where the addition of solvency and liquidity ratios is necessary to provide a clearer picture of financial health. Furthermore, there is a need to discuss external factors such as inflation and changes in staple food prices that affect financial performance. Therefore, it is recommended to include more in-depth quantitative analysis, discuss relevant external factors, and conduct comparative analysis between stable and less stable stores regarding solvency and liquidity to enrich the understanding of the financial performance of grocery stores.

Abstract

The main problem in managing TNI human resources in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era is the skills gap in facing the demands of advanced technology. Many personnel are not fully ready to master technologies such as AI, big data, and IoT which are increasingly crucial in modern military operations. The purpose of this study is to analyze TNI Digital Competence and Human Resource Management in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era. The method used is qualitative descriptive using the SWOT approach. The results of the study show that digital transformation in human resource management and operations of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era is a crucial strategy to strengthen national defense. The use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and virtual simulation (VR) increases operational efficiency and the accuracy of TNI decision-making. This technology also facilitates more realistic and interactive personnel training and reduces the risks and costs of training. However, the success of this transformation is highly dependent on the readiness of infrastructure and budget. Cooperation with industry through public-private partnerships (PPP) is needed to accelerate infrastructure development such as 5G networks and cybersecurity systems. In addition, the development of competent human resources through continuous digital training is a key element in adapting to the dynamics of information-based global threats.

Abstract

This study explores the adoption of digital marketing strategies among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar, Indonesia, focusing on their phased approach, responses to market pressures, and the role of organizational readiness in digital transformation. Utilizing a qualitative case study design, in-depth interviews and observations were conducted with five well-established culinary MSMEs. Thematic analysis and manual coding were used to identify key themes and validate findings on their digital marketing adoption journey. The findings reveal a staged adoption process, beginning with basic social media use and evolving toward e-commerce platforms, targeted advertising, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Market pressures—such as heightened competition and shifting consumer preferences—were key drivers, though adoption levels varied. For instance, while 80% of respondents had adopted e-commerce platforms, others remained limited to social media engagement due to lower organizational readiness. Organizational readiness, encompassing technology infrastructure, financial capacity, and leadership attitudes, was crucial for effective digital adoption. The study highlights the need for tailored support, including digital literacy training, financial assistance, and an innovation-friendly culture, to enhance MSME competitiveness in the digital economy. This research contributes to the broader discourse on digital marketing adoption by providing strategic recommendations to support MSME growth in a digital landscape.

Abstract

Conformity is a type of social influence that encourages individuals to adjust their attitudes and behaviors to align with prevailing social norms. This study aims to explore gender differences in conformity among adolescents. It is hypothesized that there are slight differences in the levels of conformity exhibited by males and females, influenced by the social situations in which conformity occurs and inherent gender differences. The study adopts a literature review approach to identify, evaluate, and interpret relevant research findings on this topic. This process involves evaluating and summarizing existing studies, incorporating insights from recent and earlier publications to provide a comprehensive overview. The findings indicate that females tend to exhibit higher levels of conformity compared to males. Females are more inclined to prioritize interpersonal relationships and maintain group harmony. In contrast, males are generally more concerned with displaying high status and are likely to demonstrate this status through independent actions in decision-making, thinking, and expressing opinions. These results illustrate the role of gender in shaping conformity, influenced by social norms and group dynamics.
